Applepea Montessori Academy Of Ontario

We were so happy to find a Chinese owned Montessori and immediately signed my child up after her half day free session. I do like their curriculum like cooking, chopping food, doing a lot of arts and craft and my daughter was having so much fun everything I picked her up. She had learnt how to grow relationship with her little friends and teachers.
My daughter spent two months here. Even she had grown more polite here, we removed her from this school as the last time I picked her up there, her clothes were soaked in water and she was having chills. Went to talk to her teachers and none of them knew what happened to her clothes and one of them said she was having too much fun inside the restroom. Obviously children were not allowed to play inside restroom themselves for safety reason and she was not able to notice that. My child was sick and coughing 3 months since that day. Also we noticed she had diarrhea several times when she came back home and the owner explanation was that their AC is too cold. I often see toddlers crying without anyone paying attention to them when I drop off my kid, maybe teacher were overwhelmed with the large volume of children. Not to mention my daughter also got painful diaper rash the same day we found her clothes all wet. They promised they would improve but I have lost my confidence in them treating my beloved child like this. Kind of disappointing.

I would Give No stars if I could. My experience at this so-​called Montessori was horrific. This school is unsanitary, the teachers play favoritism with certain children, the administration front/​office assistant «Cheyenne» is rude, obnoxious and has no people skills. The curriculum that is taught at this school is obsolete. There is only one Montessori teacher, but she appears to be overwhelmed with the classroom of 30 children. The staff at this facility appears stressed out and overwhelmed with screaming children. There is no discipline or structure at this school. The children run around crying, most of them with dirty faces and buggers and the staff is either oblivious or they don’t care about the hygiene of your child or their needs. There is always a foul odor at this facility.
After one agonizing month, I removed my child from this facility. My child learned nothing but bad habits at this facility. My child is now at a real Montessori school learning structured curriculum and preparing for Pre-​K.

We are very happy with Applepea Montessori. We have two daughters, 1 in the toddler class, and 1 in the preschool class and both children love their teachers and fellow classmates. The facilities are so calming, clean, and it feels like home. We recommend Applepea to everyone.

We visited quite a few schools before sending my daughter to Applepea, I have to say Applepea is not the best one among all of them, however, its the only school that my daughter is willing to come down from me, walk around and play. I can tell the difference from her reactions, she was so nervous when we at other schools.
So we decided to send my 22 months daughter to Applepea, and so glad we made this decision. Teachers are nice and patient. My daughter loves to go to school every morning, and does not want to leave when I pick her up afternoon.
I would definitely recommend Applepea Montessori Academy to everyone.

Our 2 years old son has been at Applepea Montessori Academy since the opening of this school & we cannot be happier!
Their stuffs are very warm & nurturing. When I pick him up, his teacher at the toddler class tells me how his day was & what he worked on. My son loves her & runs to her every morning!
The owner and the director are both sweet and truly dedicated to this school. They really care about each child’s’ success. They often go to each class room and see how they are doing & interact with children.
The facility is very clean & organized. Each class room is equipped with many interesting Montessori materials, which our son loves because he enjoys learning there. He gets excited when he shows me how he plays with them.
The price is reasonable & potty training is included in the price ;-) But we chose this school for our son because of the quality of care.
The school also offers free Spanish & Chinese class! How great is that?
I researched and visited many schools. I am really glad that I took a chance on this new school!
