This is one of two state parks in the Okmulgee area. My wife and I camped here for one night in October, and although it was very busy(there was a large geocaching event being held there that weekend), we had a great time. We were afraid that it would be too crowded, but there were still several spots with sufficient privacy. There are scores of campgrounds(some of them right on the waterfront), lots of RV hook-ups, a playground for kids, and boating and swimming access to the lake. Although hiking is somewhat limited(there are just a few miles of trails), the scenery is beautiful, and the sunset on the water was idyllic. Very convenient as a getaway if you live in the Tulsa area; I’m sure we’ll camp here again!
