People seem to be pretty polarized about Mardel(not on Unilocal so far, I mean IRL). Either they love it, or they hate it. Usually, their political leanings has some influence on these feelings. I like it for the most part, although there are some issues that I have with the store. 1. Everything is a little(or a lot) overpriced. Granted, you can’t find some of the stuff at other stores, but if the stuff(books, music, educational supplies, etc.) that you’re looking for can be found elsewhere, it will almost certainly be cheaper than what you would pay at Mardel. 2. Jesus junk. There is a lot of absolutely unnecessary crap being sold in here. But that is to be expected when capitalism and faith try to come together. So sure, if you really want it, there are bracelets, t-shirts, and other trivial nonsense that will make you feel warm and fuzzy in conveying to everyone around you that you are a Christian. On a related note, if you’re going to put Jesus related paraphernalia(bumper stickers, shiny fishes, etc.) on your vehicle, maybe try not to drive like an inconsiderate donkey? But detractions aside, I like it for the convenience, and the friendly customer service. If you take those aspects out, this place would be a 2– or 3-star business. But the people working there are unbelievably helpful, often going well beyond their duties to get you what you need.

Thank God for Mardel’s as they have a large supply of educational material for inside and outside the classroom. I just would like to see more secondary math material available rather than for just Pre-Algebra & Algebra as I was looking for more Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus & Calculus for the classroom when it comes to posters.

I have been to Mardels several times in my life time and it has most always been a good experience. This time was no exception. I was looking for a couple books for a class I am taking at church. The gentleman working there ask me if I needed any help while I was just browsing around. I said yes and told him what I needed. He had no trouble finding most of it. The part he did not have in stock he turned right around and ordered. It should be in sometime next week. Check out got a little backed up while I was in line but as soon as the line got long the opened not only one more register but two. This is a great place for most of your Christian shopping needs.
