What a gourmet experience! Each meal meticulously prepared with fresh, flavorful ingredients. A unique combination of ingredients that wow the tastebuds. Our party had the Shrimp & Grits, Alaskan Halibut, Braised Short-Ribs, Filet Mignon, and Ribeye Steak. We finished with the Ice Cream Ball for dessert, split 5 ways. All paired with a great Napa Valley Cabernet. A perfect meal enjoyed by all!

24 hour business trip to OKC and while in surgery(Med Device Rep) I asked the surgeon where I should eat… I was immediately bombarded with 4 people saying Cheever’s. They weren’t wrong, you should definitely eat at Cheever’s ! As I was stag for dinner, I sat at the bar and was greeted by multiple friendly staff members. After a through walk through of the menu by Ben the bartender… It was time to eat. Starter: Kale salad… Had grapefruit, nuts, all sorts of goodness(fantastic) Dinner: Chicken Fried Steak — no words… Could feed an army with this but best CFS I’ve had Dessert: salted pecan ice cream… It was like a frozen, award winning, pecan pie! Definitely will eat here again!

I have heard about Cheever’s Café from many co-workers so it has been on my list of must try places for a while and it definitely lives up to it’s reputation. Our party of 7 made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. We started with the Blue Cheese Potato Chips, Roasted Quail Short Stack and Crispy Calamari. All were great choices but surprisingly, the Roasted Quail Short Stack was my favorite. For dinner, the server recommended the Short Ribs, Chicken Fried Steak and Shrimp and Grits. We ordered those and Tequila Lime Shrimp. I had a chance to taste each dish and the Short Ribs and Chicken Fried Steak were my favorites. The ambiance is upscale casual and the service is fantastic. Great for groups or a special occasion. Prices are a little on the high side, but Cheever’s Café is definitely worth it!

Cheever did not disappoint! The food, drinks, and service were all great! We will definitely be back to try some of the other things on the menu. I did want to specifically point out that we absolutely loved our server! I made a point to see what her name was on the receipt… it was spelled different so I might butcher it(Kaeli?). She really knew her stuff and we appreciated her input. The only complaint I do have is the extra parking across the street. There are some potholes that are massive. The entire lot needs repaved. I feel like for the money they are earning from each plate they can definitely afford to throw some money at that.

Organizing a Bachelorette Weekend is not easy… but Cheever’s was an absolute highlight. About a week and a half before the weekend, I made a reservation for 6. We all arrived on time and were seated immediately. We started off with a stunning array of craft cocktails along side a basket of dinner rolls and butter.(Bonus points to the chefs of Cheever’s who dust the butter with Himalayan salt. Well done!) The food came out relatively quickly, but we would have gladly waited longer, taking in the atmosphere and sipping our cocktails. Between the six of us, we have a wide array of dietary restrictions and preferences. Cheever’s satisfied everyone. As the vegetarian in the bunch, I must admit that I often concede before heading to fancier restaurants that my future is likely nothing more than a plate of grilled veggies generously described on the menu with empty words. But oh goodness… their cauliflower bread pudding was insane! The brussels sprouts that accompanied the dish were roasted to perfection. Everything was filled with flavor. I was blown away. The dish would have benefited from a heavier hand when topping with goat cheese, but man, they certainly know what they’re doing. Cheever’s Café provided the perfect start to a weekend of premarital mayhem. Our waitress was on point. The chefs worked miracles. And the bartenders mix a mean cocktail. If I’m ever in Oklahoma City again, I will certainly make a point to stop by again. This meal is unlike any other.

Amazing! We sat outside. The weather was perfect and our waiter was great. We started out with the sweet potato bleu cheese chips. For our meals, I got the Uptown BLT with fruit and my husband got the Chicken Fried Steak. Phenomenal. I would definitely recommend.

The server was great! Shout out to Eliot :) Atmosphere is nice. It’s kind of compact but the food was so worth it. The bread they have is a herb/garlic roll that was fresh and hot. The roasted chicken and grits was amazing. Will be back! Best food I’ve had so far in OKC.

The All-Nighter cocktail on the brunch menu is the best brunch cocktail I’ve ever seen — coffee-infused bourbon is a good way to start any meal, but the black walnut bitters help balance the cream and cinnamon-vanilla syrup that makes it not too sweet and a hell of a lot more interesting than a bloody Mary. Like the fresh bread served with ice cold butter, the rest of the brunch menu is decent but with room for improvement. I think the chicken-fried steak had a pretty crunchy crust when it was originally prepared, but once it was smothered in that red chile hollandaise, that crust turned to mush. And although avocado is still pretty trendy, it was just another textureless addition to a plate that already had so much mush that was getting sopped up by my potatoes. It had no business being there. Flavors on the CFS and potatoes were nice and assertive. Bread pudding is a really smart entrée for those that want a sweet brunch item, and it’s even better when topped with berries, maple cream, and bacon. There’s really no going wrong here, so long as you like to start your day with copious amounts of sugar. Cheever’s is what you’re looking for in a brunch spot: a little exciting, but also very comforting. A fine way to send off the weekend.

This was my first time here. After leaving the Zoo I was perusing though Unilocal and had to try it out. First off, make sure you have a reservation… the restaurant is small and it was Mother’s day, but we were able to dine outside. The food was great!!! We had Chicken Fried Steak, the Masa Vallo Con Heuvos, and the Cowgirl Benedict! The chicken fried steak was lunch portion, but filling since it was plated with red potatoes. Definitely recommend and will return in the near future!

Cheever’s is quality, upscale comfort food in a cool environment. While a bit pricy, it always makes me happy. I love the chicken fried steak wth jalepeno gravy. The only reason that I’m not giving it 5 stars is because my guests haven’t always been as wowed by the food. I have tried the chicken fried steak, the shrimp and grits, and a pasta at lunch once. The pasta was the only meal that I didn’t like, so since then i have stuck with one of the other two options I listed. I don’t remember which pasta dish I ordered; I try to pretend like it didn’t happen because I love Cheever’s so much. I really enjoy the bread they bring out. My favorite part is that they bring it a pat of butter with some kind of spectacular specialty salt on the butter. I need to ask about the salt the next time I go. It makes my heart sing. Oh wait, was that a heart attack? No, just joy. The tables are pretty small and a lot of them are packed into the small space, but I don’t find it too claustrophobic. It does get a little loud sometimes. If you go for brunch, make sure you make reservations in advance. Most evenings you can stop in and get a table without reservations, but that’s not the case with brunch.

I would love to hate this place, but I can’t. Everything about this restaurant is awesome, except for its size and price, but that gives it it’s unique niche. The hostesses are so friendly and the waitstaff are bar none. Very attentive, understanding and spot on. From the last time I came here, the prices have gone up(Chocolate cake went from $ 8 to $ 11), but it is still a packed house. Perfect date setting as well since the mood lighting is more romantic and hides the blemishes better? I did notice a lot of older men with younger ladies, so either they have the daddy daughter date or … well you know where I am going with that ;-) They bring out these rolls with seasoned butter. Not sure what the seasoning is, but the waitress couldn’t bring out the rolls fast enough. I got the Fish special which was a tuna steak cooked medium rare. It was in a bed of spinach and couscous type grain. The fish seemed a little dry, but that may be tuna steaks in general? I know tuna steaks are a stern beefy type meat, so I cannot fault the cooks for this. We got the ice cream ball and honestly, it was hard for 6 of us to finish it. Chocolate and roasted pecans glazed this pound of excellence. Of course the difficult part was paying at the end which was easily $ 40 – 60 with no drinks or appetizers. I will be back when I can find a sugar mama to subsidize my meal :-)

If you do anything with your life, make a reservation for Sunday brunch here. I’m not saying it will complete you… but it might. The Green Chile Pork Stack was epic. I love it when I eat a dish and I can tell that someone much smarter than me spent time pairing up flavors that go so perfectly together. The French Toast Bread Pudding was no slacker, either. The only reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 was the waitstaff. We made a reservation and were one of the first tables to be seated as we got there early. They sat us directly next to the door and the huge line. It was probably the worst seat in the place, so we decided to ask if we could move to any of the dozen of other open two person tables… only we couldn’t find our server to save our lives. Finally we just moved and apologized later. For a place in this price range that clearly prides itself on being classy I expect more from the staff.

Last time I visited okc, I was quoted a 3 hour wait! This time I made reservations and was seated immediately. I also came on a weekday(Friday) versus a Sunday. With that being said, I had high expectations for this restaurant. We started off with calamari which came with two sauces. This was a decent starter. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. We are carnivores so we loved this dish. Paired with mashed potatoes and a jalapeño gravy. I ordered the mixed seafood tamale. I was fairly disappointed as I did not like the cilantro rice and felt as though it was lack luster. I am sure there was also chicken in the dish which really conflicts with the name of the dish. I didn’t love this item and would probably not order this again. I have heard good reviews on the desserts so we decided to go with the carrot cake. It is extremely large so expect to share with 3 – 4 people. It was very moist and flavorful but toooooo sweet! It is drizzled with an icing and caramel which, in my opinion, is not needed. Overall, I felt like this was just OK. I think I need to try it again but the only thing that really won me over was the chicken fried steak and it’s probably because I’m a Texas gal.

Wouldn’t it be great if brunch was served three times a day? We went for brunch and it knocked my socks off! The first time I had the french toast bread pudding. It’s so huge! and perfect, sweet but not overwhelming with these delicious berries on top. Whatever those potatoes they serve for brunch are out of this world. The next time I went I had the cowgirl eggs benedict. Yes. This is the way it should always be served. Red chili hollandaise — I could put it on everything all the time. The ambiance is lovely inside with a very homey feel. I also like that they have outside seating if you like as well. Our server was very attentive and kind — he really made our dining experience better. They have my loyalty forever.

Beautiful use of a vintage building, fine staff, great barman, and quality food. Even a non-carnivore can find something tasty on the menu. Honestly, the selection of clever, tasty salads is a delight; a chopped salad, side of garlic mashed potatoes, and one or two of the fresh, hot, complimentary bread rolls makes a most satisfying meal for me. Now and then I’ll go overboard with one of the epic desserts offered, which are sized to share. :)

If you are in Uptown OKC you have to try Cheevers, even if it’s just to belly up to the bar for a drink. Excellent service, friendly staff, the bartender knows almost every cocktail and can make it to perfection. You’ll probably need to reserve this place gets busy. Good food, good drinks, fair prices, and a nice atmosphere. Not a single negative to say about this place.

I came here with a friend yesterday for lunch. I made reservations via open table and it’s a good thing I did it was packed in here at 1:15! The parking lot is small but if you look on the other side of the street there are plenty more parking space! I had an suv so even though there was a little curb to go over it was fine for me. My friend had a little compact car so she had to go around and go through the little entrance. The establishment is located At Hudson and 23rd street and it can easily be driven past because there is no stop sign or lights so don’t miss it. Doing a u turn in this area is hard!!! Both my friend and I got the turkey club sandwich. It comes with a side and I paid a little bit extra for a Cobb salad. To start we got bread and it was some herbed bread and it came hot with soft butter and it looks like Himalayan salt on top.(Best bread I’ve tasted in a long time) then our order came. Friend got the turkey club with potato chip and her potato chip looks like cheevers made it. She said it wasn’t as salty as other potato chip but it had a nice crisp crunch which was a great side for her sandwich. The sandwich is huge we both could have shared one! The aioli sauce is amazing I don’t know if it’s garlic infused but it added a nice flavor with the bacon and the thick real slice of turkey! I think the sandwich was at least 4 – 5 inches tall! Fresh lettuce and tomato made this sandwich one of the best I’ve tasted in the okc area! The salad had a lemon vinaigrette and it wasn’t overpowering which I thought at first it would be due to the blue cheese and the corn and the salad dressing but surprising it all came together. Now I usually do not eat bean but everything fit in this salad and my friend and I finished every bite. I definitely will come back to this restaurant for dinner and for lunch. Definitely 5⁄5!!!

I really like this place. The atmosphere is great, the drinks are awesome, and the people are really friendly. The chicken fried Oklahoma cheese was something out of this world. It was wonderfully balanced and the arugula gave a sharp bite in contrast to the fruit garnishes. The Bleu cheese crisps are very filling and just under flavour overload. It’s a lot of heavy, heavy tastes: bacon, fried potato, and Bleu cheese crumbles and sauce. You could order these instead of an entrée and walk away happy. My entrée was the Wagyu skirt steak and, sadly, it was really disappointing. The flavours on the plate were all wrong. The sweet potato taquitos ruined a great cut of meat and the recommendation of medium on the temperature is wrong: comes out tough and dry. Overall, great experience here. Would definitely come back again.

Das essen, sehr gut. Eine Tasse chicken soup. Was war das Hauptgericht noch? Jedenfalls der Lachs ganz oben. Alles super lecker.
