I work in the area and have been coming to this deli weekly for at least 5 years. Their food is always fresh and tasty and all the staff are super nice people. Love this place! :)

This is the best Italian deli in Bergen County. A must visit. The owner is so friendly, hands on, so helpful. Great food.

Baviellos is absolutely my place to go to! The food is to die for and has a ton of options to choose from! It gets a little busy and I would recommend calling but nothing the deli can’t handle! The staff is great and most importantly the owner who you can tell has a love for the deli and her customers! Great deli Carol! Keep up the great work!

The best deli in the area. They make you feel so welcome every time you walk through the door. They treat you as a friend not just another person giving them money. The food is great and always fresh! No complaints.

I knew as soon as I entered this was the deli to go to. The amazing smell of freshly made chicken cutlets had my mouth watering. The menu of sandwiches is nearly overwhelming because they all sound delicious. This is a busy place so you might have a short wait. Obviously, by the take out orders leaving right and left, this deli does a great corporate lunch business, and next time I probably will call ahead. Honestly, everything here is good, the owner, Carol, is super friendly, and I was well taken care off. I will be back for sure!

Havnt written a Unilocal review in a while but this deli deserved one.
For starts I grabbed the amazon local deal, making this visit more than worth my time, and it was a good 20 min drive from my house. all for a wrap?
Satisfying and worth it, the chicken here is the best I have ever had at a deli, its different. in a very good way.
Owner is a sweet hard working woman and has plenty of business and loyal customers coming through.
Plenty of drinks and chips to choose from as well as home made baked goods.
I recommend trying breaded or grilled chicken, but definitely give this place a shot if youre in the area.

Hands down one of the best delis around period. I read one review where someone’s sandwich came out wrong after 20 mins of waiting but rest assured that is not common for this place. They truly rise above the rest.

As we were making our way to upstate New York we found this great place to eat! We are not from the area and really were in search of a great deli. It was around lunch time and we could see a constant flow of customers coming in and out so we figured it must be good, well we were not disappointed. We ordered 2 of their classic sandwiches. They were delicious… we had no complaints and will definitely visit again!

For the past 4 years, we had been plagued with the same mediocre lunch places in the area. But finally a place that actually gets things right.
I have now had lunch from Baviello’s about 5 times and can now confidently say that this is the best deli in a 5 mile radius.
There is something to be said about the artistry of sandwich making. They use really good bread. The ingredients are fresh and unique. They layer the ingredients just perfectly, using just the right amounts and order to effect the taste the right way. The finished product is so perfect, not having that «overly stuffed» appearance. Each bite is perfection.
My favorites so far are the Godfather (mortadella italian sub) and the Rocky (horseradish mustard roast beef sub).
I’ve also had the Chef Salad here which is also very good. More than half is cold cuts, which I appreciated and the greens were fresh and not wilted like most other places in the Bi State Plaza.
So many other deli’s and sandwich shops don’t pay attention enough when they construct sandwiches. It’s more than just slicing cold cuts and dumping them on top of bread. You need to have balance and an idea of how each component tastes. Too much focus on quantity and not on quality.
Tip: They make alot of orders at lunch time so be sure to call ahead of time. This will save you a bit of aggravation.
The pricing is fair to a little above average. But for the quality you can’t go wrong. It is definitely cheaper than Mimi’s Plate, which is a great little shop that makes awesome gourmet sandwiches.

The turkey chili is to die for. Best to call ahead as it is very popular and there may be none left! All of their soups are tasty and their grilled chicken is excellent in a sandwich.

Always serving great sandwiches! Picked up a 4-​ft sub for the Super Bowl, which they were able to break up into multiple types (1ft eggplant /​1ft broc rabe w. mozz /​2ft proscuitto w. mozz). My guests were raving about it. As sandwhichs are made from scratch when you get there, expect to wait 5 – 10 minutes if you do not order ahead.

Can you give ZERO stars? Waited 20min for 2 sandwiches. Sandwich had 4 ingredients but somehow still came out wrong. Asked for the cheese they forgot… response was «he isn’t a sandwich maker»… Isn’t this a SANDWICH shop? And even with the cheese (the wrong one mind you) the sandwich was still soggy and inedible. Never again.

This is the best deli I have ever been to. They have a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from (the Scarface and the Bronx tale are my two favorites). They use only Boar’s Head deli meats which is a huge plus since you know you are getting quality meats. The staff is friendly and the owner Carol is engaging and is always looking for ways to please her customers. I go here at least once a week to grab a sandwich on my lunch break and have never once been disappointed.
But here is a heads up, if you plan on visiting between the hours of 12pm and 2pm you better call your order ahead because the place gets packed with patrons on their lunch breaks. But that in itself is a testament to how awesome this place is.
