The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! For two people, with 2 of the most expensive plates on the menu, plus an appetizer — the price was VERY reasonable. The view is unbelievable, if you eat out on the patio you’re literally eating right over the ocean. They have live music, it’s great for dancing, I really enjoyed it. I will absolutely be back here the next time I’m in the area.

It is what it is. This is a semi divey beach bar/restaurant at the very end of The Pier. It’s main draw is the view where you are basically eating over the Ocean. You will need a photo ID to get into this area of the Pier, since they only allow over 21. That said-we had my 65 year old Mother with us who didn’t bring her ID and they let her in anyway, so some exceptions will be made:) We ordered lobster rolls, one large and one small with a side of fries. The service was really slow considering we were essentially the only table that afternoon. Pricing for the rolls was pretty reasonable for a tourist spot at 13.99 and 16.99. The food was just ok. I hate that they serve water and drinks in plastic cups, but again-it’s a beach bar. My lobster roll was basically hollow on the inside. The lobster was sitting on the very top and when I bit in, all that was inside was a piece of lettuce. They might want to serve it in a smaller roll so that it is actually full. The large roll was full, so I guess you have to pay the extra $ 3 for them to care. The fries were good, but we had to flag down the waiter for water refills. Probably wouldn’t eat here again, but it’s quite a scene for people watching all those drunk Canadians in the Summer. If you look down when you pee you can see the Ocean through the cracks in the floorboards: P

Great local, horrible bartender — rude and surly. Been coming to OOB since the days of the water slide and will probably stick with big daddy’s in the future. If you are an investor and wondering why you are bleeding cash… ask the gal w the wrist brace how she treats tourists without neck tattoos…

Drinks are water there is 0 alcohol in anything you order. I hope the city shuts them down and adds a bar worthy of the end of the pier.

The pier is an awesome place to eat, drink or just hang out. It has a lot of activities and shops. Live bands almost every night. Out side the pier their is even larger choice of food, drinks and activities. Don’t forget to try the famous pier fries down from the pier. Old orchard beach has a great history and great roots established there. People from all surrounding cities and states come to visit old orchard beach even tourist from Canada are very common at old orchard beach. Their is a large carnival with rides and prizes near by walking distance. This is my third time to old orchard beach and the pier and I’ll be back next year for sure! It’s seems like my stay gets longer every time I come maybe next year I’ll stay for 3 weeks!!!

Ate here 8÷7÷15 the worst experience in my many years of eating at restaurants. The absolute worst place to eat. The rudest manager ever! The clam strips were giant rubber bands! We sent them back the waitress was very nice and asked if she could get us something else. Then the manager came over and was pissed because” the reason for sending back the food wasn’t good enough for him and was upset that the waitress was getting us something else! The worst part of him was when he said he could probably repurpose the food until my sister told him that she tried to eat one. Then he said well then I won’t be able to do that!!! Who repurposes food? Nobody! Please don’t eat there. The best part was when a couple behind us sent her clam strips back too, then the table behind them also sent their food back!!! By the way the awfully rude manager never showed his face again!

This was the worst place to eat. $ 16 for just about the worst lobster roll in Maine… Oceanside! Disgraceful tiny portfrozen lobster over a huge bed of lettuce, Steak n cheese was awful as well… and If you want to sit at a bar and pay $ 9 for a frozen drink with a splash of rum go right ahead. I was with my children eating lunch at 12, when approached by a «shot girl» lol… So sad for such a great location. Never ever again!

Great service amazing food. Best experience I’ve had yet. Came with my daughter for lunch on a Sunday and sat outside and enjoyed the sun.

I had a great seafood meal on a Pier over the ocean. It is a one of a kind place with very good food and drinks. The entertainment was great, it went all day and all night.

Only go here for the people watching, entertainment and drinks! It’s not very clean and the food has not been very good. It is located at the very end of the pier. I will say that the bouncers and other workers are very friendly. We usually bring out of town company here for drinks if a good band is playing or Yo Adrian is performing. He is a pretty raunchy comedian. Very funny.

Ate dinner here around 9. Do NOT eat here and expect it to be good. I would give zero stars if possible. This is a dive bar with the LOWEST grade food I have ever eaten! Our food was straight nasty! The menu had nothing to offer but fried food and short order items. Served in paper plates. We opted for the chicken tender app which ended up not being worth the $ 10! We have been in the food service ind. for years and could tell each item was low quality and very inexpensive. I decided to play it safe with a turkey wrap. It was the worst I’ve ever eaten which was almost impressive because I didn’t think you could mess those up. I got what I asked for, because this really lives up to its«dive bar» atmosphere. You will need to drink a rum bucket, which I DID, to deal with the camp-like atmosphere here. We had three different shot girls come during our meal to ask us to buy a Jell-O shot lol. We were shocked by how high our tab was when our food was just plain crap. I felt bad for our server since it was her first day, and she was overwhelmed but she did an awesome job. Pros: good view of the ocean and ok drinks Cons: gross food, expensive, campy We will choose somewhere else to go next time and not be recommending this location.

Wandered onto the pier for lunch on a sunny Wednesday in May, looking for anything open near the motel we’d just checked into.(most restaurants and pubs are still closed this time of year it seems, but we’d only stopped into Old Orchard Beach for a night on the way home from a road trip anyway, so no biggie. There was one family seated already at the Pier out of at least a dozen tables. It was too windy in most spots, so we took a table next to them that was next to the kareoke stage, with less of a breeze. In the actual summer, the purpose of going here is to sit in the sun on the ocean in a sort of party atmosphere. Friendly, standard service. Typical ‘boardwalk’ food/nothing special, nothing terrible. My Caesar salad was a bit too garlicky, but not bad, served on a cardboard plate. My mozza sticks seemed out of a box and probably were, but okay. My partner’s roast beef & cheddar wrap was fine, with side of potato chips. I’d go back here for drinks if ever stopped into the beach area again, and probably get a fries and onion rings if I wanted a snack, but wouldn’t go back for the food itself. I actually came down with quite a case of heart burn about an hour after leaving here, which I never get, but can’t say for sure it was the food that caused it or something else.

Don’t waste your money or time! We went on a Tues early afternoon, among other families with small children as well as just adult groups. None of the patrons were rowdy, loud, or even obnoxious but the«bouncers» were already on guard and the waters were already disgruntled! The food, if you could even consider it edible, was GROSS! Seriously, how do you mess up a turkey roll up and a box of mac n cheese?! Drinks were mediocre, at best. We sat on «the patio» seriously, how do they even get approval from the town on that? The walking space along the ends of the tables is maybe 12 inches and that«view»… delightful if you’re standing to look over the nasty painted and marred plexiglass wall. All in all, I’d like that hour of my life and $ 60 back!

It is what you’d expect. Overpriced, awful food. The haddock had a strange flavor, the fries were cold, the grilled cheese(shudder) was inedible. You really have to work at making a grilled cheese sandwich that bad. The only reasonable dish was lobster — but there have to be a dozen better places nearby. Stay away at all costs.

We sat in front of the main restaurant in the outdoor bar area because it has a nice view. We were apprehensive about the food and so ordered things that are impossible to mess up: steamed lobster and chicken wings. The lobster was perfect. Butter was tasty. Twin lobsters for $ 28 is a relatively good deal. Predictably the two sides – French fries and onion rings – were awful. However the chicken wings were good and crispy. Buffalo sauce was great. Soft drink refills are free. Most important of all they serve Coke. None of that Pepsi bullshit. Service was attentive, contrary to many reviews here. Maybe this place cleaned up its act after all the poor reviews. We’d definitely come back to eat.

Lunch on a Sunday was the goal. Zero service unless you personally walk up to the bar, in which case they instruct you to sit down for a menu… after which, no waiter/tress comes. 45 minutes of no service at all. Lunch on a Sunday turned into a single beer on the pier. A 16oz LongTrail IPA will run you 5.50 + tip. Definitely do not recommend. Why are the servers standing around and not serving?

I can’t say anything about the food because I’ve never eaten there. That being said, this is a great bar/club! I’m not sure what some of the people are talking about on here. I’ve been going here in the summer with friends for years now, and I’ve yet to see a fight. Also, the only time security gave us a hassle was when my friend was overly drunk and deserved to get kicked out. This is a great place if you’re young and you want to have some drinks and dance with someone of the opposite sex. There’s a club/dance floor upstairs, and a more chill bar downstairs that sometimes has a live band. It’s not the place for people that complain about it being loud, people being drunk. It’s just not meant for them or their demographic. It’s like going to an Indian restaurant and complaining about spicy food. Ummm yeah, of course it’s like that. It’s supposed to be. So if you’re young, and want to go out and have some fun dancing with top 40 music, and have some drinks overlooking the ocean. Definitely go out here.

The word junk comes to mind. Went yesterday, horrific food. Lobster roll was fake imitation crab or some sh-tuff… The steamers were horrible, pasty, fell apart. Wasted $ 86.00 on a family of 4, never again…

I’m not too sure I’d eat here. It’s a great place to go and have a few drinks! You are literally over the ocean at Old Orchard Beach. You meet tons of people on vacation and it’s really fun. There is always something going on there, too. Between bands or comedy. I love how you can just grab a table and just look at the ocean. We had a really fun time here. The bartenders were really nice and even gave us some good ideas for some yummy shots!
