(technically, this review is for the affiliated veterinary hospital on Main Street) If you love your pets, take them elsewhere. I could go on about how they overload old pets with unnecessary medications. I could talk about how roughly and rudely they treated both me and the cat, and how little they care about anything other than their bottom line. I could give you a thousand reasons these people shouldn’t be allowed to treat a pet rock, let alone a cherished member of the family, but I think the most telling fact — and the one that should have been my first warning sign — is that they can’t be bothered to remember my cat’s gender, even after several corrections. He does not have a unisex name, his gender is on the chart, and I’ve been emphasizing HE and HIM for half an hour, yet I get questions like«Is she eating all her dinner?» I was –this close– to yelling«My cat has a penis!» at the dumb bitch. Mine is not an isolated incident; I can think of at least two friends who have told me that they don’t think the vets here care or even know how to treat animals. If you love your pets — even if you just sort of like them as a friend — take them to Community Veterinary Center. Take them to a pediatrician. Take them to a janitor who watches Animal Planet. Just don’t take them to this awful place.
