Established in 1977.

Gerst had humble beginnings, but has grown into one of the country’s premier repaint specialists.

Mike Gerst started the company in 1977, working out of his reliable, old station wagon. Mike found immediate success because of his attention to detail and his focus on developing efficiencies, all things that his customers appreciated.

The company has been featured in Better Homes & Gardens, several national painting and wallcovering magazines, Omaha Magazine, and the Omaha World Herald. Gerst regularly receives honors for excellence, winning the coveted «Best in Omaha» award five years running.

Mike Gerst started the company in 1977, working out of his reliable, old station wagon. Mike found immediate success because of his attention to detail and his focus on developing efficiencies, all things that his customers appreciated.

Mike maintains excellent industry relationships with a national network of premier contractors, and also provides their staff of nearly 30 employees with ongoing training from the best suppliers in the industry. All of this allows Gerst to stay on the cutting edge of technology and industry trends, while maintaining a firm commitment to traditional craftsmanship.

Julie Gerst is the company’s full-​time Color Consultant and has an immense portfolio. She assists clients with color selections, wallpapering and finishes, and provides follow-​up consultations to ensure complete satisfaction.
