Find neighborhood families in this park. The playground is a creation of the Metcalfe-​Harrison Neighborhood Association. Designed to be a place for parents and younger children to gather, it serves its purpose. Families also gather for the September movie night in the park. Walkers fill the sidewalks surrounding the park, and the little free library is in active use.

This park is smallish but very nice. So nice it bares the namesake of the surrounding neighborhood. There’s a long, sloping green where people can sit and relax in the shade or run around and throw a football or something. A new playground was installed in recent years, so you’ll often see Metcalfe full of young families enjoying the day. Tucked away on the northwest corner of the park is a little garden with a sundial. Adorable.
In all, a very quaint park surrounded by the beautiful brick houses of the neighborhood.
