LKQ Pick Your Part

It is what it is a pick a part, it’s a get in get what u need kinda place, keep the line moving. They check you in and check you out going through your bags to make sure your not taking any engines or rims in your buckets or tool bags. God forbid u get away with a thousand dollars worth of parts in your fanny pack of tools. All In all if you’ve been to one you’ve been to umm all. I’ve come here for 2 different cars a 94 tercel and a 64 Ford they’ve had what I’ve needed every time thus far.

Great staff, good prices and well organized place! Found what u was looking for! Even took more than what I was supposed to buy.

Fun parts yard and they have many modern vehicles with lots of parts remaining. Use the website for general year and model check. We found the classics section was not so accurate.
Close to Ontario Airport area. Bring your tools — look at some YouTube videos to figure out what may be needed. If you need tools that may not have, there is a tool rental guy outside entrance.
We needed a little assistance loading, guys at front helpful and pleasant. Saw a forklift loading a motor in a pickup truck. Great first impression! Thank you LKQ staff!
Did not catch sales tax amt but less than 10%. Is a minimal core charge for items also on the website pricing. Pricing is good and matched their online quote

This place sucks. Don’t bother driving here.
All the cars are beat up and have no salvageable parts. Tax is high as well. They don’t have 50% off sales anymore, now it’s 40%. I recommend checking ebay first.

Awful service came late first day and now try to lower the original quote BLOCKED MY NUMBER when I asked to speak to a supervisor waited all day the se one day never came to pick up !! I’m so angry I’m contacting the better business borough this place need better business etiquette. Reporting your business license too for misconduct !!!

I love this place… Cameron is awesome most places you have to wait two or three days to get an order but my gas tank for ladybug came in the next day never knew you could order new parts from pick a part but i will do it again and the prices are very reasonable… thanks guys!!!

I came by here to look for a hood, i didn’t find one in the yard but cameron in the front found one for me in the back, he saved me a drive and the price was good too. finally someone that cares about their customers.

If you’re willing to dig for it… they probably got it here. They seem to have those hard to find items at this location. Probably because this location is tucked… out of the way in a industrial area. «Happy hunting»!!

Awesome place. I know it’s just a junk yard but it had exactly every last item I needed. This is my first time being at a pick apart so I’m amazed that the price I was charged was really cheap. I will come here if I need anything else.

Kelly and his team are great. They are by far the friendliest and most helpful staff of any of the Self-​serve yards in Southern California. Prices are reasonable and they have carts and a shuttle to make it easier for you to bring large items up front.
This Yard is at times busy, especially on ½ price days but nevertheless you feel safe and don’t have to worry to
The Euro Import car section is a bit small but their turnover is very fast.
All in all I always find something I need.

I like the Ontario yard the most. It’s safe here, large selection of vehicles, no body messes with you, I did see a homeless guy walking through one time, the cashiers are cool on the prices. Everybody that comes in has the same mission and that’s to find that part in good condition in order to keep their older vehicle operating. You have to check the website to see if the vehicle that you need the part from is in the yard, makes sense. I’ve been pretty lucky on finding many parts. On their website they have a price list for parts so there’s no misunderstanding when you go pay. It’s all the luck of the draw in finding your part, you have to get to the yard within days of the vehicle being available in the yard, otherwise there’s another guy just like you looking for that same part if you know what I mean. I’ve found stuff in good condition here that’s still usable such as tires, batteries, seats, interior parts, engine parts, wheels, doors, glass and so on. The best time to go is fall winter and spring because the weather is cool throughout the day. The 50% off sales are a zoo, guys like you and I are everywhere, one hour long lines to pay, when you get home you are tired, dirty and beat, your wife may not be to happy when you bring too many parts home, but it’s really fun and you get a lot of satisfaction if you’re a car guy.

Go here all the time when im looking for something and I cant find what im looking for at the local ond by my house… I go on a mission with hope on finding what I am looking for sometimes I get lucky and find it here and when I dont that means im gonna have too drive farther to the next pick a part located in Riverside

Haven’t been to PAP in years, now I remember why, they’re greedy as hell.
I just called their number and the to find out if they had any Jeep Wranglers in stock. The women (B word) that answered consistently told me that I had to pay their admission and to go find out myself. So in-​other-​words, waste my gas and time, pay my admission and find out they don’t.
She kept asking me if I understand how it works. I said, «yes, you pay admission (now $ 2), pick your part (s), take them off and pay for it.» She kept asking me that same question and kept telling me to go find out myself, over and over.
I asked if I could call the yard myself and she said, «no», even though Google showed the numbers to different yards.
I asked for her supervisor (Pam x7500) and she left for about 2 seconds and said she in a meeting. I said, «of course she is.» After I kept pressing and arguing with her she finally broke and said that the web site can show me the local current inventory. I said, «thanks, now we’re getting somewhere.» Did it really take that much for her to tell me that in the first place?
In the end it’s obvious that they’re just greedy and simply want our $ 2 admissions. This must add up to quite a bit and is how they stay open. They don’t care about my wasted time or building a happy customer relationship. It also reminded me of how I was treated, by the yard employees, years ago when I stopped going their. It’s a shame that bone yards aren’t what they used to be. Don’t be suckered into their admission. At-​least look at their inventory online first, if that’s even up to date. Personally, I’ll be giving another yard my business.

Something about the stench of this place was very disturbing, either it’s the various auto fluids leaking and melting together or the smell of death and decay from these beat up cars. The stock here seemed pretty good if you’re in the market for old common cars. Barely any parts for newer models or less common cars. My other half came here looking for a part for a Mitsubishi Lancer. There was one Lancer in the entire lot, but it was practically stripped down except for the seats. There were plenty of other Mitsubishi models, like the Galant, Mirage, and even the Eclipse. Tons of older model Hondas and Acuras.
The place is organized by American models, exports, size, and vintage. Not too bad, but this place was super busy when I went on a Saturday. We had to park across the street. The purchase line stretched out super far so I was sort of glad that we didn’t find the piece he needed because the line looked like it took forever. They search your bags on your way out.
Don’t forget to bring your tools.

when LKQ took over they change the web site and messed it all up. don’t get me wrong pick a part is great i find good parts that i can use. it’s just the web site. it use to show the classic car that were coming out. the date and a picture if the car. now you don’t see anything. it’s sucks! put it back the way it was.

LOVE THIS PLACE forget about how cheap the parts are and how much fun is take a part a car just for kicks. for 2.00 I can spend all day here. he wife and kids have NO DESIRE to join me to its a nice peaceful few hours of ME time.
I only wish they keep the online inventory more updated it usually 2 – 3 weeks behind real time and by the first week a car is pretty much torn apart and other than engines parts is trashed

A lot of posters complain about the staff here but I was actually very happy with the service I received. If was fun searching for parts. But like most people here say, it’s best you know what you’re looking for.

but of course i insisted & it turned out to be kinda fun…
it was like a scavenger hunt.
it was pretty funny seeing how people carried their tools
i saw buckets & lots of rolling backpacks ha ha.
not so many girls.
the guy at the check out said he would give us a part for free so that was a cool deal.
& they did have hand washing stations… but they were disgustingly dirty.
I suggest you take your own soap and water.

Like the other pick-​a-​parts, if you know what you’re looking for you can get a good deal. It’s no Wal-​mart, but a great place to experiment in taking things apart and finding that silly sensor that is $ 5 instead of $ 250 new :) The prices are consistent with LA, though are too expensive if you’re taking a risk on something you can’t test on the yard like a MAF or AC compressor. (Like the others, you can’t return a part for cash, only to swap out a similar part within 30 days.)
This one was not as busy as the pick-​a-​part places near Long Beach, so they gain a star. However, they could improve to the standards of other pull-​a-​parts by having an online inventory of cars on the lot, how long they’ve been on the lot, and an online price list.
This particular lot does not have a good selection of German cars (VW, Audi, Mercedes, BMW) but does have an excellent selection of GM cars, including vans and large box trucks. And if you’re going for those German brands they are all the way in the back, far corner, so make sure you get a cart.
Saturdays are crazy, as that’s the day you get a lot of people sitting around, waiting for the new arrivals to be pulled onto the yard. It’s an interesting setup – you can see the cars «in waiting» to be picked in a separate section of the yard, and don’t be shy in asking when you think a particular car will make it out into the yard.
