Rafael Lovato Jr. is America’s most accomplished BJJ competitor in history! He is the 2nd non-​Brazilian after former UFC Champion, BJ Penn to win the BJJ World Championships as a Black Belt! He is also the only non-​Brazilian to win the No-​Gi World Championships as a Black Belt in two different weight categories and the first non-​Brazilian to win the Brazilian Nationals as a Black Belt!

As an instructor Rafael has produced many Champions and he was the first American to ever produce a No-​Gi World Champion at the Black Belt level in his first Black Belt, Justin Rader. Rafael has taught and competed all over the world and he generously shares his knowledge that he has spent his life perfecting.

I think Lovato’s is one of the best places I’ve ever trained! School and work have led me to UCD BJJ, Cassio Werneck’s, UCD Judo and Gracie Fighter, and although all those places were great, Lovato’s is special. I say that because it mixes a chill atmosphere with very technical training in a Clean Environment. Very professional, never had issues with billing and there is a good mix of first timers and black belts. Instruction is good, lots of options for classes. If you are looking for a place to start or a place to continue, I highly recommend Lovato’s BJJ.

I have been Training at Lovato’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2010. I drive from Tulsa Oklahoma 91 miles away to train with some of the best Jiu Jitsu artist in the world. The mats are filled every night with high level ranked opponents under world champion black belts that are there teaching the class day in, day out. If your looking to join a academy in the OKC area or drive like me, this is your new home for success. OSS

I’ve been training here since 2007 and it’s made a huge impact on my life. I came to Lovato’s off of the recommendation of my brother’s jiu jitsu coach in Japan! It amazed me that we would have a world famous jiu jitsu school in Oklahoma, plus it was just down the street from my home, so I checked it out. I thought I was pretty tough, having wrestled for a few years, but training here was a reality check. The great thing is that while Lovato’s is full of really tough guys, they’re all great training partners and great teachers. If you want to know about the level of these guys, just google Rafael Lovato Jr. (head instructor) and you’ll see how accomplished he is, along with his competition team. If you’re interested in learning jiu jitsu, boxing, muay thai, wrestling, and/​or MMA, you need to check out Lovato’s.

Both the students and the coaching staff are super friendly. There is plenty of space to work out in and cleanliness is always a priority. Not to mention, the quality of teaching is world-​class… literally.
Whether you’re looking to compete or simply improve your health and self confidence, Lovato’s School of BJJ is a great option.
P.S — If you’re worried about the deep v neck, youth small– sized Affliction shirt wearing types, I have yet to find any here.

Lovatos school of jiu jitsu is a great place to train. It is well organized, very professional, and CLEAN. The instruction you will recive there is the best around and you will not be disapointed. Everyone there is very friendly and willing to help the group succeed as a whole. My expirence at Lovatos has always been excellent.

so the new facility is big, has an octagon cage, has bjj and mma classes. this is one of the premier competition teams. they train like maniacs. i recommend it for people looking to get into jiu jitsu, or want to compete and win gold.
the lovatos are some of the most gracious jiu jitsu guys around and great to talk to and welcome you to the sport if you are new, or make you into a champion if you already know your stuff. they have lots of classes and lots of tough guys to train with.
definitely check this place out. they are getting their showers and their heater up and functional so soon this will be the best gym in the tri-​state area!
