Relax The Back

I’ve been have super sore shoulders lately, mostly due to stress, but we ended up going here to get one of those pressure massagers. My husband said one of his friends had one and they said this is where they got it from. So, as we were actually traveling to go to Marshall’s, we saw Relax the Back and ended up going to purchase that pressure massager thing.
Upon entering, the salesperson was very helpful and friendly and was able to quickly find what we were looking for. Of course, since I’m sure they work off of a commission here, he also went on to try to sell us other things. We only went in for that massage thingy and that’s it, so we told the guy we were not looking for anything else. He wasn’t pushy or anything. Something I would have expected from here.
Not that it is a terrible place to shop, but I don’t like to be upsold something that is like $ 500 (inversion table). Especially when what I came in for was only $ 35 :)

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I went to the location on 78^th and Dodge, which i believe is the only location in Omaha. I bought a Tens unit, and at the time didn’t realize how marked up it was. After getting it home and doing research, i realized that the same item online on numerous websites was ¹⁄₃ of the price, so obviously I wanted to return it. Who marks up their items that much? On the receipt it clearly states that they do not accept returns for bedding, wedges, and pillows and that ALL other items are returnable/​exchangeable within 30 days. NOT THE CASE! I walked in the door and before I could even get to the counter, Patrick, the supposedly store manager acted as if I had a dead body in the bag. «Oh… no. you can NOT return that item!» As i got to the counter to explain to him that on the receipt it clearly states that I can return it, he began to insist that he told me at the time of purchase that it couldn’t be returned (which he did not). I told him I wouldn’t have bought it if he did actually say it was a non returnable item. He then said,“No, I did — and why would I lie for a $ 150 item?” As if he was saying he would for a more expensive item. Anyway. he wouldn’t hear what I had to say and gave me different reasons every time as to why I couldn’t return it. First it was sanitary — which doesn’t make sense, because the tens unit itself never touches my body. Then it was that I took the battery out of the plastic. Then it was that it’s a medical item. What? This whole experience left me dumbfounded. I’ve never been treated with such disrespect by a business and it’s employee. I’m the customer. and would have been a returning customer if it wasn’t for how Patrick treated me. How can this place stay in business Wow. never ever again.

Be very careful of this franchise — I believe they own multiple locations in Omaha. They have hidden fees for returning products — they will charge a restocking fee plus shipping. This is NOT disclosed at time of purchase. The owner and is very unpleasant to deal with — not customer friendly. I would not recommend doing business with them.
