These just might be the best donuts in Omaha. They are bit pricey, but worth every penny.

We’ve been here a few times, and although my kids love it I would say it’s just average. The coffee & rolls are ok but nothing to write home about. VERY expensive for donuts!

Terrible service here. I’ve been here 3 times and every time takes at least 15 min. Also all 3 times the donuts I wanted they are always out. The only reason I’m not giving it a 1 star is the donuts are pretty good.

Great donuts and quick service. They also have gourmet type donuts like red velvet donuts :) They’re white chocolate mocha’s are good also! Recommend getting with the extra shot of espresso :)

As if donuts needed to get any better, LaMar’s has a drive through! The only thing that would make LaMar’s THE best — longer hours ;) ;)

There are two absolute must haves in my life: good Mexican food and a solid donut joint. We recently moved to Omaha and are currently on the lookout for both. When we asked our neighbors about donuts, they all said one thing: LaMar’s. So on a recent Wednesday morning while putting off unpacking, I stopped in to get donuts for the family. As others have said, the parking lot is fairly tight and was full, even on a weekday morning. So, be patient and prepared. Once I stepped into the shop, I was pleasantly surprised at the selection of donuts. They had cake and yeast donuts of many varieties. We chose long johns, glazed, a cinnamon roll the size of a large plate, and a couple of cake donuts. The cake donuts weren’t great but everything else was fresh and delicious. The dozen was $ 15.99 but given the size and quality of the cinnamon rolls and long johns, that’s reasonable. The coffee was average, like from a convenience store. I wouldn’t rush back for a cup of joe. Overall, LaMar’s donuts are as good as it gets. We loved them(well, not the cake). The other stuff(e.g., parking, coffee) keep it from being a full five star experience. But if you want excellent donuts, check this place out.

My first love was a donut, and Lamar’s has brought me back to that same feeling! Red velvet with cream cheese frosting is everything(Sunday special). Along with the glazed donut holes. Plus they have a rewards system and I always seem to have a free coffee or donut waiting for me. Definitely my favorite place to splurge.

By far my favorite donuts but I agree with other posters, skip the coffee! If it weren’t for the coffee it would be a 5 star! I don’t buy donuts from anywhere else! It gets busy but it’s worth the wait!

Stick the the donuts. Coffee isn’t the best. But definitely some of the best donuts in Omaha.

We ordered a dozen assorted on our first visit in order to try a wide variety and left fairly impressed. With the exception of the devil’s food(which was dry) the donuts were fantastic. The apple fritter and twist were enormous too. The coffee though is just ok. We ordered 2 — the dark roast tasted burnt and the caramel macchiatto was a little weak and lacking in caramely-ness. Overall a good visit with quick service and we’ll be back the next time we’re in the area!

Best in town. I live across town off maple and drive all the way here because they’re worth it!

Five stars for the donuts and a cinnamon roll the bigger than my face. They are always super fresh tasting and soft. One star for the«coffee» and the caramel frappé that tasted like a chemical sugar storm. Drive through is busy in the morning and the menu board is hard to read with the speaker put right in front. Parking can be an issue and people get impatient. It’s also difficult to order donuts since there is no detailed listing of the options. Just get a cinnamon roll and skip the coffee. Your tastebuds will thank you.

This was my first trip to LaMars and I will say I was certainly curious about this place. I had past by it several times and had seen how busy it would get in the early mornings. We drove through the drive thru this day and I was so confused as to what to get, I had no idea what their donuts looked like or tasted like. I chose the knot donut and the LaMars bar chocolate fluff. The first donut I tried was the knot and if you can see from my photo it’s pretty huge! I had never seen a donut like this and perhaps my experiences with fancy/unique donuts are limited but this was a pretty rad experience for me! I love how generous they are with their donuts and the pricing, a little over a dollar, wasn’t too bad for what you get. The donut was delicious! It didn’t give me that weird feeling on the roof of my mouth like some donuts do. It had the perfect amount of glazed sugar to dough ratio. The second donut I got was the LaMars bar chocolate fluff. This was just as great! It’s pretty much a long john but bigger and the chocolate fluff was delicious! They definitely know how to put this yummy stuff in the long john because it was throughout the bar not just at the top! A little pet peeve of my in regards to filled donuts. Since I’ve been here I’ve been fondly thinking of the next time I can treat myself to their yummy donuts! I think that you will like them too.

When I walked in an employee was mopping the floor and on quick surveillance he seemed to be the only employee working. I thought to myself, please don’t let this dude go from mopping the floor to waiting on me with no hand washing in between. Sure enough he saw me, stepped behind the counter, grabbed a paper napkin, and said, «how may I help you». I politely asked him to wash his hands and he politely obliged. I ordered an Apple Fritter, Cinnamon Pecan Fritter and a long stuffed Chocolate Icing thingie. Let me just say the reviews are spot on! My wife and I tried the cinnamon pecan fritter and we both agree it was one of the best we’ve ever eaten PERIOD! BTW, I was gonna mention the guy by name but he appeared to be a young kid. He was very polite and washed his hands when asked. That’s all you can ask for so there’s no need to put him on blast via Unilocal

Did my research and tried to find the best donuts in the area. My first donut was the original glazed and I thought it was too doughy for my liking. I did enjoy it because it wasn’t overly sweet. My next donut was the French Crueler. This is by far my favorite type of donut and LaMars did not disappoint. It was extremely light, and soft, and was deliciousness with every bite. Hand down my favorite donut I had that day. Finally, the last donut was the Bavarian Crème filled long john covered in chocolate. Wasn’t the best, but I still finished the entire donut which must mean it wasn’t crazy bad. Was a bit disapointed overall but I would definitely come back and sample some of their other goodies.

We used to get LaMars in KC. And later in Lee’s Summit when they opened there. After moving to Omaha we were thrilled when they opened up on Maple@Eagle Run… And would drive up there to get them. Very sad when that location closed… but thrilled when they opened this new location off of Harrison. Is safe to say these are the largest donuts most people will ever see. They are also among the very best. There is really only one other real donut shop in town. However since LaMars is practically by our house… that’s my family’s usual choice. Old fashioned, glazed, lemon, jelly, cinnamon… all these are excellent but the favorite is always the chocolate frosted fluff bar. Heaven.

Let’s face it, I’m somewhat of a donut connseur and who better to judge the taste of a donut than this guy right here. I’m not from around these parts and told LaMars is a chain. I don’t typically like chain donuts, Dunkin, Winchells, these donuts were really good. I love cake style donuts and loved LaMars. If you like LaMars then you have to try Ronalds, and Dee’s donuts when in Las Vegas

I’m crippled by my need to still be childish. I called these warlocks up and told them I need 2 shark shaped donuts filled with raspberry by 9am the next morning. The next morning I picked up 2 shark shaped donuts filled with raspberry and a free 3rd one because they said it looked like a dolphin. I’m never getting donuts anywhere else. Eat up Minions!

I’m thinking if you don’t like LaMars doughnuts, you probably aren’t thrilled with doughnuts in general. As for me, I’m not a big fan of many types of doughnuts. I like a good glazed doughnut. Back in the day, Mr. Donut/Dunkin Donuts was the best in town, but those days are long over. Since then, we haven’t had a decent glazed doughnut ’til now. LaMars has, quite simply, the best glazed doughnut I’ve ever had. Not a soaking grease-bomb like Krispy Kreme. Not dry and flavorless like Winchell’s. Not mushy like the grocery doughnuts. Big, thick, just a bit chewy, with a light glaze, sweet but not too sweet. Yum. The fruit-filled doughnuts are equally good if you ask my wife, who adores the lemon variety. Even the cake doughnuts, not my usual favorite, are nice. And the best news is, unlike the stores in Lincoln, this location stays open ’til 7!
