Molder’s Fishing Preserve

Went fishing here with my 11 year old daughter, our friend Jonathan, and Jonathan’s two daughters.
An interesting pay to fish lake. What is nice is that no fishing license is required, adults pay $ 11, kids under 12 pay $ 9. I’m not sure if they gave us a break, but we paid $ 46 cash with two containers of baby night crawlers (worms).
Contrast that with the $ 22.50 per adult NJ Fishing License cost, with the $ 10.50 trout stamp.
I would bring cash. They had no change and had not opened the «cash box» as of 9am.
They have 7 small lakes on the property with 8 types of fish stocked. We mostly caught small sunfish, and the girls had great fun catching them over a 3 – 4 hour period. Great place to keep younger ones entertained. I caught a couple of small bass on small Rapala lures. Don’t expect any trophy’s here.
You can catch and release or pay to take your catch home.
Bathrooms are available, but are somewhat crude. I would suggest bringing a cooler and snacks/​lunch if you plan to make a day of it.
All in all a fun place to bring kids to fish.
