Came here last night with my dad and my cousin for the UFC(Lawler/Condit) fight. $ 5 and a wristband to get into the part of the bar showing the fight. No biggie. However it started bad when we sat there for LITERALLY an hour and 15 minutes with no service. There was a half drank old beer sitting on our table from whoever was there before us that no one ever bothered to pick up. There were 3 waitresses walking around the room and it was by no means«packed.» No one stopped to ask us if we wanted anything to drink or eat. There was a table in front of us with two men and the tall waitress with the long bright red hair kept walking over to their table and SITTING down for minutes at a time flirting with them and watching the tv. We couldn’t see anything. I kept having to move my chair around her to see the TV. This happened ATLEAST ten different times. If she had time to sit and talk to them about nonsense on her shift she should have had the time to notice our table was totally empty and checked on us. Finally my dad flagged someone else over and she brought us each a drink and a mediocre quesadilla. I was so annoyed. At the lack of service and the red haired waitress. Completely rude and unprofessional in my opinion. I won’t come back here for another UFC fight. I’ll call around and find somewhere else to watch it. Bad experience.

This place could be so much better if they tried a little more. Great set up and sports on the tv. I requested for(im not kidding) 6 different beers and they ran out of all of them. Servers were great. I am blaming management for not having any of my fav. beers on tap.

If you have a drink section called ‘hit it and quit it’ and ‘mind erasers’ you probably aren’t an establishment I am going to frequent regularly, but if I were out for my 21st birthday I am sure I would find these concoctions genius. Fox and hound has been around for a long time and does have ample space, pool tables and ping pong. Service and food is just average. Convenient location and reasonable prices.

They’re a pretty solid 3 stars across the board, it seems. I have no genuine complaints but I wouldn’t make a trip out for much more than their $ 2ALL tap beers on Tuesdays. \ I visited, prepared to know that it’s not truly an English Pub. Yea, they probably should change their name… but it’s a badass looking sports bar I can’t ever complain about nice pool tables, pinp pong, and big TVs. It’s an open layout with lots of wood trim. Mostly high top tables so get there early if you want one of their few booths. Decent prices, a varied menu from things like flatbreads to tacos to salads to a ribeye entrée. They were very vegetarian friendly for us. Good weekly specials(Tuesday being the best by far!). Typical bar food, probably a notch better than average, I’d say. We came for a busier-than-usual-lunch on Veteran’s Day. We had really good service and the waitresses seemed to be trying their hardest. I read past reviews. I can understand some of the patrons’ complaints but really… it’s a sports bar. As far as sports bar are concerned, I’m satisfied. Come on a Tuesday!

Had a very good lunch here today, got the 4 hour cooked BBQ on a sandwich with tots. Service was pleasant, and attentive. This experience was a 5⁄5 for me. My second time going after my first was also a pleasant experience! As others have pointed out, it is a sports bar so keep that in mind!

Absolutely love this place. Massive beer selection by tap and by bottle, four 9 ft and four 10 ft pool tables(pro size not your standard 7 ft bar table that takes quarters) and 2 ping pong tables, free pool and pin pong Sunday night and $ 2 draws Tuesday nights. Did I mention the massive tap selection? If you’re hungry look at the sandwiches and nothing else. Not saying the other selections aren’t good but each and every sand which on their list is AMAZING. Kitchen is open until 2 am, my absolute favorite factor about this place. 1230 am roles around and you can still order a steak. Almost as many tvs as beers playing every sporting event, pay per viewing every event worth watching, and nights without a good sporting event you can watch the music videos to the songs playing. As with any sports bar you can expect some level of inconsistency with the staff. That being said the current staff is pretty phenomenal overall. There are many amazing individuals who work here. Occasionally there is a bad hire but that’s the risk of the business. As a bartender I’m a service snob. However since coming under new management recently(for a year or so) I’ve been beyond impressed with the quality this establishment has been pushing out. The gm is incredibly involved in his restaurant and you can see it in his staff and product.

Service was awful … manager did not know what was going on. Waitress was overwhelmed. Had to forage for knives and forks and condiments. Food was pretty good though when it finally arrived.

Ended up spending 5 hours in the area because of car problems. I went in for lunch and was promptly greeted by two servers enthusiastically welcoming me. Sat at the bar and was warmly greeted by Shawna Gibson, a very pleasant and upbeat bartender. I ordered the fish tacos with chips & salsa for lunch. The food was quick and very good. I drank a lot of ice tea with my lunch and my glass was constantly being refilled by Shawna. After 90 minutes I went to pick up my car and on the way out I was treated warmly and asked to return sometime. Unfortunately I had to return about 45 minutes later because my car would not be ready for 3 more hours. I received the same enthusiastic welcome upon my return and Shawna thanked me for returning, sorry to hear about my car issues. It could have been a very long afternoon but Shawna maintained her friendly excitement at each interaction and was very attentive. Because of the staff here my afternoon turned out to be a very pleasant experience. Thank you for making a rough day pleasurable. When I’m back in town I will return.

Fox and Hound is kind of just one of those places. You aren’t gonna get the best food in the world but that’s fine, you know they’ll have plenty to drink and everyone will leave happy. To me it compares to a Brothers. It is big and open and there is plenty to do. It serves its purpose as a place for large groups, small groups and anything in between for those of age. Definitely not a place to take the kids baseball team or family for supper. Brat

How many times have I left this bar not tipping the waitress and being happy I didn’t on the way out… Twice. The staff is horrible. Enough said. It takes 30 minutes to get one drink and another 40 to just get the second one. Every time a friend or relative brings up the fox and hound we opt out of the event. Now I know both of these visits came while we were watching UFC at the bar and it was packed, but hey at least they get 1 star and not 0… oh wait you can’t give out 0 stars.

This was one of the weirdest dining experiences of my life. It took our food more than one hour to arrive. At one point there was literally no food coming out of the kitchen, and everyone in the restaurant was staring hungrily at the kitchen door. Also, the place was far from packed — I’d say it was barely half full and by no means slammed. After an hour of waiting(yes, we timed it because we were so incredulous) the servers finally brought out everyone’s food. I figured something had gone down in the kitchen — either extremely understaffed or a stove wouldn’t light? But not a peep from any of the servers, who acted like nothing was out of the ordinary. Couldn’t we at least get a «sorry for the 67 minute wait?» The food tasted meh, but my party chowed down like it was our last meal. We then waited about fifteen minutes after our plates were cleared for our bill. Finally, I had to track down our server, who was hanging out at the bar, doing nothing. Once again, no acknowledgement that we were getting horrible service, no «I’m so sorry we are short staffed,» nothing. I honestly don’t think she got it – that waiting for over an hour for food is not typical, that she was completely ignoring us, etc. Just plain weird. All the other servers seemed pretty much in the same camp and were also ignoring their tables. My fiancé says we should abide by the«two visit» rule and try it one more time before completely writing it off. I am pretty merciless but it takes a lot for me to actually write a bad Unilocal review. I feel strongly this warranted it.

The Fox & Hound is our regular after work place for drinks and apps. The formula is simple: Beer + liquor + anything that can be cooked in a deep fryer, all served by attractive women showing off their cleavage. It works for what it is. The bar area is bookended by two large dining rooms, one that is typically used for parties. It’s a large space, and there seems to always be a crowd gathered here after work. The food is nothing to write home about, but if you’re swilling back several pints of beer, you’ll probably enjoy grazing on all the junk food they have to offer. The drunken chicken tenders with wing sauce and ranch dressing are my favorite. Extra points for the service, which is generally attentive, and usually includes someone opening the door for patrons entering and exiting the building.

So let me begin by saying that my rating can be broken down as follows: Beer selection: 5 stars Atmosphere: –20 stars I’m not sure if there’s any legal retribution for inaccurate restaurant name, but there should be. This is about as far from what I expected of an «English Pub & Grill» as it gets. They should call it «Fox and Hound Nightmarishly Loud And Annoying Sports Bar Thing». You can’t hear yourself think in this place. That said, it is one of only two bars in town I’ve found that has Boddington’s Pub Ale on tap, and that warrants a few extra stars from me. If you can put up with the noise and moderate-to-bad service, you’ll love the beers.(and the food is okay too). I try to steer clear, myself.

I have been to the Fox & Hound several times in the past and found the food to be adequate and the beer selection to be good. However, when I visited today they had changed their menu significantly and I struggled to find anything that even sounded good. When I received my food I was very disappointed! I don’t know how you can mess up a side sale but they managed it… it was inedible. Needless to say I left extremely disappointed and hungry. I had a work party planned there for later this month… which I will be canceling. The atmosphere and availability of pool tables will never make up for the terrible food! Do not go here unless you want to be sorely disappointed.

I’ve been to Fox & Hound several times over the years and while never to of mind when looking to watch a game or grab some beers with some buds, it’s always a solid option. I’ve noticed some subtle changes in the place over the years for the better. First, the beer selection is pretty good. I believe they have around 30 beers on tap. The food while not great has gotten better. It may even be slightly better than your average bar fare. It also gone to more of a sports bar theme. I’m not sure why the insist on calling it an English Pub. They should drop it from the name and just call it Fox & Hound Sports Bar and Grill or something similar.

Fox and Hound serves it purpose as a place where all walks of life can gather to feel relatively comfortable as they converse with a few coworkers or buddies over beers and pub grub. Throw in a some pool and table tennis, and you can definitely waste away a few hours here with ease. On my most recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised with their selection of draught beers. It was well-curated and featured something for everyone — malty to hoppy crafts and your typical lineup of domestics. I had no complaints. The Friday night crowd was mostly younger people in their ‘20s. Since this place is so freakin’ huge, we had plenty of space to stake our claim to some space at the bar and catch up. Is it at all like an actual English pub? No. It’s more in tune with the likes of a Wetherspoons — i.e. a large somewhat gimmicky chain with reasonable prices and fairly decent food and drink options. While the Fox and Hound is never on the top of my list of places to go for a couple drinks, I know circumstances will lead me here in the future. And I’m all right with that.

Farrah from Teen Mom«worked» here and i guess that’s where they’ve set the bar. I tried to ask about certain drinks on the menu, I was here for a girls night and didn’t want to spend a fortune so I wanted to get a rough idea of drink prices and whatnot and the server couldn’t tell me ANYTHING. Like, not even a ballpark. The food is fine, but the service is usually kind of abysmal. At least on certain nights of the week. I did give it 3 stars because food, beer pong, and we had a friend’s going away party here and they were actually on their A game that night, for the most part.

It’s a sports bar masquerading as an English pub. I think the company finally realized no one thinks of it as an English pub and that’s why in many locations they’ve changed names from«Fox & Hound English Pub & Grill» to «Fox & Hound Sports Tavern.» Food is okay. I love their Pretzel Stix and they’ve got some other good items on the menu. It’s pretty decent for what is essentially bar food. The service on the other hand is horrible. I’ve tried dining at their other locations in different states and the problem is always the same. Service is consistently bad. Sometimes it’s the wait staff, sometimes it’s the kitchen speed, and sometimes it’s both. That said, the food just isn’t good enough to overcome their poor service. There are a LOT of places I can get pub food, so why deal with shortcomings at Fox & Hound? I do wonder how many of the votes(Like or Dislike) for this place are in reference to how good of a bar it is and how many are in reference to how good of a restaurant it is. You’re really looking at two totally different experiences here. Having a few pints at 11PM on a Thursday is probably a much different experience than having a burger at noon on a Tuesday.

My first visit was years ago when the pub first opened in the pre-Yelp days, so I did what any self-respecting foodie would do… I never returned. Recently, for reasons beyond my control, I found myself back at the Fox and Hound, thus ending my decade-long avoidance of this establishment. During my visit, it all came rushing back to me. Despite the large space with ample tables, televisions and waitstaff, it wasn’t enough to compensate for the mediocre food and service. Ordering copious amounts of food and beverage should never be that effortful, nor should paying your tab. It’s not often that we end up spending less than anticipated on a night out, so perhaps I really should be thanking Fox and Hound for keeping us all waaaaay under budget.

I went here twice during my stay and had both a 4 star experience and a 2 star, so we’ll split the difference and call it 3. Service was decent both times, which was good. The bar was super loud, you really couldn’t hear anything from the person right next to you without screaming. The first time we were there was $ 2 Tuesday, so all the beers we drank were $ 2, which was nice. I also got a sandwich called a Fox Chicken or something like that. It was a buffalo breaded chicken breast with a hot sauce on it. It was excellent. The 2nd time I got just regular chicken tenders, which were breaded chicken and they were just plain awful. Super greasy and dripped, and the breading felt more like a shell of armor around the chicken than anything else. I literally took a bite and the whole piece of chicken just fell out of the breading.
