The Mariner Resort Motel

I don’t usually bother reviewing hotels, but we had a very pleasant stay here and I think they deserve extra credit for that. What I was really struck by was how friendly, helpful, and pleasant the staff were. They seemed very genuine and nice. We were able to park before and after check out, which saved us having to pay for parking for the beach and was really convenient (still a bit of a hike if you’re walking, but doable). It’s a great location, centrally located, they do a very decent breakfast spread, the rooms were spacious and clean. I really liked the outdoor patio with plastic chairs outside every room – it was a nice place to sit out and enjoy the weather and it was a nice touch. There was also a full size fridge in our room which was nice – our stay was short, but it was good to be able to put a few things in there to keep cool.

I enjoyed this hotel! The rooms are very clean, the décor is homey, and nice little details are not over looked. I was also happy to see a full size refrigerator and microwave. Don’t skip their breakfast, it’s also lovely.

* Flat screen TV with a good selection of channels
* Bed was comfortable but not the best I’ve slept in

* Absolutely Gorgeous (and clean) outdoor pool with 0 entry way
* Lovely chairs on and enjoy the views of the bogs and the ocean in the far background… Moody beach I believe
* Continental breakfast was much better than expected (they advertise light) but had fresh fruit and I mean watermelon and cantaloupe
* Indoor pool was heated but not by much
* Not really close to town but you can pick up the trolley
* FREE WIFI
* Strict on no kids in the hot tub which my 11 year old traveling son DID NOT like
* Well maintained and kept
* Wonderful HOT shower with plenty of water!
Value:
* At $ 100+ for an off season Sunday night I thought this was little high for this type of place but I’m not familiar with the area.
I would stay here again…

Stay here often. Great prices, pool is very very nice. Great views of the ogunquit river. Staff is very friendly. For these reasons I will keep coming back!

My friend and I booked a suite to stay at the Mariners for the first wknd of June; my father in law passed suddenly on 5/​28, so I called to cancel, 4 days prior to our stay instead of the required 7 days. Scott refused to give us our money back, stating that if I had reserved the regular rooms, he would’ve but since I reserved the suite, and they had to turn people away, he couldn’t do anything (FYI, the price difference between those two rooms were like $ 20 – 50). Even under the circumstances, he would not even offer us a credit to use for another night. Scott did say that I could email him that Sunday (the day of the funeral) to inquire about whether the suite was rented out; if they were able to rent out the room, he would refund my money, less the $ 15. I emailed, and never heard back. It pains me to know that there are such heartless, cruel, and money-​centric people out there.

We stayed there for two nights and was very impressed with the accomodations. The room couldn’t have been any cleaner. And that’s saying alot as my wife is a clean freak and it passed her test with flying colors! I agree with one of the other reviewers that the shower was a pleasant surprise. Lots o water pressure! You will have a great view of the river marsh/​ocean no matter what room you are in. Owners were very pleasant and accomodating. We highly recommend the Mariner and we plan on staying there next year as well.

I stayed here at the Mariner’s for one night and it was very pleasant. Great location and view, nice swimming pool (one indoor, one outdoor, and a hot tub). While we were there, the regular pool was being serviced.
The staff was very nice and helpful! 24-​hour coffee was available at the lounge.
The rooms have a small refrigerator and a microwave — very nice to have those amenities. It was very clean, and the beds were comfy. Great shower. Parking close to the rooms.
