Just had dinner here. We arrived when they opened and were seated immediately. Service was good. Atmosphere could use a facelift, but appeared clean. People were friendly and food was good. I had a very nice grilled chicken salad with mandarin oranges, cranberries, and walnuts. My husband had a steak, but said it was OK, not the best he has had, but overall good. Will come back sometime.

A couple of recommendations led three of us in town to Olde Tyme Steakhuas. A review of the menu raised hopes for a tasty meal. The reality did not rise to the levels of hope when it came to yum yum for da tum tum. I had the rib eye and as is the case I find it a lot of small town steakhouses it came with a of of grizzle and an overwhelming taste of I think is tenderizer. I got teh homemade chips as a side and they were average. One of my co-diners had the prime rib prime rib by some local tv or radio station. When I asked how it was he said it was ‘OK’ not exactly the words I was expecting for voted best The third of our group had the rib eye to covered in onions and didn’t comment. He is one who tends to emphasize the great of something good, his silence led me to believe it was at best OK My going out the door is there was nothing that would be called a desire to return

My char prime rib was a little dry, but all in all, a decent meal. The dryness may have been the result of grass-fed vs. corn-fed cattle. Ambiance aside, this is a warm and friendly restaurant. Lots of regulars ordering lots of prime ribs. A little window-dressing would go a long ways in attracting additional dining customers, but they seemed to be doing a brisk business on a Saturday night. The interior reminds me of a rental hall for wedding receptions — kinda plain vanilla compared to many of the steak houses I have visited in my time.
