Bag N Save

Good olé Bag ‘N Save. I actually remember when this store was a Target back in the ‘90s sometime. Since then, that «other Target» changed into this «other Bag ‘N Save.» Now, with the closing of the 76^th and Dodge BNS, this is the only Bag ‘N Save near me.
The store is clean and the staff are nice. Overall, it’s well-​stocked and will meet your basic needs when it comes to supermarkets. Still, the deli has been on decline for a few years, closing earlier and offering less fresh-​made goods (I used to work at another Bag ‘N Save deli years ago). And the frozen food section is massive but set up in a weird, awkward way.
Honestly, the not-​so-​recent-​anymore corporate takeover/​merger of all Bag ‘N Save and No Frills supermarkets hasn’t upped the quality of any of its stores, save a couple Supermercado Nuestra Familia locations (also part of the SpartanNash buyout). And that’s a shame, because they were never even the best stores in the Omaha in the first place.

They have almost everything you need here. And cheap. This is review 187 and I thought it would be killer, but really Bag and Slag is just an easy place to get groceries. Rotella’s bread. Yep. A decent Latino aisle and offering of Thai and Asian spices, etc. are ok.
The thing that gets me is the layout. I know there has been studies and you want to greet the consumer with produce, then meat, then dairy, blah blah blah.
I come here for staples and beer. I have to walk halfway around to get them.
I usually end up with an underage teller and have to wait for a 19+ year old to ring my beverages.
Prices are not too far of a savings from the others so it is a matter of just running down the street because I forgot something at hyVee
TL:DR; They have stuff you need. Prices reflect your desire to travel less

I just hate the way this store is set up. Deli side right when you walk in. Dry grocery goods from right to left then chemicals and other products in the middle and then more grocery items. frozen and dairy on back wall. Its to damn hard to find anything in this store. Maybe if they had a map it would be alot like being on a treasure hunt to find things. I was contently walking back and forth trying to find a item. Just didn’t make sense. Please figure this out. Thanks

Clean and the staff is great! The staff is very helpful when I need something and cannot find it they are so helpful in taking me to the item. I left one of my bags there today with kids things can be a little hectic, but they actually found me loading things into the car and brought the bag to me. Thank you.
