The Academy of Hair Design began teaching and training Oklahoma City’s up and coming Career Salon Professionals in 2005 providing every aspect of Salon Education. It was great at first they have decent customer service BUT when it came time to flat iron my hair the lady just blew dry it then only took a couple of sections of hair and flat ironed it my bangs were puffy along with my bangs I had to go home and flat iron my hair and on top of it the actual teacher Joe cut my bangs with out even styling them he just took some hair and snipped it so I was like ok. then I went back to get them fixed he cut them really short then thinned out my hair with out asking permission I have thin hair already then to make everything worse they are not even!!! Plus they can’t dye your hair how you want it so… I would not recommend this salon unless are ready for pure dissapomtment and bad hair days

I have been using the school’s services for a few years and have never had a bad haircut, color or experience! That cannot be said of two much more expensive salons that I have gone to! They have made great color and cut recommendations and I always receive tons of compliments after a visit here! The down side is that you have to allow enough time for the visit as these are students who don’t work as quick and the hours are limited. I’m hoping that the other review just has a onetime experience as I have never seen anyone be rude or disrespectful. In fact, I am amazed at how professional the people are. The instructors are in a tough position having to correct students in front of a client, not an easy task, but from what I have witnessed, it is done professionally and always with an explanation on why the correction should be made.
