Hello, I am Sifu Wally Cornett and would like thank you for your interest in our brand new Kung Fu School. It is known as «Cornett’s Secret Art of Praying Mantis Kung Fu». With over 40 years of martial arts experience, I am excited to offer a unique study into the world of martial arts. We are located in Nashville/​Hermitage/​Mount Juliet, TN area. Our School provides students with Praying Mantis Kung Fu skills they won’t learn anywhere else because our art has been a secretive art. Our style is known as «Jook Lum Temple Chinese Boxing» is a version of Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu. Our art is one only passed down from teacher to student, without being described in manuals.

«Jook Lum Temple Chinese Boxing» techniques incorporate a philosophy of internal energy Chi development, with short power striking, and pressure point striking which is intended for self-​defense.

History

Established in 2015.

In the early 1970’s, Martial Arts Student Wally Cornett started search for the mysteries of this ancient Chinese martial arts way of life. During his quest, in 1997, Student Cornett was fortunate and found his answers when he met Sifu Chuck Gross, who is the Head Instructor of the «Tennessee Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu Association» located in Gallatin, TN. Student Cornett wisely begin his studies, with Sifu Gross, learning the secret art of the ~ Jook Lum Temple Chinese Boxing ~, which is a Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu style. On, 14 December 2014, Student Wally Cornett was promoted to the rank of Sifu. By, 1 August 2015, Sifu Cornett opened his own school, ~ Cornett’s Secret Art of Praying Mantis Kung Fu ~.

Sifu Cornett teaches a style called ~ Jook Lum Temple Chinese Boxing ~. This Southern Praying Mantis style focuses on fantastic hand techniques.
