I can’t imagine these reviews. Dr Luckasen is our family hero. In about 1975 he saved both of our little girls lives when they had toxic epidermal necrolysis. Many Drs were called by our pediatrician but ONLY Dr L knew what it was and how to treat. Now when he sees us, he warmly shakes our hands and on leaving pats us on the shoulder. Ten years or so after he saved the girls, our youngest went back to him complaining she was a zit monster. He chuckled and gave her a prescription and it worked. Later she had warts removed from her hand and while there we asked him who to see about her nose reconstruction. He recommended Dr Denenburg and he too was great. He’s done so much over the years for us. We love him.

Horrible doctor. Luckasen has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever experienced. Do not go to him! He does not let you finish sentences and answers your questions like you are an idiot. The nurse’s excuse for his behavior is that he has no children.

I took my 9 year old daughter to see Dr Luckasen today for some minor skin issues. He spent no more than two minutes in the room with us before handing out two prescriptions. In those two minutes he managed to irritate me to where I almost cried. He clearly didn’t care to listen to what I had to say. I absolutely will not be taking my daughter back to him. The nurse was very kind and tried to make up for Dr Luckasen’s rude demeanor. That’s the only positive thing I can say about our experience there. I will be taking my daughter to a different practice from now on.

Went to see him today for a suspicious spot on my leg. It turned out ok but I did have a suspicious mole on my back which he did have to shave off and send in.
He is excellent at what he does and answered the several questions about other skin issues that I asked him. If you don’t ask the question, he cannot answer it. Very professional and exacting; just what I want and expect in a physician.
I have been going to him off and on for years and taking my 92 year old father for years also.
You can go to a physician that will schmooze you, but that oft times indicates a lack of knowledge. For me, I choose a physician with medical knowledge over a showman.

The only positive thing I have to say is that my wait to see this doctor was minimal. He was in the room with my daughter and I for LESS than 2 minutes. I brought her in for acne-​he didn’t even LOOK at her! He came in, wrote up 3 prescriptions for her and said she will have acne the rest of her life. He didn’t explain what the rx was supposed to do or why he was prescribing it. It was a waste of time and a very frustrating experience.

The overall actuality of having the mole & skin tag removed was fine, but the bedside manner & disposition of Dr. Luckasen needs serious help. He is very blunt and sort of abrasive about an already delicate matter. I just found this office on Google and did not feel like researching others because I thought it would be the same $$ and procedure almost anywhere I went. I had 3 small moles & 1 skin tag I wanted removed and (I think) because I didn’t have insurance and the DR. said removing them was unnecessary & I chose to do it anyway – they had the receptionist come into my room, where I was in only my shirt and covered with a small medical sheet on my lower-​half, I had to get up & into my purse and get my total payment for services not even performed yet while she waited for me, with the door open! She came back in a few minutes with my receipt that I signed, still sitting barely clothed. Only then, did the DR. come back and remove the moles and the NICE nurse removed the skin tag… What did they think I was going to do — run out after having it done and say «Nope, I’m not paying»…Geez…I’ve had a moles removed before in Florida and they did not do it like that at all!!! I felt so degraded and low, like they thought I couldn’t afford it– They probably thought since I didn’t offer insurance or because I might look younger (and I’m not that young) to them that I might change my mind after services rendered-​who knows! I have never heard of such a thing or anyone ever even doing that! I will never go back here. I will research better next time and ask around for a nicer DR. and a different protocol office experience.

I don’t understand the other reviews. I’ve been seeing him for several years have been treated extremely well on every visit.

Did I mention that he made me cry? I could tell the nurse felt bad for me, but she was too afraid of him to say anything. Way to treat the sick, Doc.

I AGREE! Do not go see this man. I was treated so poorly by him that I was mad almost to the point of tears. I cannot believe he can get away with treating people the way he does.
