The Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping course is a 10 week conditioning program designed to help you quickly get to a much higher level of fitness. We combine the 3 pillars of health… cardio, strength training, and nutrition.
Fitness kickboxing brings together rhythmic martial arts and bag training in a high energy environment. Resistance training with bands and medicine balls will help reshape your body by building lean muscle. Good nutrition is all about feeding your body the fuel it needs to perform. We’ll teach you how to eat right, and eat the foods you love.
The Farrell’s 10 week course includes 10 weeks of classes, gloves and wraps, a coach to encourage and guide you, and a team to push you. You also have the chance to win $ 1,000. Your coach and teamates will lead you through a journey of transformation and our instructors will motivate you to reach for your best at every workout. Join us and begin to feel healthier, stronger… better!
History
Established in 2001.
Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping was created in Des Moines by Lance Farrell, who has been studying, teaching and sharing his passion for martial arts since 1980. In 1989, he opened his first full-time Taekwondo school.
Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping, which began in 2001, incorporates the kicking skils, flexibility exercises, and positive messages of Taekwondo along with nutrition and resistance training. By simultaneously applying principles from 3 disciplines, the average person is able to acheive higher results.
Since it’s start in Des Moines, FXB has expanded throughout the midwest, and now has 32 stores across the country.
If you follow this program, it will work. It’s not easy. Exercising 6 days a week, and eating 6 times a day is very hard for most people to get used to. When you start to see the benefits and turn your routine into a habit, it becomes a natural part of your life. Once the routines becomes a part of your life, so will the results.

Business Owner
I began the Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping challenge in March of 2008 as a way to get back into shape and prepare for summer. In my initial 10 weeks, I fell in love with the program. It was hard work, but it was fun! The team of people at Farrell’s really made the experience what it was for me… the coaches and instructors were incredibly knowledgable, and their excitement was contagious.
Once I completed the initial program, I moved on to become a coach and instructor. I loved helping other people meet their goals, and begin to live a healthier life. Soon, my husband began seeing all of the benefits of Farrell’s and joined me. We decided that we wanted to have a bigger part in all of this, and purchased our store on 120th & Fort.
To me, the best part of my job is all of the different people that I get to interact with each and every day. I want my students to be successful… to be their «best» self.
