North May Donuts & Kolaches

Just another Asian donut joint. Decent donuts that you can get in hundreds of shops Anytown, USA. The owner is rude and short in attitude. Got aggrevated @ me because I didn’t see anything special and just a ordered a plain donut. She just dropped my change on the counter and walked away without a word.

WARNING!!! You will be cheated when purchasing from this donut shop. I had my brother run in and buy kolaches. He bought 6 jalapeño, sausage, cheese kolaches and 2 sausage and cheese croissants. He was charged by the woman at the counter, probably the owner, $ 19.42. You can see from the picture of prices on google maps it should have cost him 13.40 plus tax, which is dollar something. So he, actually me because it was my card, was overcharged around $ 5. Even if the prices changed slightly from what is posted online, it shouldn’t be that much of a difference. Please don’t waste your money at this donut shop. The kolaches are not that good and you probably will be over charged. There’s a way better donut shop, daily donut, just a mile down the road with great prices and way better product.

It is an average donut shop that will satisfy your donut craving. I got the sausage, cheese, and jalapeño kolache. The sausages were hot dog links and the cheese was american cheese. I felt like i was eating a hotdog for breakfast. I also got donut holes which were the standard sugary fried ball of dough.

Wow, what a terrible donut shop. The lady at the counter is very crass and dismissive, the food is sub par at best, and their assortment is weak. My first job was at a small local donut shop so I have sworn off the big chains. I would rather get 7 – 11 donuts than give this place my money ever again.

I generally hit this place every Friday morning to buy kolaches for my employees. The kolaches don’t hold a candle to the ones I used to get at Kolache Kitchen but they went out of business so, this is my new kolache joint. The service is good, the prices are okay and the kolaches aren’t bad. The place isn’t real neat and clean so I would avoid it if you’re the type that likes everything to look bright, shiny and clean. The service is good but not exceptionally friendly. If you go, try the sausage, cheese and jalapeño kolache, it’s the best!

I go here several times a week! They are always busy, but quick and friendly. Donuts are the best in OKC and Kolaches are good. Even if they aren’t technically kolaches, the bread on them is soft and fluffy and they taste amazing. My only issue is the place looks old and could be updated. But my rating is all about the food so it gets 5 stars.

We have had great quick AM snacks for sometime.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for quite some time and finally decided to take my daughter before work the other day. The donuts were fresh and the egg and cheese kolache was delicious! Breakfast for my daughter and me was less than $ 4 and the service was super quick so this is definitely a great place to go even if you’re in a hurry. We will definitely be returning soon!

I was on the hunt for Kolaches in Oklahoma City during a recent trip, and since it seemed that another shop that actually specialized in Kolaches was closed for good — it made sense to head here just for grins.
I can admit that I was wrong on that one!
For one, the food in the store’s name that they offer is actually closer to a Klobasnek, rather than a Kolache. Theirs are stuffed with Bacon/​Egg/​Cheese and other offerings, rather than the Kolaches which are topped with a fruit or other filling. That’s fine. A lot of places don’t actually differentiate so ultimately, it’s no biggie.
The donuts overall aren’t anything special. Aside from a well prepared apple fritter, nothing that you can’t find at any other donut shop anywhere else…
The problem I had with this particular place was the customer service.
It was ten minutes before noon when my girlfriend and I visited. The woman working the counter seemed bright at first, but rushed us into ordering after a few moments. Apparently she took the noon closing time literally. We both ordered a few donuts and sat down and enjoy them, but not ten seconds later, we were both yapped (She didn’t sound like she was yelling per se, yapping best describes the sound) at to leave. She was starting to close the blinds on us and said that «everything had already been cleaned» although the donuts were still in the case and rushed us out.
Basically, if you like donuts that you can get at any given shop in town and being hurried along during the ordering and eating process, this place is for you. If not, then you might be better off elsewhere.
