Why on earth is there only one Starbucks in the Village??? This one is small and the service is VERY slow. There always seems to be a SUPER long line(that moves VERY slow). There should be at least 3 Starbucks in the Village! You should also upgrade your staff to get the line moving.

Not organized !! when you open at 7 start preparing the coffee and food at 6:30, not at 7. Hello?!

Poor service. Three of us waited in line while eight employees stood behind the counter chatting. The girl at the register didn’t acknowledge any of us; she was too busy counting the tips from the tip jar. This place needs new management!

Ok, so this place is hecka busy and it’s just a normal starbucks… they don’t take coupon redemption because they’re not a corporate store… HOWEVER! it’s my birthday and I was trying to redeem my birthday free drink. The girl at the counter said«no, sorry no coupon» and then the manager said«give her a free one for her birthday»… therefore, they get a 5 star rating from me. It’s the most I can do other than tip…

2 stars because I got the 2 things I ordered. But I give a very low rating due to service. Starbucks must make ridiculous margin off the close to $ 10 slice of pumpkin loaf and medium green tea latte I ordered. Fine– if they’re going to be nice. Thomas, a «barista» either was hungover and had forgotten has manners or never had them in the first place. He was curt and said«what» instead of «excuse me» or «pardon me» to the person in front of me who was about to pay an ungodly amount of money for some small order. He said«are you going to pay for that?» Vs «excuse me, may I please take payment for your order?» I know, I must be the uppity type of person he clearly hates, for having these expectations of courtesy– but I see this polish as a part of the product when I am paying close to an hours’ wage to some earners in this country for my two things. And when the guy tells my two year old directly without saying it nicely or please that he should let go of the umbrellas that are leaning INSIDE against a window at 10am since the disorganized or lazy employees hadn’t yet put them in the patio area where it was already sunny and presumably open for several hours, I also get annoyed. He told the little kid, who doesn’t understand much yet(he is two!) that it is not safe for him to touch these outdoor umbrellas that’re just leaning next to the waiting area inside vs asking me or vs moving the store’s safety hazard where they should be. Now I understand that as a parent I am responsible for helping with the safety if my children but when I am in a Starbucks waiting 5 minutes for my latte and the kid is right next to me, I have done an ok job. Starbucks can do a much less $hitty job by moving the big heavy umbrellas somewhere else when they open the doors hours before to avoid clearly a safety hazard.

Being the only Starbucks in the entire of Wanderlust this place is insanely busy! While there for 5 days I stopped by a couple of times during a drinks run for the Quest team and encountered long lines. Despite the long line it did move quickly and I found the fridges to be well stocked with the energy drinks that were needed working 10 – 12 hour days. Staff were friendly and upbeat despite what appeared to be a never ending stream of customers, all of these poor reviews I can only assume people get grumpy as f*** without their Caffeine.

Poorly stocked for the busy 4th of July weekend. After standing in a very long line(not to many breakfast options in the area), once I finally get to the register, I find out they are sold out of most food items. You would think management would have planned better!

The first(and only?) ski-thru Starbucks. With that said *disclaimer* I’ve never patroned here and I never plan to because whenever given the option I will choose to support small, local businesses(a dying breed in Squaw Valley, but we’ll save that for another review) and there’s one close-by. Regardless, this display of consumerism and corporate America and overcharging the general public earns 5 stars in my book because the fact that this is a ski in, ski out Starbucks makes it pretty much the coolest Starbucks ever.

Maybe it’s the late summer, but I was in line for 15 seconds, was treated to great conversation by a smiling girl behind the counter. And my coffee was done by the time I’d paid. Great! On a side note: I stopped by Wildflour Bakery, but it’s all boarded up — in the summer/early fall, it seems.

I swear prices here are higher than I’m used to back home… I don’t remember ever paying over $ 6 for a venti vanilla latte at home. Everything in the squaw resort is expensive though, so I’m okay with paying so much for my Starbucks here. There wasn’t a line when I came in, however, if there were, I probably wouldn’t have waited. The service was fast and friendly. However, they didn’t have a very good assortment of pastries and things to eat. I noticed they don’t have a Starbucks app scanner. Meaning whenever you use your Starbucks app to pay, they have to manually type in your number. That might be why there is often a line. It’s much easier to scan the barcode than to have to type it in. I like that this location has ample seating, cushy chairs and a little fireplace. If it’s nice outside, you can sit by the fire pits too :)

There was very slow service. The guy making drinks was a bit surly. They also didn’t have any napkins available, even when asked. But that’s what you get when you have a great location, captive consumers and presumably a manager who cares more about keeping employment costs down than about meeting consumer expectations given their brand’s reputation.

The line is ridiculous. How did every other Starbucks figure it out but this one is somehow unable? Took forever. the prices are more than they should be, as well. I suggest going to any of the other several coffee places to get your fix

The staff here was friendly and fast for the crowds. I came here a few times when visiting Squaw Valley for the weekend with a group of friends, and in 2 days with 5 people they screwed up our drinks twice, but they were very apologetic and replaced the orders. I found that the drinks were REALLY good… maybe they use more syrup haha. Prices are of course jacked up through the roof, but we generally came here to eat lunch and have a nice warm beverage, so it was also kind of paying to eat our own lunches in a nicer area than on the cobblestone halfwalls around the town. I didn’t try to connect to the internet or eat any of the food, so maybe those things were sub-par. But for a quick lunch-coffee experience before hitting the slopes, this Starbucks was a good choice for us.

Probably the slowest Starbucks I’ve ever been to. The ski bums are the baristas and move at an absolutely glacial pace. Dear lord I’m never coming here again.

Slow, holy cow, service is so slow. Staff is full of Peruvians and Argentinians — lovely people, I love to visit those countries, but maaannnn they are just slow. Not many options for grabbing a coffee to go around tho — so u stuck

Down in the Village there is a Starbucks with some of the friendliest baristas I have ever met. Traffic wasn’t very heavy this shoulder weekend, so all the things we expected to be out were behind the counter. There was adequate seating and free wifi, which we used to check our posts from the High Camp earlier in the afternoon. One of the baristas expressed admiration for my Golden Gate National Parks jacket. We ordered my usual double tall nonfat latte for me and a tall Pikes Place roast for My Lady, for a total of $ 7.03, and then we enjoyed reading local newspapers and browsing the internet in our own sunny alcove.

When I checked in here and saw this place only had two stars, I thought, it can’t actually be that bad! I mean, it’s a Starbuck’s right? The two stars(or maybe 1) are right on par. The service, as everyone says, truly is terrible. They always seem confused, hungover, unhappy to be there, and frazzled. They also don’t really know the Starbuck’s menu. Seriously, it’s not that long! Even every customer knows the menu… There is also barely any seating, as everyone mentions. They recently remodeled Squaw so I’m not sure why they didn’t expand this Starbuck’s or even just add a second one, in Starbuck’s style. One on every corner right? Basically, they grossly underestimated the volume this store does and it can’t handle it. Also, it’s the only coffee shop at the base of the mountain so you don’t exactly have other options.

The only Starbucks in the Village, they reap the business as there aren’t any other coffee spots in walking distance. Always a long line, service is slow, space is small, and not much food. They didn’t have anything beyond a couple of slices of banana bread and oatmeal both times I went mid-week. Better to bring your own and brew it in the room.
