It’s an older place don’t expect Chinese and sushi and international cuisine but they have good tamales and enchiladas and everyone there is friendly and it’s clean

I’m torn between a 3 and 4. This location is pretty old and dated. I love the newer updated Hyvees in town that have the organics section and health section as well as the liquor stores attached– and this one is so old that it most definitely does not have those newer additions. However, due to location I find that the meat selection here is freaking awesome for my cooking needs. Being that I cook a lot of traditional asian dishes, I need sweet meats, oxtails, tripe, etc. I thought the only places to get these items in town was the Asian store(very nearby to this location) or Mexican grocery stores. It’s cool that I can now go to hyvee and get more of my weekly ingredients in one stop without having to stop a 4 different stores every weekend. The meat here is also extremely fresh.

Friendly customer service. Older HyVee – looks to be built in late 1980’s to early 1990’s? Not sure. A wide variety of foods, from American to Spanish to some Asian types of foods. The only thing I have a problem with is the bathrooms… They are terribly disgusting and the smell is rancid. The old men that use the male bathrooms completely take over the restroom with their putrid bad odors and manners so high they spread feces all over the toilet… Thanks old men for completely encasing the bathroom with your smells, feces and urine… Oh and those of you old guys that actually wash your body in this restroom… More power to you… Hope you get on Tosh. O or something.

I found myself here by accident after trying to go to the Lithuanian Bakery too early one day. I went in for some garlic bread and came out with three bags of groceries and a mylar balloon(on a very windy day!) for around $ 60! The floral department were very nice and rang my whole order up when I picked up the balloon. There is a small but good organic produce section. I would go back if I found myself in the neighborhood again.
