The Capital Museum is housed in the former Lord Mansion, which is a beautiful building, but after seeing the displays on the history of the Capitol, there was little else to hold our attention. It’s only $ 2 to get in, a little hard to find, we actually passed it by once. But if you’re touring Olympia, you should check it out. I am hopeful that there will be some emphasis on redoing the exhibits, or at least cleaning things up a little. It is fairly underwhelming and the young man at the reception desk, while cordial, seemed rather bored and embarrassed there was so little to offer.
