Trader Joe’s

I love love love trader joes. This store is where I usually shop. They have some really unique items and their prices are very good. The service is always very good. The staff all seem to enjoy their job. The thing I really like is that they will always open up more registers if the lines get too long– that is one of my pet peeves and most stores could care less how long you have to wait. A+ to trader joes on all areas. I just wish it were closer to my home as I live 30 minutes away.

Out of all the Trader Joes that I have visited, this one is by far the best. The costumer service is outstanding and you can tell that the employees at least look like they are content. They also always have amazing coffee ready for sampling, which is perfect. The only suggestion that I have is that they clean their bathrooms, they tend to be very dirty

I love this store! Nice people, great food, good prices — what more could you ask for? It’s fun shopping here because the employees know where everything is and they are so happy to help you find it. Best thing to happen to Olympia in years.

My favorite place to buy wine!!! They have great selection of groceries and awesome prices. Wish it was a little bigger!

TJ’s West Oly has been our go-​to for items not found at the Food Co-​op. Super sad to go in this evening and notice the bright lights glaring from my parking spot. WHAT?! So bright inside that I could barely get thru the aisles to grab my few items before being driven out by the overwhelming LED lights. Beware any one who has light sensitivities.

Out of all the Trader Joe’s I have been to this one is by far the best. The shelves are always stocked and the folks working here are the friendliest people in town. Really, they are.
My favorite time to come in is around 8:00 AM when they first open… The music is blaring, the workers are singing, stocking shelves, and watering flowers. And there is practically nobody else shopping.
Did you know if you find Sasquatch and take him to customer service you can get a lollipop? Yup… And the workers even help children find him.
Eating Paleo/​Whole30 this place really is a one-​stop shop for my food needs.
On the occasions when I like to partake in adult beverages they have all you need at great prices. I mean, a case of wine under $ 40?!? Yes please!
The only thing that kind of sucks is the parking lot. It is hell trying to get out of there in the afternoon or early evening. Forget a quick trip during your lunch break.
Parking aside, this place is pretty great!

My first trip into a TJ store. Usually, people are shopping for me. This time it was the other way around. The store had a lot of variety, I was impressed. Prices seemed really fair, for a store that had premium products. Bottom line… Would go back.

Similar in quality and selection to other locations. Prices seem a bit lower than I remember, but this belief might be due to several stops at one in Manhattan. Couldn’t find any baby food in the whole place– kind of surprised.

Today I was just short by a few mere seconds of walking in on a bearded gentlemen in a plaid skirt releasing a brown hostage. A most unfortunate Trader Joe’s employee was several steps ahead of me to the bathroom that clearly said unoccupied. He shuttered as he lay gaze upon the degenerate in mid release. You have to wonder about a fella who will take a deuce in public and neglect to use a lock when provided. Joe’s once again hasn’t failed to amuse me.

Love it! A little chaotic sometimes going to check out but it is what it is. I love how nice the employees are and I also appreciate the layout and wide aisles.

We love this place! The prices are decent with a variety of organic foods. The workers are very friendly and the store is well kept. Small store but it had everything that u might need

Update, moved from 1 star to 4 because of correction of fridge section and freezer food selection and value is best in town. I am leaving out the produce section and meat section for this rating! They are both still really terrible imo, and there is a great butcher shop at Haggen, or if you’re feeling really fancy, check out Western Meats in Tumwater, some of the best butchers around.
(((((I started shopping here again! I still come here for wine and booze. They remain the best place to buy wine that is delicious and under $ 5. World Market, Target, Haggen are all more expensive. I didn’t like shopping here when I cooked fresh, but have recently taken a liking to their frozen food section since I am so busy and I need a meal that I can just put in the oven. The only gross thing I’ve found is their Eggplant Parmesan. It is clearly not prepared correctly and seems to be just fresh eggplant, frozen without draining the water or frying it! Gross! Their variety and value are substantially more noticeable when it comes to frozen foods, and you want something good and healthy and not that Annies overpriced crap. I noticed their fridges are colder and tried their half and half again. It wasn’t as good as the local creameries but it did not spoil as quickly. They should put doors on the dairy section. Target has doors on all of their freezers get a clue people, TJ’s is supposed to be pretend sustainable at least. Also the people here are so friendly they always make it a pleasant trip. So I am taking away my 1-​star rating since I think they have improved the fridge temperature and have found a lot of value in their frozen foods compared to every store in town)))))

Their produce section is terrible but who needs it when Haggen (Top) is across the street. I used to go here for convenience food which is very innovative and booze, mostly. Their prices can’t be beat on booze. Their meat department and dairy section are subpar. I think their fridges are not cold enough because their half and half spoils over and over again within a few days, long before the due date, and ive had food poisoning from their chicken which smells — off. Even when their half and half is okay it still tastes slightly bitter. yuk!
This used to be the only place I shopped. I was a big fan. Yes they have an unconditional return policy, which means nothing to me. It costs me $ 3 in gas to return half and half that cost like $ 2, and i have to go without coffee in the morning.
They’ve gone downhill since the German conglomerate acquired them. I was going to give them higher stars but I realize I don’t shop here anymore. if you like interesting and unusual pre-​prepared food go here, but if you’re a cook, forget it.
Oh, except for two things — their saffron and oregano is dirt cheap. Top overprices all their spices so you can get that here.
But having 3 – 4 items that are worth buying and utter crap everywhere else that spoils quickly makes you little more than a mini mart for eccentrics.
They advertise on the front door they source locally «look for the pacific northwest logo» but I tried it once and only found like 3 things. I hate false advertising that preys on people’s guilt.
We’re all parasites but i’d like it not to be another tool they can use to make money off of when we do wake up and realize what a parasitic species we are.

I love Trader Joe’s! It’s such a bummer they don’t have one in Lacey… Whenever I’m near the Capital Mall, I make sure to stop by.

Love this place! Many different items and lots of organic food for cheap. The meats and cheeses are great too. The people working there are very friendly. I recommend coming early if you can, this store is madness around 3 – 5.

The prices are decent, but add up quickly — especially if you’re in the mood to try new things. Which you can always find something new and interesting or appealing.
My favorite is the macaroni and cheese — 5 cheeses. Delicious! There is also a really good mushroom flatbread that is basically a pizza, delicious. Their 4 mini pizzas for $ 5 is delicious. Puff Cheetos? Delicious.

The layout is kind of weird. Don’t know if its normal. Aisles seemed like they were on a diagonal.

I typically refer to Trader Joe’s as «The Happiest Place on Earth». I’m pretty sure someone else has the copyright on that phrase, but I get pretty excited when I know I’m going shopping here.
Great products, low prices, stuff you can’t find anywhere else, and a very dynamic workforce. They also have a great wine selection.
There’s so much to look at, especially in the aisles that have the frozen goods in troughs below and other things on the shelves above. Sometimes this is difficult when it’s busy, which is often. But hey, patience is a virtue, and if this is their only discernible flaw, I can handle that.

Amazing salads! The best lunch in Oly cheap on the go! The wine is amazing helpful experienced friendly people who are enthusiastic about being there are ready to help. Try the new products that come in the flyer. A great variety that is always changing. How wonderful it is to have a trader joes in Olympia! Best trader joes I have been to. Still has that small town atmosphere if you want big go back to Cally!

The biggest reason I love this place is ITS A SMALL SIZED GROCER. I’ve noticed in the last several years, my tendency towards major indecisiveness and even anxiety with too much choice in grocery stores. It is visually paralyzing for me to stand in front of 60 types of cereal at Hagan’s. And then turn the aisle to try and hunt for my favorite toothpaste in a sea of toothpastes. Sometimes more choice is not better it’s just more and grocery stores the size of coliseums are obnoxious.
So I’m 100% behind companies that realize this and I’m glad Trader Jos keeps things streamlined and simple in their stores. I love the layout. And I am partial to the dark chocolate coconut bonbons, the wine section, and the dried wasabi peas.

I did not realize the fabulousness that is Trader Joe’s until recently. Their produce is mediocre, but their meats and dairy sections are fantastic, especially if you want organic/​free range. Very affordable, compared to other places. They also have a huge selection of dried and frozen foods at affordable prices. They have lots of organic items of all types. Bottom line, go here for non-​perishables and meat.
