History

Established in 2007.

The owner, moved from the Washington D.C. area to the Eastern Shore of Virginia in 2006. Having been a professional and licensed Interior Designer for 30 years, she decided to carry her passion for interior space planning and architectural design with her and opened Great Space, Etc. in Onancock, Virginia in 2007.

In 2010, Great Space Etc. became a LLC and expanded it’s offerings with the addition of a highly respected and talented designer with an extensive art and design back ground from the Corcoran Gallery of Art, American University and V.P.I. in the Washington, D.C. area and Sheffield School of Design in New York. Her specialties include the design and execution of outstanding window treatments and all other areas of interior space beautification.

At present, Great Space Etc. is a multi faceted Interior Design firm that is recognized on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and beyond as the première source for professional interior planning and design.

Meet the Business Owner

Katherine B.

Business Owner

Katherine graduated from Mount Vernon College in 1984 with a BA in Interior Design. In 1993 she earned her NCIDQ recognition as a licensed and accredited Professional Interior Designer. She earned her MA in Interior Design in 1996.

Her design experience was gained through employment with several prestigious Architectural and Interior Design firms in the Washington, D.C. area. Relative projects include commercial design projects ranging from law offices, health care facilities and banking operation centers. Her residential design work involves interior renovations including kitchens and bathrooms. Additionally, she creates beautiful interior transformations with furnishings, fabrics, lighting and finishes.
