Great place to enjoy a unique twist on food but not too different. I had the fried chicken with honey biscuits, everyone else had the Mac Cheese Burger which was a huge hit. The Tequila Sunrise fries were great. Great liquor drinks made to perfection. Prices were good, not overpriced. I would recommend it.

Connor is the best server and has the best hair here. Request him. The brunch is delicious and Connor looks great in shorts. Check out those calves. Seriously. The food is great. And a good beer selection. Upstairs patio is nice when it’s not 1000° outside. Lots of phish stuff.

Oh thank goodness. I hate it when we meet friends somewhere and then it’s just okay, because you don’t want to rate a place as mediocre and feel like you’re indirectly insulting said friends. So a sufficient number of folks have now reviewed Guyutes that I can move forward with a clear conscience and some measure of anonymity. And Guyutes is indeed just okay. What saves Guyutes is the disco biscuit. It’s really freaking good. Both it and Oak & Ore have realized the benefit of dressing up what is essentially a Chick-Fil-A chicken mini, increasing the size of the portion, and serving it for way more money. I could be grumpy about that, or I could just be happy that it tastes good.* The other food is unremarkable, the cocktails are mediocre, and as other reviewers have noted, there is no hope of consistent service from one visit to the next. It’s loud, it’s crowded, it’s … well, . For the record, it’s not even close to that bad, it’s just the thought I associate with the place. Acceptable if I need some chicken and Bobo’s isn’t open yet. * I look at it this way: It’s a lot like Chick-Fil-A, but at least I don’t have to wash down this particular chicken sandwich with a side order of social extremism.

I’ve been to Guyutes 4 times now and think it’s just a pretty decent restaurant. The food isn’t terrible, but I can’t sit here and admit that I’d recommend any of their dishes to anyone, other than their waffle fries, which are pretty tasty. The drinks aren’t bad, but once again… there isn’t a drink that I would just have to recommend to anyone. The service has been among the most hit or miss of any place I’ve been to in OKC. It’s never been great and a couple of times it was just down right atrocious. With that being said, it’s a little better during non-peak times. The rooftop is really neat and is among the better rooftops to drink at in OKC. If you’re just looking for a place to tip back a few drinks, Guyutes is a decent place, but I wouldn’t look for anything more than that.

I know people love this place, and I think that’s awesome. Maybe I have been at weird times, or when things were a bit off, but so far I haven’t had more than a three-star experience. I know it can be hard to take care of a big group, but the first time I came I was in a party of about ten people, and I felt like we all had to work pretty hard to get service. It was busy, but not packed, and knowing how busy this place can get, I was surprised they didn’t have a better system for dealing with busy. I ordered the Traffic Light after flagging someone down. When it came out, I wasn’t impressed with either the quality or the quantity. I was planning on ordering something else, but it took me so long to get my order in, I finally decided to head home. Since I was server for several years, I feel like I’m always very nice, even when I’m frustrated with the service. I got a lot of attitude for asking(nicely, I think) for some pretty normal(again, I think) service. The second time I went, it was just to meet some friends for drinks. I ended up only getting a beer since it had taken so long to get a cocktail during my last visit. It was fine, but the crowd was a bit much for me, which is just a personal thing and doesn’t factor into my three star review. I’m sure I’ll be back because it’s a popular place where friends like to meet, but I probably won’t be the one to suggest it.

Second time here for lunch. Service this time was terrible. They told me they were short staffed in the kitchen, but it looks like they were short on servers as well. My husband and I sat on the rooftop, which was a cool little area. I’m sure it’s a great place for late night drinks during the summertime. We tried to order the«Catphish Wontons» as an appetizer, but after waiting about 15 – 20 minutes, we were told they were out of the wontons. So here’s what we did have — THEGUYUTE: Braised Pork Belly topped with Chipotle Honey Glaze and nished with Garlic Basil Whipped Cream; typically served with Holla«Colla» Greens(which I replaced with the ‘okra-homa’) and Yukon Gold whipped potatoes THERETURNOFTHEMAC: Green Chile Mac ‘n Cheese between two Beef Patties topped with Arugula, Tomato Concasse, Shallots and spicy Mayo on a locally made Bun So let’s start with the Guyute — the wonton chip with the garlic basil whipped cream on top was completely flavorless. There was no taste to it and was like eating watered down cream. Lack of flavor was the same with the okra-homa and the potatoes. It may have been fine if they just added some salt. The pork belly was okay. There was some flavor to it, but not enough to balance out the rest of the flavorless dish. The Return of the Mac — actually no complaints here. Overall a pretty good dish with lots of flavor. I had a Groupon, so I wasn’t too sad about coming here, but I’ve read a few of the recent Unilocal reviews with some of the same issues with service and food, so I will not be coming back anytime soon. Hope this restaurant doesn’t go too much further downhill because they have a good concept with great location. Crossing my fingers for this restaurant’s future.

I’ve been told that this place has been deemed a «stoner» restaurant with the food choices and music and all… and with today’s lack of service and absentminded staff, I guess they’ve earned their reputation. This place is chill on a Friday night if you want a place to hang outside with a few drinks. But DON’T come here on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. We walked in and waited for a host to greet us. We waited in vain. There were even waitresses that passed by and didn’t say anything. I finally went over and asked the bartender if we could just wherever. So we grabbed our own menus and sat down. The brunch menu looked pretty good although the food seemed like hangover food. For example, almost everything came with a fried egg on it. As I looked around the room at all the Phish posters it all kind of came together. The music(Phish) was way loud(I’m only 28 and it was too loud for me). I guess the bartender decided to be our waiter because he brought us some waters and talked to us about the menu. Cool. A few minutes later we were ready to order and we kept waiting, and wanting, and waiting. No one came. Not even the bartender. So we left. Not cool. Won’t be going back, even for drinks.

Hubs and I so enjoyed a few hours of Saturday evening patio time and a few drinks here! Really diverse drink selection with decent prices. The service is awesome and adds to the really chill vibe. We followed John’s advice and got the Sunfryz and Disco Biscuit. the fries get an A++. Such a good combo of flavors. The Disco Biscuit was yummy, but I felt like both the chicken and biscuit were slightly burnt. Aside from that, no complaints at all! Loved this trendy little hipster rooftop place.

This is barely a three star review because of the service. We had to flag down our waiter each time we wanted something. At one point, another employee walked by, made eye contact, and ignored our waive. When our server delivered the check he said that we seemed like we were in a hurry and asked if we were going somewhere to watch the game. Yes.(And it would have been nice if you would have given us better service if that was immediately apparent to you) The side dishes were the stars. The grilled okra was perfect. I ate every piece. My boyfriend loved the waffle fries. Very crispy and delicious. The disco chicken biscuit wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. If I come here again, I would order the honey butter sauce on the side. The biscuit soaked up all of the sauce and began to disintegrate. The chicken was good, but the sauce was over powering. Also, you can copy and paste into this review the other Unilocaler’s description of the dark interior and the cool, trendy patio. I may come back for the waffle fries and drinks on the patio but probably not for dinner.

I’ve written about this place twice already and both reviews I decided to edit/delete. I have no delusions that my opinion is about as important as a traffic jam in a city you don’t live in but I’m going to give it anyways. :The Food: My favorites are the Disco Biscuit and Tequila Sunfryz. When I stick to these two, my life is good. I’ve eaten half of the menu and while everything is tasty, I stick to my favorites. :The Place: It’s a Phish bar and they play it loud. Don’t go there thinking you’re going to have an intimate conversation; get loud and be raucous. Have fun. They now have a pool table which, for me, pushed it beyond the«restaurant with a great bar» and in to the«bar with really good food» category. :The Service: No complaints at all. Truly, a group of weirdos and I like that a lot. Shout out to Katie behind the rooftop/patio/balcony bar but really, everyone there is easy going and attentive. But don’t take my word for it, try it yourself!

This place is just a really great spot to chill! Solid concept! Great menu and great beer selection! I’m not a fan of stoner music but this situation kind of makes me want to get stoned and blast ween while eating my favorite meal here.(The Guyute). I’m forgetting something… Oh yeah they a have a large and amazing rooftop patio with full bar. Good job guys!

This is a 3.75 star review, but not quite 4 due to a few issues. I had lunch with a buddy at Guyutes on a Thursday around noon. There were only a few tables seated, maybe 4, and another 1 or 2 came in while we were eating. So, not busy at all. It is pretty dark in there, I saw one guy use a cell phone as a light to order. We should have dined on the famous rooftop patio I suppose since it was during the day. Guyutes has a cool vibe with concert posters and music stuff kind of all over the place. Our table top was a picture of Kurt Cobain, for instance. Service was spotty throughout the lunch. Like I said, it wasn’t crowded, but our server would disappear for awhile. It was like he was doing another job somewhere, maybe getting ready for the dinner, I don’t know. And, the kitchen wasn’t helping apparently. We ordered the catphish wontons to start. No issue getting them, they came in the appropriate amount of time. I also ordered the disco biscuit and a side of creamed corn for my lunch. Well, after approximately 15 minutes, our server came back. He then told me the kitchen had just told him they were out of creamed corn. I thought this was something that should have been said as soon as he put the order in, rather than when our food should be arriving. He recommended an alternative side, the okra. I went with that, but I think he recommended it because it was the quickest to prepare of all the side dishes. It also took a few minutes to get our check, which was a little annoying since it was lunchtime on a weekday, and we needed to get back to work. The catphish wontons were a disappointment. The chili sauce on the side is great, very flavorful with a little heat. But, the wonton filling had very little catfish. I mostly got cream cheese, with a couple of small pieces. Overall, it tasted like a cream cheese wonton with the spicy oil. That in and of itself is good, but I didn’t get any catfish flavor, which I wanted. When the food arrived, it was hot, so it didn’t appear as though it had been sitting on a counter waiting to be picked up. The chicken breast on the disco biscuit was large with a crunchy breading. But, it was overfried. The breading was too dark, and had a slight acrid taste in a few spots. It’s a large enough piece of chicken, and had it been fried a shorter period, I can see it being very good. It did need salt, the breading wasn’t seasoned sufficiently. The biscuit was fantastic. It’s very large, and thick, but wasn’t overly so. It’s described as a cheddar biscuit in the menu, but I didn’t get any cheddar flavor. That may be because the chicken and spicy honey butter overpowered it. But, it was a great biscuit, slightly crispy on the exterior, fluffy interior, and it soaked up the honey butter very well. That honey butter is legit. I wouldn’t call it spicy, but it was certainly very good. I would do just the biscuit and honey butter as a side dish on a return visit. The okra was very strong. It was grilled enough, but not overly so. I am guessing that’s because they had to hurry and get it out to us after our wait. The lemon pepper aioli was a nice dipping sauce as well. I was disappointed not to get the creamed corn, but this okra was a great dish and a re-order. I will definitely return, but I didn’t have the experience I’ve heard others describe. I want to try one of the wraps, my buddy got one and it looked great. Also, I need to try those ridiculous waffle fries, there are a bunch of pictures on Unilocal and they look fantastic. So, I’ll definitely be back, and hopefully I can update this review to 4 stars shortly thereafter…

Guyute’s is my favorite bar and restaurant in all of OKC. I’m not sure if I love it because it’s walking distance from my house and not much else is or if it is for their food-I guess it’s a little bit of both. What is amazing about Guyute’s is that as you would expect from a bar, it has good drinks and beers. What you wouldn’t expect as much is an amazing rooftop that is the perfect spot for a Sunday Funday brunch or the fact that the food they serve would be so good and have so many vegetarian and vegan options. As a health-conscious person I find most bars in Oklahoma offer limited options-the typical bar food. It’s just so nice here that I can have a vegan vegetable wrap. Of course if you want something heavier, they have that too. The Tequila Sunfriz are amazing!

2 stars because I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was friendly but that is where the positives end. I ordered the macaroni burger(the menu is not the easiest to read by any means) and its macaroni sandwiched with two pieces of meat(I got 1 peice of meat split into half and I dont mean top and bottom nor was the macaroni inbetween them.) The bottom bun was so soggy a knife and fork was my ONLY option to eat this and have it stay remotely together. Being a seasoned burger eater I even tried turning it upside down with no luck. Disappointed with that and having used only half of the Groupon I ordered the cranberry chicken pizza and waffle fries. Close to 30 minutes and 3 glasses of water later(the guy was attentive to that) my food finally comes and apparently the over got flipped off so they had to reheat it? I dont know but it was to go and thats what I was doing. Once I get to the car Im met with what seems to be pita bread with barely warm cheese on it. I didnt fully read the menu so I dont know if it is suppose to have no brown on the bottom or and crisp so I cant comment further on that. Wgat I can say is the lettuce? Spinach? Wilted whatever that was mostly stems was unappealing to the eye and taste buds. Plus the already confusing menu online doesnt seem to explain what the items are and the downloaded pdf wont open. The waffle fries were the best part and they were fairly warm but not uniform so the larger pieces were very plain baked potato like. Maybe they are a great bar as the seems to be the focus or maybe everything tastes better after several drinks but I cant say I’ll be trying it a 2nd time.

Who doesn’t love a place where everyone says the name differently? Guy-u-teez is how I’ve been taught to pronounce this gem in Uptown. If I were more hip, I suppose I’d already know that, but hey, I can only know so much. Guyutes has a great variety on their menu. The Peace in the Middle East wrap is delightful, and the Gimme the Beat hummus is delicious in the wrap as well as with the sweet potato chips. The Tequila Sunfryz are perfect as an appetizer for a group, although I won’t judge if you eat it all yourself. They’re that good. On the healthier side, the St. Stephen salad is one of my favorites and it happens to be vegan. There are several vegetarian and vegan options which is always nice to see. Besides the great food, the rooftop patio is really what makes Guyutes special. I only wish it faced the south to see the downtown«skyline,» but it’s still lovely. They have table service and a full bar up there. You can tell that the kitchen truly wants to put out a good product, and they do not disappoint. I feel confident in saying that you will enjoy most everything on the menu.

Guyutes has definitely become one of my favorite bars in OKC. It’s super chill, their rooftop is AMAZING(especially since nice weather is finally here), their drinks are great and so is their food. Their food is super unique, you really can’t find anything like it anywhere else. It’s definitely one of my favorite places in the city now, and it’s so unique, so it’s fun to bring newbies.

I finally made it to Guyutes and I am glad I did! I’m trying a new game with friends when we get together and we choose places to go based off where none of us have been before. We landed on Guyutes and met at 8:00. While the parking lot was a bit confusing as it is hidden in the back, there were ample spaces available. At first I thought this to be a bad sign, but the bar/restaurant was full! We went upstairs and waited for less than ten minutes for a table to clear and grabbed it. Beforehand, we grabbed drinks from the bar. I had a Green Initiative and she had a Fire on the Pineapple. Both were great, but hers was especially delicious! It had the perfect kick to spice up the night! Our appetizers were the Beet Hummus with Sweet Potato Chips and Waffle Fries. I typically am not a hummus fan, but this was incredible!!! I highly recommend everyone getting this to start your night at Guyutes. We got the bottom of the chips so we had lots of small pieces, but we also dipped our fries in the hummus! The waffle fries tasted like Arby’s curly fries… that’s a good thing. Our entrees were fantastic as well. I ordered the burger with macaroni on it and she had a pizza. I wish I could remember the name. The names of the items are all tantalizing so any way you go should be just as great. The ambience was effect for an April evening being on the rooftop terrace. The people were from all walks of life. I had read the reviews prior and so I dressed in my white joggers with a tank top and two-tone vans. She ended up wearing white pants as well. We also saw/spoke to 5 others wearing white pants! It must have been white pants day in OKC! From yuppies to hipsters, my first, and definitely not last, visit to Guyutes was a success!

Food: 3⁄5 Service: 4⁄5 Cleanliness: 4⁄5 Décor & Style: 3⁄5 The Wide Spread Panic Pizza(meatloaf, salami, bacon, gruyère, marinara, and mozzarella) was tasty, however the crust was chewy. I am not a big fan of chewy so I didn’t enjoy it as much as it should’ve been. The Guyute(pork belly) was fancy in appearance however was pretty bland. Having to add plenty of salt and pepper to the dish is not ideal. The drink menu is great and large(plenty of choices to try from). This is a great place for late night socializing but I don’t think it’s a great place for good food during the lunch hour. I like the idea of the rooftop bar but it is slightly small. The view in this area is not ideal as well and the inside Décor is pretty bland right now.

**** my how times have changed– 3/19/16*** last two trips here have been less than stellar. Today, at 1:30pm was greeted by a hostess with a major attitude who became irritated we asked to sit somewhere other than where she wanted to seat us… then we learn part of the menu isn’t even available– I get that for a Sunday brunch, but not Saturday. Maybe the hipster cool works for the beer drinking demographic, but don’t sacrifice service and effort for that perception– lots of other great places I can go… Seriously, some of the best food I’ve ever had. Yes, it’s a bar, but this isn’t bar food. It’s truly gourmet food, a la Ludivine. So happy we have places and people like the owners/chef in OKC doing this type of work. Do yourself a favor– come eat here. I’ve sampled 8+ dishes and everything has been outstanding. 5STARS.

I’ve been wanting to try this new restaurant– I had heard such great things about it. I finally went last Saturday night, and it totally confirmed every good thing I have heard about it. Great food. Good drinks. And I love the atmosphere. Although I will comment, it was a louder at night… I’m not sure how it is throughout the day(just a heads up) I ordered«The Pip» which was the Cheeto crusted Chicken wrap. It. Was. Delicious. The ingredients were so fresh, and everything blended together really well. The presentation was also very appealing. I find myself craving it again as I’m writing this review, ha! I felt like they had a pretty solid drink menu. They had a great selection of beers– IPAs, Lagers, Ambers and more. They also had a fairly good wine list which is nice. I think they had a few drink specials too. I can’t comment on the rooftop, because unfortunately we didn’t go up there. But the overall atmosphere downstairs was really neat. This is a place I will recommend to anybody interested in trying something new. The menu is different enough to intrigue you, but not scary enough to turn you away – «elevated street food» is pretty spot on. They’ve done a really good job and I can’t wait to go back.
