As a mother of four daughters I began sewing when they were small. What started out as a necessity, quickly grew into my own line of children’s clothing called «Monique Children’s Clothing». The business grew and I was able to stay home with my children as well. By the time I became pregnant with our fourth daughter, I decided to shut my business down in order to focus on her until she started school.

When I started my business back up it shifted into interiors and draperies. In 1998 I did my first show home in «The Rivendell Street of Dreams» and I’ve been trying to catch my breath ever since.

On June 16, 2014 I opened a small storefront at 8013 S. Western Ave. We carry Bella Rose bedding, fabrics, lining, pillow inserts, decorative trims and home accessories.

Necessity if the mother of invention as the old saying goes. In the case of Debbie Westman necessity led this mother of four daughters down the pathe to a successful interior design business. «With four girls, I had to learn to sew» laughs Westman. She had a knack for it as it tuned out, and other parents were quick to enlist her tailoring talents for various projects.
