Crave Frozen Yogurt

The frozen yogurt is fine. I come here when I have cravings for froyo once in awhile. But I’m generally displeased with the employees here. I’ve been there numerous times since they have opened and everyone behind the counter is unfriendly and quiet. Maybe customers would come around more if you hired friendly, outgoing people.

Bland bland bland. Because it’s frozen yogurt doesn’t mean you put a premium on it. Not a fan of weighted ice cream/​yogurt places especially when they do even zero out the cup. I got the smallest cup, didn’t even fill it to the top and it cost me over $ 9. If I wanted to but $ 9 worth of ice cream or yogurt I’d but two quarts of it in the supermarket and but my own toppings.

My first impressions when walking into this place for the first time was questionable because there was no one in here except for the owner and security guard getting something to eat. When I tried the flavors, it was great. I always tend to to navigate back to the original tart frozen yogurt just because I love the slight tartness to it. One thing that sets this place apart from other frozen yogurt places is that this establishment is so clean and immaculately spotless. All the machines are clean and the toppings bar did not have any mess and was also very clean and tidy. That puts comfort knowing that this place puts importance on cleanliness. Now onto the frozen yogurt. It was delicious and the original tart tasted like a delicious vanilla yogurt. I even had a little of the Nutella and it did taste like Nutella but my favorite is the original tart. The fresh fruit tastes very fresh like it was just bought from the supermarket. Even the bathroom was super clean. All in all a great experience and I would come back again. If you want to go to a great frozen yogurt place definitely check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

I want to preface this review by mentioning that I have visited Crave and in the past I experienced mainly reasonable prices and much variety.
I stopped by Crave the other day, and was incredibly disappointed at virtually everything about the experience. But, come to think of it, my terrible experience actually began a few weeks earlier; the manager seems to close the business randomly and without any notice on social media. The lack of firm business hours makes it nearly impossible to confidently drive there with the expectation of getting yogurt. This sporadic schedule is also not posted on the doors of the establishment.
It appears the prices have skyrocketed recently, and one has to wonder if this is due to the aforementioned random closures. I visited recently with my girlfriend, and we each got a 12 oz cup of yogurt (the smallest size available) filled about ²⁄₃ of the way if that, with moderate toppings as you would expect at such a yogurt place. There were about 8 flavors from which to choose, but this pales in comparison to the variety that had been offered in months past, especially in regards to their non dairy selection. When going to the register, my order came to be nearly $ 20… again, for only two small yogurts with moderate toppings. Upon sitting down to eat, my girlfriend and I noticed how chunky the yogurt was, and it nearly mirrored the blocks of ice that could be found on the sidewalk outside. To add insult to injury, I noticed that the gummy bears I added as a topping were incredibly stale.
We threw our yogurts in the trash and went to a competitor a few miles away. It’s a shame that something as seemingly simple as a frozen yogurt place could take such a turn for the worst. After my recent experience, I will not be returning.

Very fun little froyo place. Staff is super friendly.
I tried the pumpkin, pistachio, and vanilla and it was a great combo. The yogurt is very thick and creamy like soft serve.
There’s a discount for those who have gym memberships which is cool.
The seating is a bit different, the chairs do not seem very sturdy.
They have one TV with MTV music videos on, but because the store itself has music, you’re watching videos for music you aren’t hearing. It was a little weird but no big deal really.

Crave? I think NOT !!! To be fair, their flavors are good and the topping selection is always fresh, HOWEVER that’s the only reason the place is getting two stars as opposed to one. I’ve been coming here since the place first opened up and never had so much rude and pompous attitude thrown my way as it has been in the last few weeks. After getting seriously overcharged a week ago we inquired about the price (that was close to double of what we usually pay). At that time we were told that the prices have increased … ok, that happens, we understand. However, just two days later, the prices seemed to have returned to normal. Went back yesterday, the prices were still normal, however today we got overcharged, AGAIN. This time around we were told that apparently there is a purchase minimum. I guess sometimes it becomes hard to keep the story straight. All my years coming to this establishment (or any other sort of food /​salad /​ice cream bar) and I NEVER heard of purchase minimums. If I want 2 oz of yogurt then that’s all I want, that’s all I will get and that’s all I will pay for. Otherwise please put up a big poster advising your customers that they must satisfy your minimum yogurt requirement and please let us know exactly how much yogurt we must stuff in ourselves to avoid getting ripped off. To those of you who care about your taste buds, want some great and different flavors and have enough self-​respect to avoid being deceived and blatantly lied to — get yourselves over to Yogurtland just few blocks down (Hobby Lobby plaza, next to Moe’s). The flavors there are amazing, you get as much yogurt as you please and the customer service has always been pleasant.

Very clean, great atmosphere, tons of flavors and just a great place to get together with friends … You can even watch sports while you enjoy your froyo!

The only thing I notice (as a regular patron) is lack of «diversity» in employees.

Definitely great in comparison with other self-​serve, pay by weight frozen yogurt places. Probably 4.5 stars overall.
They have a great selection of flavors. Sample cups are available so that you can try and make sure you like them before you select something. I really liked the salted caramel pretzel. One of my favorite fro-​yo flavors I have found anywhere. The reason for 4 stars is their chocolate and their fudge brownie flavors were only okay. Both almost seemed like they had coffee in them (I had one; my friend had the other) and were not very chocolatey. Other than this, they have lots of different (and interesting) flavors and the quality of the flavors is really good too.
The selection of toppings is by far the best I have seen. So many toppings and none of them were running out. The fruit seemed really fresh, they had some unique toppings I haven’t seen at other places (for example, dark chocolate raspberry cups and those 3 layer pink/​green/​yellow cookies). Also many different sauces to top your frozen yogurt with if so inclined.
The price is fairly comparable with other yogurt places. It is maybe SLIGHTLY higher but the quality of both the yogurt and the toppings make this negligible. Definitely a great value for what you are getting. I enjoyed everything and would no doubt go to Crave in the future. Oh, and the shop itself is really nice, comfortable seating, and even free wi-​fi.

Great fro yo but sometimes they run out of blueberries, fruity pebbles, and other common toppings.

They let you try as many flavors as you like. The flavors are all delicious, however, they don’t change them too often. They have a huge variety of toppings and i can never manage to get only one or two… my cup becomes half fro yo, and half toppings. They even have nutella, which is the best topping on ANY fro yo flavor.
Fun place to go to grab some dessert.

this place has 16 flavors and 24 including the mixes. its my newest favorite frozen yogurt place at the moment that is close to home. CRAVE IS A PLACE WHERE YOU WILL CRAVE THERE FRO-​YO. plus there place is nicely decorated and children friendly.

I’ve been on a major froyo kick for the past month with my fiancé and so Crave was our latest place to try. Right now my favorite froyo place in Monmouth County is Let’s Yo in Colts Neck, but I think Crave is my very close second favorite. What I like more about Crave is that they actually have Cake Batter (as my fiancé says, how can you NOT have this flavor at a froyo place?!), and that the seating area is more spread out.
Like most froyo places, this has a large assortment of toppings, both healthy and not so healthy, so it’s up to you to decide how healthy you want to keep your froyo. My favorite flavor is cookies and cream, and I usually top it off with chocolate chips, some crushed oreos, and a little chocolate syrup.
When we came here there was a lot of mothers with their young kids, and I’m not sure if they knew the manager or not but they talked to them and the manager changed the TV’s to put kids cartoons on, which is a nice touch for customer service. When we first walked in, they had sports games on.
There’s a lot of choices for froyo these days, as this seems to be the latest business craze now that cupcake places are starting to die down. So Crave is going to continue to have a lot of competition in the area but as far as I’m concerned this place is excellent, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Free wifi is real nice too while you hang out.

And so the expansion of FroYo from cities into suburbia continues with an another excellent addition!
Not to long ago, another place called Wicked Twist opened up not to far from Crave, and (as you can see in my review of Wicked Twist) it was a great new place. My friends and family back home in this area were immediately hooked to Wicked Twist, further cementing the fact that self-​serve frozen yogur (FroYo) is the new great thing in dessert and will probably soon beat out ice cream!
Anyhow, back to Crave. Initially walking in, I already had a feeling that this place would be good. They seemed to grasp the idea behind self-​serve FroYo; have lots of flavors, plenty of toppings, and a cool/​slick seating area.
The array of flavors here is great, plenty to choose from, and all the ones I tasted were really good. One cool thing I’ve never seen before which I have to give props to: each set of flavors are paired in 3s according what would taste good! For example, for one set they had chocolate to the left, peanut butter to right, and in the middle, a mix of the 2 making a peanut butter cup! Another example, red velvet to the left, cake batter to the right, and the middle was a mix making red velvet cupcake!
Beyond this, they had plenty of great toppings, from fruit to cereal to candy, and a frequent visitor card which gives a free 10^th cup of FroYo after you’ve gotten 9. Let me put it this way; Crave is now my new favorite FroYo spot in central Jersey!
