Mane Street Cutters

History

Established in 1984.

Bob Stineford, a well known and likeable man and native of Oneonta, NY. He opened Mane Street Cutters in the early 80s. He opened the salon as a two story salon and after years of trying to maintain both stories, he decided to downsize and just keep the upstairs salon running for a little more intimate setting. He was able to stay on main street without the sidewalk windows for the town to know your getting your hair done. Years later he became business partners with Danya Crossman of Oneonta. Approaching retirement for Bob and Danya getting ready to move south as her kids are known grown, they sold the salon business to myself, Jill Smith and Kimber Rogers, January 1^st 2014.

Kimber and I (Jill) worked together in another salon in Oneonta, NY, when we soon realized it was time to move on and become self employed hair stylists. We both started working at Mane Street Cutters in December 2008. With the reputation of the salon and the well known client base already established there, we grew our business in no time flat Our salon has great work ethics between all stylists so no doubt when Bob and Danya were willing to sell, we jumped on the opportunity to keep a great salon running for many more years to come!
