American Camaro and Firebird

They do have some hard to find parts but for anything they have expect to pay top dollar for it. If you walk in when they are busy you will not get the best service. I came in to get a quote on some parts and was spit balled some prices that were 200% to 400% to buy them online. I was astounded at the price that was given me and when I brought up the fact that they were so high and I was given a shoulder shrug and a have a nice day. So, in review, do your homework before you buy from them and shop around. If it is not a rare or hard to find part, goto another yard. Your wallet will thank you.

Called in to make sure they had a 21 pin seat switch for a Camaro. I was very specific because I had already purchased one that looked identical but only was an 8 pin connector, which is much more common on these cars. Every auto parts store on line says they are out of stock or discontinued.
They were very nice on the phone, said they had the part, quoted me a good price, said they would pull the item and have it waiting up front. Because I live 45 miles away but my wife works near them I sent her to pick up the part. That was an error in judgement on my part as she has limited time on her lunch hour. I have this crazy thing where I expect people to do what they say they are going to do, so I thought she would be in and out quickly.
My wife arrives and they have not pulled the part. The lady behind the counter has no idea what my wife is talking about. My wife ends up being there about an hour while the parts guy pulls three different seat switches only to find out they do not have the part. Then they tell my wife they thought all the switches were the same. That is a strange statement since I had been on the phone the day before explaining the difference between the two and what I needed and why.
Needless to say I will not be back to this establishment (or my wife).

I called around and this seemed to be the only place that had used corvette parts locally. I called on Monday and asked for the hand brake assembly. He put me on hold to check availability. After about 5 minutes he confirmed it. Since he closes at 5, I told him I would pick up on Wednesday.
On Wednesday it takes me longer than I hoped to find the place. (South side of the road just East of Bens auto sales. Definitely not the prettiest place but what do you expect from s salvage place?
Once they got to me and I told him what I was there for, the owner told his worker exactly what I needed and where the car is that parts were being extracted. They let me go back there and check it out to see if that’s what I wanted. His quote over the phone was 65, but after he saw that I was taking the cable he was going to charge me 10 more. On ebay they were 65 +12−20 shipping, so I thought that was fair. We ended up negotiating $ 80 after tax instead of $ 82, so that was a plus. They take cash, checks and credit cards, including Amex which is always a bonus. Overall very friendly and helpful, considering they are the only game in town.

No refunds, well posted and disclosed, just not a very good practice in this day and age.
They do have hard to find parts for your car, just do your best to be sure of fitment and that it works first. Cost more in additional labor on many parts to have work redone if the used part was not good…
