Friendly Grove Resort & Spa for Dogs

I have a Husky and she required a ton of grooming which in the past was a pain. She loves Friendly Grove and always is happy to get out of car and go in! And when she comes out she is gorgeous, I mean show dog quality! I love Friendly Grove!

We took our dog here (for daycare, grooming, and boarding) for two years while we lived in Washington. Unfortunately we just left the area and one of the things I miss the most if Friendly Grove! They were always extra accommodating, super friendly, and extremely knowledgable about everything relating to dogs. The staff go out of their way to ensure that the dogs have the best experience possible, regardless of what they’re there for. I highly recommend their establishment for every service they provide — hands down the best in the area!

This place is like doggie Shangri La. I felt like I was stepping into a human Salon and the grounds are like a beautiful compound. Awesome place to take your pup and the people are great!

Took Simba here for the first time and was impressed. The groomer was super sweet and came out to personally meet Simba and hear my requests. He looked so cute and wasn’t stressed when I picked him up!

This is hands down the most complete pet resort I have ever seen. The staff is amazing, everyone of them is the friendliest I have ever seen. The experience your dog will get here will make them want to tell you to stay away another week.

Great customer service !!! Having my dog in boarding always makes me nervous and the staff was so amazing with answering any questions or concerns I had which had me feeling very confident my dog was in great hands!!! The price is perfect for all the things this place has to offer !!
However, leaving my dog for eight days I completely expect to get him back with some dirt on him that’s just normal … But we got him back extremely filthy and smelled just horrible, from dry mud all over his front legs and stomach to yellow tummy and elbows which I know that mud was on him all week from the first picture I got of him on his update email. which under these circumstances if the caregiver at the time couldnt rinse all the mud off him and the yellow stains on his body we wouldn’t of minded a phone call explaining he was beyond discusting dirty and would have paid for his grooming no problem so he’s not sleeping on a muddy coat all week, but at least for next time we know to set him up for grooming as well
I definitely recommend this place for your dog I trust that the friendly grove team is very educated on what they do and love the dogs who go there :)

We’ve been taking our dogs to Friendly Grove for about 3 years now, and recently we’ve started taking our boxer to daycare a few days a month. The staff is always friendly and they know our dogs by name and seem genuinely excited to see them. I actually had a friend that worked there for a bit and i grilled her about how the dogs are treated, and she assured me that they are very well taken care of. Friendly Grove is the only place we trust with our babies! They come back tired and honestly seem sad to leave!

We’ve only been twice, but my dogs love going here for daycare. The staff does a great job paying attention to the individual needs of the dogs. Drop off and pick up are smooth, too. My dogs come home happy and exhausted. I feel very comfortable leaving them here. It’s beautiful, roomy and clean.

I have been taking my dogs to Friendly Grove for more than 5 years now consistently for daycare twice a week and occasional boarding when we are out of town. I feel so incredibly lucky to have such a trusted amazing kennel so close to me. I have relied on Lisa and her staff countless times for advice with my dogs. They are friendly, reliable, professional and just plain amazing. I have been to other daycare places where there is there is limited interaction with the dogs, a lot of yelling and not a lot of focus on the dogs themselves. I continue to be amazed when I pick up my two heelers and the staff and Friendly Grove tell me stores about what my little demons did all day and any behavior issues with them. This tells me they are attentive and care about each and every dog at their facility.
Having a kennel that you can drop you dogs off and go out of town without any guilt or worry is priceless. This place really is amazing!

After reading the reviews I definitely wanted to try the place out for the daycare. Even though I run with my dog daily I usually take her to daycare once a week for her to socialize with other dogs. We just moved here and after spending forever reading other reviews I really had my heart set on this place. I really wished the other reviews would have let me know that this place only have very small room for daycare. I called today to see if I can get my dog in tomorrow for daycare and (like many other places) they required a test day for her… usually other places allow me to bring my dog in at normal drop off hours but with an understanding that if for any reason my dog doesn’t play well with other dogs or is difficult to handle they would call me back and I would have to pick her up. But at Friendly Grove they said that their test day meant I would bring her in sometime during the middle of the day and that she could only stay for a couple of hours… ok…but that they already had one dog booked for tomorrow so we couldn’t come (only room for one new dog per day?). So she said she could put me on the wait list and when a time comes available for my dog to come in to be tested they would give me a call. Then she proceeded to explain the daycare process to me, they only have room for a limited number of dogs for the daycare so once my dog passed the test day they would then tell me what days were open for daycare. WOW! So complicated just for doggie daycare… makes me feel as if I am trying to get my child into some prestigious school or something. So if you are like me and are just looking for a good place to take your dog for daycare DON“T WASTE OUR TIME HERE!

They took our wild year old husky for ten days and he came back happy and relaxed. It was clear he was well treated. He tugs to get into day care and resists leaving. I’m very impressed with each staff person, professional, and seem to love working with dogs. Highly recommend.

As I stated in my original review of Friendly Grove, I had been here one time with my dog for a daycare session. When I picked up my dog, he was dehydrated and seemed as though he had been without water and, additionally, without access to the bathroom. I was concerned that he had been kenneled, which was not what I was led to believe the plan was for daycare dogs.
After I posted my experiences with Friendly Grove, I was emailed by the owner, Lisa. Lisa is adamant that Rollie was never without access to the outside (bathroom!) and that there was certainly water available. She was able to tell me exactly what Rollie did with his day and where water was placed accordingly; this was very reassuring.
I no longer feel that my dog was kenneled without my knowledge. I do not know what happened and I don’t wish to further speculate beyond saying maybe Rollie was stressed out his first day there. Lisa seems to me to be trustworthy; she was very specific in addressing my concerns throughout our emails and it is her customer service that has earned Friendly Grove an additional star.
One more thing. I highly recommend communicating with Friendly Grove via email. They are very rushed on the phone and, as I told Lisa in our communications, it was difficult to get all the information I needed by calling. I believe this contributed to a feeling of initial unease that I had about this business. The staff is very friendly, but they are also quite busy. I learned a ton about Friendly Grove in just a couple of emails with Lisa, and if they take that time with every customers, and not just one that writes a negative review on the internet, I think one would be better off talking to them that way.

Since our girls first visit back in May 2011 our girls continue to go and get super excited when we make the right turns.
When boarding your dogs I would suggest instead of the a la carte you do the all inclusive package. It is completely worth the little extra you package.
They still know our girls so well and even when one of ours gets tired and cranky they handle it so well. Just like we do at home. Lisa and the team are loving animal people and we will continue to send our girls.
I just can’t suggest anywhere better in the area and our girls have been to several day cares before finding this gem!

The staff at Friendly Grove is phenomenal!
When I brought my dogs to be boarded at Friendly Grove, they were balls full of anxiety and I was a nervous wreck! My lab mix had never been boarded. I thought she was un-​boardable due to her extreme separation anxiety. The staff was patient, kind and took time to give her lots of walks, frozen kongs and playtime. Not only did Friendly Grove help her cope with her initial anxiety about boarding but they made it her most favorite place to go and both my dogs now attend once a week daycare there as well! My dog celebrated her 6^th Birthday (pictures and pup cakes included) at the Grove while I was overseas for a month without a worry in the world that my dogs would be well cared for.
The grounds are immense and immaculate. They must have one employee dedicated to poop patrol because it is an amazing property. I have also started my dogs grooming there. What a difference. I was in awe that I didn’t have to take them to the vet to get their nails done anymore. The owner just has a way with animals… they love her! And so do the human clients. I can always count on the Grove to give me a detailed report on my dogs when I pick them up. Sometimes they even notice potential health concerns that I have overlooked in my busy day to day buzz. Check out the high quality food selection also, good prices.
I highly recommend this facility!!! I wish I could find a spa for myself so accommodating but I guess its a dogs life…
