History

Established in 1997.

The Lynn Institutes developed through a partnership with the Integris Baptist Medical Center Research Department in Oklahoma City. It was established by then-​Vice President of Medical Affairs and Lynn Institute namesake, Thomas Lynn, MD, and Research Department Director, William C. Orr, Ph.D. in 1989. After nearly a decade, the Lynn Institute separated from Integris Baptist Medical Center and was established as an independent, non-​profit entity (The Lynn Institute for Healthcare Research, Inc.).
