Listen up peeps, if you’re looking to take a significant other to look at rings or go shop around Shane Co is a good place to start.
Their selection is huge. In fact, you will be overwhelmed. I took my fiancé to look at different styles here and it was kind of helpful. However, she didn’t really know what she wanted so she ended up walking out overwhelmed. If you’re someone who knows what they’re looking for then Shane Co is for you.
The sales people are really nice and know what they’re doing but it was a bit crowded and it made it hard to get help when needed. Especially since they try really hard to give everyone a lot of attention. Compared to local jewelers, you’re going to pay a bit more to shop here. I didn’t buy anything but maybe there’s room for them to come down on the prices… although I’d imagine not since you won’t work directly with an owner.

Me and my fiancé searched for something special for a very long time for our upcoming wedding. The sales person was nice enough. We ended up settling on a ring that I was OK with. We found better service and prices down the street at their competitor with the correct color stone and correct setting. When we went to cancel the ring at shane co the woman who helped us was kind of rude and didn’t even offer to try and keep our business. She just passed us off to refund our money as quickly as possible. Won’t be back. This was our second poor experience with them.

We had just a phenomenal experience shopping for wedding bands here. We ended up coming in three different times before I felt comfortable making a decision. All of the salespeople we worked with were wonderful. The day we bought my ring was the day before Valentine’s Day, which we knew would be crazy, so it took awhile but the people we worked with were still attentive and patient as I tried on lots of different bands. We got a unique band that I love, I’ve never seen one like it, for an incredible price and warranty. They are also resizing and cleaning my engagement ring so everything will be set for the big day. We are Shane co. Customers for life now!

I wish I had the option to give 10 stars to the real MVP of Shane Co. Jessica DePauli. She has been with my fiancé and I every step of the way from when we were just looking, to buying my engagement ring, and buying his wedding band. Every single time she has been an absolute delight and made the experience of ring buying fun and shared in our excitement. We drive all the way from Kansas City just to work with her because she is that good!

Before we proceed, let’s talk about a couple things: I am not big on buying and wearing jewelries but when I do want one, I read and research things (precious metal type preference, processes, elements, etc) and make a decision (with about 99% certainty) before I even go into the store to see the merchandise in person.
I do own a diamond necklace (white gold, simple but quite captivatingly designed) that is by Shane Co and love the quality of the piece so it was naturally one of the first few places to check online while doing a research for another piece. Forget the ads on the radio! The choice was clear when the piece online spoke to me. I still had some doubts because you never really know how you like something until you see it in person. This piece was even more brilliant when I saw it at the shoppe. There was another piece in mind and the helpful associate kindly pulled them out for me to inspect closely and to my leisure but in the end, I went back with what I had in mind originally. Needless to say, a purchase was imperative!
As far as the experience goes, it was truly in a magnitude much higher than anticipated. Coming in, an associate eagerly asked what I was looking for. I frantically pulled my phone out of my purse to pull up the photo and he knew exactly which part of the store it was located at. We walked over while he made some small talks — I am horrible with names so I don’t remember his but he did introduce himself and was wonderful throughout the whole process. No pressure to buy anything or sell me something with a higher price tag than what I wanted. He did make some suggestions as far as the sparkles went because he thought I might have wanted something with more sparkles with the same style but when he saw my facial expression to something with more diamonds, he immediately understood that I am going more for a minimalist piece.
The store did have to do some adjustments and today, I picked it up. Again, an associate gave me a very warm greeting as I enter and guided me to their pick-​up counter seeing that I had the piece of paper in hand. He was very nice and friendly! The counter moved along quickly and the lady made sure it was what I wanted, boxed it up, got my signature and I was on my way out. Such a stress-​free experience and I loved every minute of it!

Shane Co has been awesome. They have gone above and beyond to make sure my engagement ring is perfect, and I have changed settings several times and each time they have been very receptive to my ideas and completed the project quickly. The people there are attentive and friendly. I would recommend Shane Co to everyone.

Went into Shane to browse some rings. Really want a middle finger ring light enough for everyday use and with an intricate design that has my birthstone. Yes I realize this ring is in my mind but I needed inspiration to either custom design it or see if maybe there was the ring for me waiting… as soon as you walk in the direction to take is kind of odd. There is a waiting area with baked goods and coffee and a big please take our umbrella and return it when you can rack. How trusting??? So when you figure out to turn, you are hit with your first sales rep. You tell them you want to browse. They aren’t too pushy here at all, but… you are being watched very closely lol. It is good because it helps the confused who come in to get a gift. But what I needed was not good customer service, it was more of a good selection. Nothing caught my eye. There are options to custom make with the stones they offer but the ring selection was just boring. Keep hunting.

I can’t say enough great things about everyone at Shane Co, especially Amy. My now fiancé and I went in just to look at engagement rings, and we ended up accidentally finding the perfect one. Amy never once made us feel pressured or obligated to make a purchase. She was patient with us and explained everything we needed to know about picking out a diamond. My fiancé ended up going back knowing that we had found the right ring. I specifically waited to talk to Amy when we went back to look at men’s wedding bands because she made our first trip so insightful and enjoyable. I also love that I can go in anytime to get my ring cleaned and they remember me. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else for jewelry now!

2 stars = meh, which is exactly how we felt. We shopped for an engagement ring at Shane Co after being drawn in by their advertisements for the extensive selection, bigger bang for your buck, and no hassle sales experience. They did not have a ring with the element I wanted (a bezel setting) and said they could not customize a ring to add that element. Since that particular element was off the table, we gave some other options that I liked so we could see what selection they did have. The sales experience was low-​pressure, but our salesperson mostly pulled products outside the style parameters we gave and had difficulty working within our desired budget. Ultimately we did not find anything we liked and were underwhelmed with the experience.

I love Shane Co. The customer service is second to none. The agents are very hospitable, patient, knowledgable and aim to please.
The store is extremely inviting (designed to make you empty those pockets) fresh cookies, delicious mints, fresh brewed coffee, tea, water, extravagantly decorated for your comfort & confusion lol…
TV’s and comfy seating, amazingly well kept ladies room and of course BEAUTIFUL DIAMONDS everywhere!

Went in to look for an engagement ring and instead found my dream ring! A lovely lady by the name of Danielle helped me and my fiancé look for the ring. She made us feel very comfortable to ask multiple questions and we felt comfortable telling her what we liked and what we didn’t. By the time we found the ring style we moved on to the diamond which she helped us look at closely and choose the perfect size color and clarity of the diamond. I seriously can not wait to boast about my ring to all my friends and family when we announce our engagement and we got a complete package deal with our ring since they have lifetime warranties, free cleanings, and free resizings. I feel like one of the luckiest ladies in the world with the help of Danielle and Shane company!

I went here because I was shopping for an engagement ring. The store is very nice, and was larger than any other store I visited, except maybe one. The store is divided into 2 sections. The one only has engagement rings, the other has other jewelry (I didn’t go to the other side). The side with engagement rings had the best selection of anywhere I went in the area. Also in the display case with the rings were some loose diamonds in all shapes, sizes and qualities, everything from small, quarter carat stone for a few hundred dollars up to stones that cost more than my car (which I bought new). They also had many other stones in the safe they could show you upon request.
Their customer service is good, maybe even top notch. They recognized me and remembered me each time I came in. They had one person work with me as I looked at rings, and someone else help me when I looked at stones. They respected my budget and had a lot of great service plans which you get for free with purchase of a ring. For example, they offer to clean it and recoat it with rhodium ever so often, and for free. They also let me stay in the store after they closed as long as I needed to to conduct my business.
So if they are so good, why didn’t I give them 5 stars? My last time there, they kept running off; they’d spend 1 – 2 minutes showing me a stone or ring, then they’d run off for 5 – 10 minutes and go do something else. Other than that, their prices for stones were not competitive. I’d say they were maybe 40% more than their competition. With that established, they showed no interest in working with me. I asked if I could bring in a stone from elsewhere and mount it on one of their rings. They would do it, but only for a fee, and I wouldn’t get any of the benefits of buying a ring from them (see above). When I told them their competition had much better prices, they showed me stones at the same price, but that were lower quality and smaller. They claim to want your business and claim to be willing to compete, but to offer a clearly inferior product for the same price is not a way to compete with other businesses in the area. Other than that, I thought they were pretty good; they certainly beat out any of the other national chains I visited.

This is an update to a previous review. My fiancé and I had terrible service with Shane Co after they were recommended by a coworker. After I posted a scathing Unilocal review, corporate was flagged and the store manager reached out directly. We were compensated for our experience and the problem was solved. Good to know they care about maintaining positive customer views as well as appeasing upset customers. They do have a good selection and a nice diamond trade in program.

My fiancé & I have purchased 4 rings so far. We love the no sales pressure approach. The staff is GREAT! Their warranties are included. Their prices are competitive. We’re customers for life.

Don’t expect them to do anything outstanding if they do make a mistake. They will fix it but don’t wait for a hand shake and a I’m sorry.
Here is my story:
Bought engagement ring Xmas eve which was wrong size (was a 6.0). Went back a month later because ring kept flying off fiancés finger. (This was my fault for guessing wrong size and previously dating larger women). We retuned with idea of getting smaller sized definitive setting, but fiancé liked the starter band so we ended up resizing the existing ring and upgrading the stone another half karat instead. They informed us ring has to be redone so will need to be picked up another day which was fine.
I live 70 miles away from Shane co and came here based on reputation. This is where things ran off the tracks
Salesman forgot to write new ring size down and after driving an hour on a snowy wed night and my fiancé being excited to get new ring after not having ring for ten days-​the new ring was still a 6.0. I was irate bc this was explicitly the reason we returned in the first place. The cashier said we will fix this and tried to defuse me. I said get sales person *******.
He remembered us, and recalled the sizing issue but did not say anything when I said it was still the wrong size. When we asked the cashier about the work order, she said it never said anything about changing the ring size just re-​set the stone.
I don’t expect them to open up the vault and give us the Hope diamond over a mistake like this, but a simple I am sorry you drove an hour and we screwed up seems like the decent thing to do. Instead nothing was said.
I have made mistakes in dentistry and have never been sued because the buck stops w me and I am not afraid to say I am sorry or to make things right in the event someone is inconvenienced.
Anyway I can say the good things about Shane are:
Very nice store and comfortable. (Xmas eve Saleswoman Made buying ring painless and I can say they never pressured me at all in selecting stone.). They do honor their promise of making upgrade easy and giving you full credit on previous purchase.
I just never thought I would end up gritting my teeth and squeezing the steering wheel every time I think about my engagement ring buying experience from Shane co.

So, I was duped into going to look at rings with my, at the time, girlfriend. When we walked into Shane Co. we were greeted by what we later found out was the store manager named Josh. Josh, from the very first second, made us both feel very comfortable about simply looking at rings. I told him that purchasing an engagement was something that was nowhere near my radar. He understood and proceeded to only ask questions about her likes. He never once wondered if we had looked at pricing, or if we had a budget. He made the entire visit about her. She tried many different rings on and he was extremely knowledgeable about offering tips and advice on what to pay attention to. Once we made it all the way around the cases, he had helped her to narrow down her choices to two bands. Then he proved his incredible knowledge about the industry again. He started to bring out diamonds simply to show her about the different sizes, clarity, color etc. It was after just a little bit of time that she was able to identify exactly what band and what type of diamond she liked with it. Like most men would, I started to panic a little feeling that the pressure might be on.
After spending all of the time with her while I was simply taking in all of the knowledge he was sharing with us, he sent her away and told her to go look around. This was an opportunity for Josh to help calm the pressure of feeling like I was about to buy something. The only thing Josh asked about was if I had thought about proposing and, if so, when would be the ideal time. He never once pressured me with questions about well what if I could make you a great deal, would you consider it. He wrote down all of the information from her band and diamond preference so that I could have it when I came back and was ready to purchase. His understanding and respect that nothing was going to happen that day made me feel very sure about the fact that I would be coming back to see him when the time was ready.
When the time came to finally purchase the ring, Josh was there when I walked in, ready to help. He remembered my fiancé’s and my names right away. I told him I was ready to take the plunge. It didn’t take long to for him to blow me away with his incredible knowledge. I was having a blast looking at diamonds and learning about them as I looked. There came a moment when Josh had to step away from the consultation because he had to take care of another matter because of his managerial responsibilities. He left me in good hands with a female sales associate (I cannot remember her name) and she was just as helpful as Josh.
I finally got around to purchasing the ring and he made it extremely easy to make the ring fit within a budget that was suitable for my situation. There is no doubt that he exhausted every option he had available in order to make sure that the final result of the purchase was what’s best for me and not for his commission (because they dont work on commission).
Without boring everyone with more of my story, I will simply say that there is no doubt that Josh and the rest of his staff at Shane Co. on Olive are the absolute best there is at making sure that everything you want comes to fruition and there is absolutely no pressure into buying something when you dont feel comfortable.

A fraternity brother of mine had recommended that I go to Shane Co. after he had recently proposed. They were absolutely fantastic. The staff doesn’t work on commission so I didn’t feel pushed and neither did my fiancé when we were looking around. The staff was patient, helpful, and didn’t ask about budget until we had figured out what style we liked. My fiancé found «The Ring» at Shane Co. and I was able to get a fantastic diamond with my budget. I didn’t feel pressured to spend more than I was comfortable with. Every employee was very respectful of that aspect. The same cannot be said of the other places we visited.
They also have awesome cookies. :)

I just made my 3^rd Shane Co purchase and I gotta say, they make throwing away months and months of your hard earned salary on a piece of metal really easy and enjoyable. Everyone working here is very professional, they have little amenities like cookies and a nice coffee/​cappuccino setup, and most importantly they are efficient.
I was scared sh^tless the first time I came in this place to start looking for engagement rings because I thought that this was going to be some big long drawn out process that was going to put me in debt for the rest of my life. But it wasnt. In fact I have spent more time picking out what kind of craft beer I want at the grocery store than I have with all of my combined purchases at Shane Co.
While I really hope I have stepped foot in this place for the last time… I will say that if you are some young doofus considering getting engaged or just gettin somtin nice fo yo lady friend… this is a great place to start.

This new location is great! The inside area is so much more open and they are able to provide more cases for showing off their jewelry! They also have an entire area in the back of the store for check-​out and purchase! I like this concept.
The jewelry sales reps are pretty awesome and I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything-​I was just browsing and they were all very eager to assist.
