Mullinax Ford of Olympia

Just bought a used Ford Edge from Mullinax Ford of Olympia. Mullinax had a lot of QUALITY used vehicles to choose from, which was a nice change from their competitors. Many of the other dealers had vehicles with major problems or they couldn’t find the cars featured on their web site. Mullinax, on the other hand, was always able to show us the cars they had advertised on their website. The sales staff were very friendly and helpful, not overbearing or pushy. We worked with both Ben and Ryan and had a great experience.
Mullinax features what they call an «up front no haggle» price, which seemed a bit odd at first, but to be honest, when we landed on the vehicle we wanted to buy, I leaned over to my wife and told her I thought it was a great price. I also felt reassured by their 60 day guarantee on their used cars. The car we bought was classified as «green tag» meaning that if there were any issues, we would only have to pay a $ 100 deductible to get the repairs done. If you buy a used car that is «yellow tag», then it means you would pay half the cost of repairs if anything went wrong. This guarantee, plus seeing the great condition of the used cars they were selling really made us feel comfortable in choosing Mullinax — no other used car dealer in the Auto Mall was offering this same value.
We worked with Zach in financing and I have to say — nicest person to work with. He gave us our options, and really made us feel like what was important to use was what he wanted. He explained everything and again, wasn’t pushy. This is something I have never experienced while purchasing a car — and I loved it! While most finance folks try to belittle a person into going with all their options, Zach really explained the benefits of each option and let us decide.
What really stood out to us, however, was the level of customer service, even after the sale: Any time you do business you always run the risk of there being a misunderstanding, either on your part or their part. The thing that is important to me is not so much whether something goes wrong or not, but how the business handles things when they do. We had a VERY SMALL misunderstanding that Jeremy (one of the sales managers) hopped on and fixed right away. He responded quickly and didn’t make us feel as though things were our fault. It’s one thing when someone can deliver what you expect, but a whole new experience when someone goes above and beyond what you expected. After our experience at Mullinax Ford, I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. They have great cars, great service, and Jeremy really showed that they back up that great service! You just won’t find any other experience like Mullinax — HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Well I must say for only going to buy least expensive mini van on the lot for use only one day a week for a specific task we do every Saturday we scored with the salesman RYAN. it’s rare to say you had a good time buying a vehicle, but we did. Ryan has a real fun personality not at all pushy.
I had initially wanted to take the van to pick my husband up from work and have him drive it back to try it out. Well as I was waiting for the dealer plate to take it off the lot, the manager came running out with Ryan and pointed out a huge leak coming from under the van. They took it to the mechanic where it was found out a new radiator was needed and we had to wait until the next day to drive the van.
Ryan called us to let us know the van was ready and off we went. Not only did the van sport a new radiator, but it also had some new tires and no they didn’t raise the price of the van.
Ryan let us take the test drive without him. The test drive on the $ 2,000 van went well, so we made quick stop at our bank to get cash to pay for the van We did not haggle over the price since it had a new radiator and new tires, plus a few other things they did to it.
While we waited to pay for the van a 2002 Kia Sedona, Ryan was attentive and really fun to talk to. Actually everyone there was kind and nice.
We bought our last vehicle from Lexus of Fife which is known for it’s outstanding customer service. Ryan at Mullinex definitely has the same level of attention to his clients as our salesman at Lexus. We picked Mullinex because the van popped up on CARS​.COM and my expectations were low, but pleasantly exceeded.

What used to be All Star Ford is gone, thank goodness! Mullinax Ford is a whole new and wonderful experience. When you take commission only income out of the equation, things improve drastically. We have only dealt with the staff at the west side location of Olympia and not the Pacific Ave location. We just purchased our new F350 from them after buying a new Escape earlier this year. We went back to the same salesman that we had in the purchase of the Escape, Brian Casper. He made this purchase as pain free as our first purchase, quick, answered all our questions, is getting our new truck ready that is exceeding our expectations and in my opinion, one of the most honest and forth coming car sales person we have ever had. Great sense of humor as well. He has us for loyal customers. Brian Casper is one of those salesman that if someone did not qualify, he could tell them in a way that they were not humiliated. Diane in the Finance Department is extremely knowledgable and organized. She’s also a very nice lady. She made the paperwork portion pain free as well, quick and did not drag it out for an eternity like some do. We always try to support our local businesses and with All Star we did go elsewhere and with another competitor. Now that Mullinax is a totally different organization, we came back to the local guys

I went to All Star Ford and spoke with Robert Pruess about getting into a used car. He found me a great car that was within my budget. He was super fast and friendly, and made sure to make the process as painless as could be.
I would recommend All Star Ford to anyone looking for a great new/​used car. I got a Nissan Versa hatchback, and its great! Robert also made sure to keep in contact with me every step of the way and I know that I can contact him personally for anything that I need, no matter how small.

A salesman is your best friend until you sign the paperwork. Salesman Jeffrey did a test drive with me, and the car squealed loudly. He assured me that after it went through safety it would be taken care of. I also asked they fix a really bad scratch that covered the entire side and some of the back (which they did do). Also as part of the deal my mechanic had to OK the vehicle. I signed the paperwork the same day and waited a week to get my keys. I noticed right away that there was that familiar noise. After my mechanic found numerous problems (transmission fluid smelled burnt, their service team sprayed gobs of belt dressing all over the belt and pulleys to try to quiet it down for a quick sale, in need of a tuneup, low percentage on brake pads, rust, etc) Jeffrey did attempt to have it serviced. The same day it came back from service and still today the car makes the same gut wrenching noise. And although we agreed verbally (and on a separate, pointless piece of paper) that my mechanic had to OK it, he’s now playing dumb and saying they weren’t able to replicate the problem… And they won’t return it «after all they have done»
Just poor business, shady sales tactics, and now I get to sink boat loads into a car that I was assured would be working great after purchase.
I recommend to have a trusted third party fully inspect a vehicle here if you’re going to buy one. Do not sign ANYTHING until this occurs. I don’t believe my salesman is a bad man, he’s a guy trying to make a sale and as a result integrity is lost on the way to the end. Remember you’re the one with the money and you don’t have to do anything. I made a mistake in buying a used car with as-​is on it and went only with trust. DON’T TRUST A SALESPERSON. Do your research. I wish I did

I have never been treated so poorly, from the start to the after sale helpfulness was subpar at best, even straight out lying

Often times unfortunately in Olympia when you shop for a car you feel like to have to go in with gloves! Its a hard business, and hard for consumers to navigate. I was shopping for a new car for a week and a half. I visited almost EVERY lot at the automall, and was less than thrilled with the results. Being the end of the year, the sales personnel were pushy. dishonest, and just trying to achieve those end of year sales marks. EXCEPT for All Star Ford. No joke. I used to work for the BBB so I am very critical in my expectations of customer service, and fair business practice. David Smith in sales and Chad in management were excellent. I am a women, so I was dubious in negotiating a car deal by myself, not because I couldn’t but because sadly all too often we aren’t given the benefit of the doubt in regards to knowledge and strength. With David, he listened to exactly what I was looking for in my needs, and budget. Didn’t try to sell me anything else! He picked out the PERFECT car, the ford fiesta. I know, I know, small car. But it was exactly what I wanted, and if it were a truck the service I know would have been just the same. When we proceeded with the deal, Chad was communicative, professional, and up front. Both of them are no BS kinda of guysthat’s for sure. All in all, if there wouldn’t have been 3 other deals closing in finance (busy day) I would have been out of there within an hour. I am SOOOOO impressed and I have an amazing car, with bells and whistles I could barely believe for a great price. I am so happy and will be sending all my friends and families to David Smith! Was lured to the Pacific branch by a mailer which boasted 130% of your KBB for your used car, and lots of vehicles at affordable prices. When we got there, the cheapest they had was a truck for 9.5k.
They sent us over to their Westside Oly branch, which didn’t have any better selection. We found a car that we did like, a salesman’s rig he was trying to sell. They had us fill out a bunch of paperwork– then talked about our trade in amongst themselves. They came back with no solid offer (we could give you maybe 5), and yapped at us a bit about how our bank wouldn’t approve something like what we wanted (what? All we wanted was to know what you’d give us for our car) We wasted a lot of time waiting for them to wheedle around words (4 hours with all the driving and papers, etc) until they finally told us they couldn’t wiggle on something that they wouldn’t be making any profit on.
No thanks, bad taste in my mouth with their misleading ways. We won’t be back and I don’t recommend anyone else go there either.

Took my 2012 F150 in because the check engine light was on. I had accidentally made the appointment at Lakewood Ford and when I got to All Star Ford they didn’t have me in the system. They still scheduled me right in. It was going to be a few hours before they could look at it so they got me a shuttle ride home. I only had to wait five minutes before the shuttle picked me up. They received the part the next day and fixed it and sent the shuttle back to pick me up. When I got there, they checked me out in just a few minutes and I was on my way. They cleaned the truck and had a bottle of water waiting in the cup holder. Excellent service department.

Bought a 2012 Mustang GT/​CS from them in early December 2011. The customer service was great and the follow up was awesome.
The salesman listened to what I wanted and took the time to help me find it. Financing was a breeze and since I purchased the car there has been follow up to make sure I’m happy. I bought a car from them previously and will be sure to return

Needed to post here because apparently my first review is not of the actual store but of their PO Box address (which I’m sure is just as great).
This is a great dealership! Zak helped me from the very beginning and I had no issues whatsoever finding the car I wanted. If you are looking for a car this is the place to go.

Long story short:
I contacted Lloyd Jones to look at a specific used car they had in stock and he twice assured me it had a perfect interior. I then drove down from Seattle to Olympia to take a look. It wasn’t perfect. In fact, it was anything but. I let Lloyd’s fill in for the day, Bruce, know about my frustration with Lloyd’s deception? (or pehaps laziness?)
Now, I can’t speak for how they are in the negotiating process, but one thing is for sure, I’d suggest everyone be wary of what these guys might say to get you in the door.
