Theresa E. Madden, DDS, MS, PhD, FACD

Dr. Madden has 29 years of experience periodontics following work as a hygienist, assistant and office manager. She serves on the Practitioner Advisory Committee (PAC) of the Western region of the National Dental Practice-​based Research Network (NDPBRN). Presently she is conducting research on better methods of oral cancer screening as well as desensitization treatments (www​.nation​alden​talp​brn​.org).

She also serves as the Clinical Expert for the American Dental Association’s commitment to the PCSS-​O (Providers’ Clinical Support System for Opioid Therapies www. pcss​-​o​.org). She is past president of SCADA (International Association of Student Clinicians of the ADA), Multnomah Dental Society. In addition to reviewing many research grant applications, she has served on numerous editorial boards.
