Sol’s is one of the bigger chain pawn shops in Omaha, housing everything from bikes, lawnmowers, fine jewelry, musical instruments, and random household items. My knowledge of pawn shops and good deals is far from perfect, but based on watching some pawn stars on tv, its a pretty cool gig-​and can be pretty lucrative. It took me a long time to finally venture in here, even though I stop to get doughnuts next door quite often. I was not sure what the vibe would be when entering. It’s not quite as «junky» as the antique and collectible shops down in the Old Market, which I was sorta expecting. Staff were polite and greeted me, but didnt hover or become overbearing. It was also more organized than I thought it might be; well as organized as a pawnshop with random items can be! I didn’t purchase anything this time, but saw a few items of interest.
