I usually get Walter’s honey at the Crocker Park edition of the North Union farmers’ market. His creamed honey is not cheap, but it is one of the best iterations of honey i’ve ever eaten. His regular honey is a staple in my kitchen, great in things where you need sweetness ah, like chile and curry(seriously, if you were a bit too heavy handed with the chiles this will soften the ‘edge’). He also has a variety of jams and jellies, which his wife makes that are really superb. Love her bumble berry and black raspberry. His wife is at the Oberlin Farmers Market on Saturday mornings while Walter comes to Crocker. Walter also goes to the Westside Market. He is in the outer area with the produce people on the east end(toward the parking lot.)

This dude’s bees make some nice honey, I get the spiced, it’s reasonably-priced(…). The balms seem good, but never purchased them. I go to the location at the West Side Market and since his stand is a slower area, he’ll talk to you for awhile about bees if you wanna.

yellow bees frolic don’t sting me you yellow bee I like the jellies In the no-mans part of the Westside Markets fruit and veggie arcade is quite the treat. Jorgensen’s Apiary products, all natural and locally produced have some of the best fruit preserves around. A lot of old school flavors such as red currant, mullberry, rhubarb aside from more mainstream flavors. I’ve tried the salsas too, my favorite being a red cherry salsa. So good. Also, no HFCS, and some Splenda options available. Yum, errrr… nom… whatevs… But give this stand a look-see. Its all delish. Oh yeah! They also make some all natural — organic — local — hippy-dippy soaps and stuff. Carry on.
