I love this toy store. It’s tiny but CRAMMED with toys. Actually it can be hard to navigate with other customers in the store and I have a big purse so I’m always in the way. That said, I love that they have a lot of older style and traditional toys, not just big-box-chain sort of stuff. You can buy Barbie here, but you can also buy wooden toys and Pustafix — my favorite bubbles to blow! They have a large selection of Schleich animals — another of my favorites. They have beautiful plush hand puppets as well as jigsaw puzzles and electronic robots and kits to build all kinds of stuff. They have Legos and Playmobil. When I want to get a gift for a child and I don’t want it to be like every other gift, I come here. The prices are a little high, but so is the selection and quality. The man behind the counter is cool and friendly and I just love coming here. I highly recommend it!

Excellent selection of interesting toys. They really pack a lot into their little shop and have toys that you will not find in big box stores.

While it is true that this toy store has a solid selection of interesting toys, they are crammed in and it us difficult to find what you are looking for. The saleswoman was unhelpful, and seemed annoyed to be disturbed from eating or a personal conversation. I mentioned this to a proprietor of another Ojai store, and she said that she hears similar reports all the time. If you care about customer service or common decency, skip Serendipity.

Serendipity Toys is a cute little toy shop. It’s a small space filled with toys. The toys here are meant for younger kids about under the age of eight. It’s for the kids who are not yet consumed by Apple products and video games consoles but are perfectly content with crafts, board games, Legos sets, stuffed animals, and cute hand puppets.

What a great store! They have all the good stuff for the little ones-Haba, Plan, Thomas, plus lots of stuff for older kids too. Let’s just say I had to drag the hubby out of this store, he was having so much fun looking around. Two little boys were buying Legos when I was there and they kindly complimented the owner when they left. They told him they loved his store. Cute. The only down side is that is is super chock full of stuff and hard to move around and see everything. They may need to move to a bigger space.

I was lucky to experience a good old fashioned toy store like this one. Hidden in the back of a shopping complex next to big oak trees is a cute little toy shop with very interesting toys. I spent time drooling all the Bryer horses(was really into horses) or any of the interesting puzzle type games. Great place for a unique gift that you know not everyone else at the party will bring also.

This is every child’s(and kid at heart’s) dream store. They have every toy imaginable. Actually that is not true. They have every quality toy that encourages the use of the imagination and development. Many of the toys here are made of wood. There are also many European brands. They have an aisle of dress-up clothes. As well as a collection of wood Thomas the tank engine items. One can actually build the whole Thomas the tank engine world. I found several great gifts for my 6 year old nephew. It was hard to narrow down the options.
