I’ve gone to see April for my man-​zilian 4 – 5 times now; I thought she did such a good job that I convinced my wife to come for her Brazilian. We both think April does a great job. April is very flexible in her scheduling and is a true professional in her industry.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received from Jose and all the staff at Studio B. They really took the time to consult with me and offer suggestions to make sure I was going to love the drastic change I was requesting. Studio B is the most welcoming, fun, professional salon I’ve visited. You can tell the staff sincerely cares about their clients and each other. I can’t wait to go back.

Let me start off by saying that I like April Garcia as a person. She is personable, proffesional, and doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable.
The reason I am giving two stars is I went to see her 4 times for a bikini wax. I gave her FOUR tries. I paid $ 50 for each wax. I felt she was lazy with the waxing. Every time there were patches of hair left in addition to just some stragglers. Now its not terrible if you’ve been in a committed relationship long enough that some hair doesn’t embarrass you or your partner. But when I pay $ 50 to have it removed proffesionally I want it all gone. That’s what I paid for. I mentioned it multiple times and she always blamed it on the lights. But then after it being mentioned she didn’t check thoroughly. So all in all, if you want to get your moneys worth and have all the hair gone. Don’t see April for a Brazilian wax.

The absolute best experience at a salon I’ve ever had. I’ve been going to Jose (one of the owners) for over a year. I have thinning hair but he is so attentive and precise which makes me feel like I have a full head of hair. He is very thorough, clean, and really gives you a full salon experience for a cheap price. My girlfriend goes to April, the other owner, and has had nothing but excellent service. This by far is our favorite salon in all of thurston county, and we’ve referred many people to April and Jose.

I have no idea why there aren’t more reviews for this place but the only thing I can think of is most people tend to write reviews for places they don’t like.
First off, this place is open on Sunday which is great for those who have kids and work Monday– Friday.
I found this place looking through Unilocal and was impressed with all the positive reviews plus it was near my home and open on Sunday.
For me being a recent olympia transplant, finding a hair salon has been like playing a dangerous game of Russian roulette. You walk into a place blindly not knowing what to expect or how your experience will be and hoe your haircut will turn out. I get so nervous for this reason when I go to get my haircut. But I’m so glad I took a chance on this place.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I drove up but it took me a second to find bc it is a small building set back within a business park type area of other detached buildings. Nothing fancy but not a big deal to me. I walked in and was greeted kindly and then my stylist Jose greeted me warmly. I didn’t even have a chance to sit down and soak in the waiting ares atmosphere but it appeared comfortable, cozy, and clean.
Jose took me to his chair, listened to my desires and asked appropriate follow up questions. He then washed my hair twice, and conditioned it. I would have literally paid money just to have him wash my hair because he spent what felt like 10minutes washing it and massaging my scalp. It was the best hair washing experience I’ve ever had in my life and I’m in my 30s so that should tell you something.
He then proceeded to cut my hair, dry it, and flat iron it, using all sorts of fancy redken products which he showed me as he went. But he never asked if I wanted to buy any so there was never a sense of a sales pitch.
He had me check my hair out several times along the way as he was cutting to make sure it was what I had envisioned and he did an amazing job. I can not speak more highly of his service. He is just a very kind person and a great listener.
He gave me a goody bag of sample products too! It’s the little things really.
Do yourself a favor and ask for Jose!

My husband and I needed a haircut bad and hadn’t found a place yet in the area since we’d moved here. Picked this place because of good reviews, decent prices and we lucked out with booking appointments for both of us on a Saturday around the same time. The online booking was a huge plus for me.
Greeted immediately and checked in, owner April asked if my husband wanted to get his hair cut by Jose, who had just finished early with another client, so we could both get haircuts at same time. April did my hair, checked in with me throughout the cut to make sure it was what I wanted. It felt like she really listened to what I was asking for. I did get a sales pitch about Brazilian blowouts helping my very thick hair, but she was super respectful and wasn’t pushy about it at all.
Now my hair looks great, I really like how it turned out… and Jose did a great job cleaning up and trimming my husband’s curly hair that had gotten a bit out of control.
Bonus: Got a welcome goodie bag with product samples and coupons for future visits.
Will definitely come back, staff here are friendly, respectful and do quality cuts for reasonable prices.

If you get a hair cut here, make sure Jose washes your hair. Then, make sure either Jose, Darci, or April cut your hair. Awesome place!

Great place. Nice, neat, clean. Very friendly staff from who I interacted with. Jazmin did my hair for me. I got a trim and an all over dye. I like my hair dark and she suggested added different tones into my hair so when its in the sun it looks more natural, and may I say it turned out amazing! I love the color. She trimmed my hair nicely. I didn’t want too much cut because I’m trying to grow it out. And she fixed my bangs for me cause I tried to trim them myself and they ended up awkward. Price was good too. I will be going back for sure and I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for a new stylist. I just moved up here from CA not too long ago and when I first got here I went to a different salon and the lady there missed spots all over my hair when dying it, and she cut my hair in just a straight chop … I was not pleased. Jazmin fixed it all.

Zeb is a fabulous stylist. I have been with her over 12 years. My hair looks and feels fantastic every time.

Got an all over hair color from Jazmin. She did great on my hair color and listened to what I had wanted over old pictures of mine as well as the color book from the salon. Wonderful! Perfect I would say! But the stars is not on the color but the service, one is the cost… online it says it is 40 for one color (surprisingly cheap so I don’t mind if it was off). It was 80. Sad face. My hair is long so no big deal, most places charge extra. Two is the lack of detail in cleaning the dye. I went out shortly after (if you get a new hairdo celebrate and get out and have a date) and there was dye that was not cleaned, sticking to all around my forehead and ears. Chunks off color on the corners. This too I don’t mind so much because I can clean it myself which is why it’s a four. She has potential! Go for it! Just explain specifically what you want and more than likely you’ll get that. She’s friendly, personable, and a cute gal. Worth it especially with the online booking service. Who cares about the tidbits on doing your cleaning to check the corners or that it actually has a reasonable cost, they’re greeeaaatt!

After 4 years of only getting my hair cut and colored when I went home to CA it was time to find a local stylist. I found Studio B on Unilocal,and went on in super excited for my first hair appt since my little one was born. My appoint my was with a junior stylist.
…unfortunately when I got home I was severely underwhelmed. I went in two days later meet with April (the owner). I set an appointment with her for a couple weeks later to fix what I was unhappy with.
At my second appointment all was set right with my hair world! ;) April and Jose were just amazing and I couldn’t possibly be happier with the finished product! I will most definitely be returning!

Absolute praise! I’ve gone from one bad stylist to another for more than a year now… until I found April and Jose @ Studio B! Jose did my cut/​style and April helped with thoughts and ideas for my naturally curly hair. The salon is ultra comfortable and laid-​back. Even my hair washing was a relaxing wash/​condition/​head massage and even a short shoulder massage when I sat up. Jose did a most awesome job, I am so happy to have found such an awesome salon to call home! They even gave me a free deep moisturizing treatment as a new client! Very impressed and highly recommend!

After my stylist moved across the country I was hesitant to even begin to look for someone new to pamper my hair. Man, I wish I’d have tried Studio B (Kathy) a long time ago! Exceptional customer service, same day appointment for a fabulous color and cut! I am beyond thrilled with the results! I highly recommend this salon, you won’t be sorry! As an afterthought, I decided to see if I could also get my eyebrows done and April took excellent care of me! Totally on the spot, no waiting and they were done in about 2 minutes… LITERALLY PERFECT! I’m beyond thrilled with the service, I can’t wait to come back again!

I would give studio B zero stars, if I could, but I can’t. On Saturday, January 31, 2015, I called to make a hair appointment as an initial client and spoke with Shelbie. I asked Shlebie when the next available appointment was for a cut and a color. She asked if I had a specific stylist in mind, and I explained I did not, I just wanted their first available appointment. Shelbie explained to me that she could see me on Monday, February 2^nd at 12:00 pm. PERFECT! I have Monday’s off, I’ll take it! I immediately got a reminder text about my appointment (Awesome!), Monday morning came and I got a reminder about my appointment. About an hour later I got a text telling me my appointment had been rescheduled to Tuesday at 4… um… Shelbie then called and left a message on my phone telling me that she had to wait at home to have some people come out to drop something off. Excuse me. I had scheduled an appointment on Monday at noon for a specific reason. To reschedule my appointment to a time that is convenient for you is extremely presumptuous. I wasn’t even given the opportunity to schedule with another stylist. I called the salon, left a message and stated the appointment would not work and that I was extremely disappointed. No call from anyone who might possible manage the salon. Shelbie then text me to make sure I had received her message. I told her that this was poor customer service and reiterated the fact that my schedule did not allow me to come in on a Tuesday at 4:00 pm. I asked to be removed from their client list at this time, as this certainly is not the only salon in the area. No apology what so ever from a single person in that salon. Such a disappointment. Your stylists may possibly do good hair, but your customer service needs a makeover.

I had a great experience at this salon. I called to make an appointment and had never been there before. I had destroyed my hair color. I tried to strip magenta out of my hair on my own. I looked like a giraffe when I was done with myself. April sat down and I took off my hat lol she asked me everything that I had done to it. She was very respectful (I was really embarrassed) and listened to everything I said. I told her I wanted to go blonde even though I knew that might not happen. We started by additional stripping to get more pink/​red spots out. Then she lightened it (I had dark spots too from my roots) then applied toner. I almost cried I was so relieved she fixed it and it looks almost platinum blonde. Couldn’t be happier. Big thank you to April and Jose.

Big salon with plenty if expert service! Great atmosphere! Shelby is my go– to stylist, who is passionate about her work, and offers the newest trends as well as your favorite style or look. Her expertise with cuts and amazing color application makes her second to none! Shelby listens carefully to what you want and delivers an excellent result!

April is the best! If you want friendly service and get amazing results go to her!

April is BY FAR the best hair dresser EVER. Not only is she totally sun she always goes ABOVE and beyond to take care of my crazy hair ideas! :)

Absolutely LOVE the environment in there. Not to mention the talent and skills of every employee. The only reason I haven’t given a 5 star is because after only seeing Rose once, and her listening to me tell her about my hair and then actually applying specific techniques for my hair type, it turned out so much better than what I could have even imagined. Absolute love. However, my first visit wasnt too long ago and consistency is what will win me over to 5 stars.

No body in the world does a Brazilian wax like April. I have been waxed by the woman who works on the Showgirls in Vegas, a few estheticians in San Diego as well as Olympia and not one of them works as well as April. I have recommended a few people to her that said the same thing. I used to go to Shinghaar where I paid $ 65 – 70 and only pay $ 45 – 50 at Studio B. April does not rush, she is very gentle, gives you a breather whenever you need one and gets every last hair! She uses really good wax that makes it hurt a LOT less. :)
