Pros:
— $ 10 for admission and skate rentals.
— Skating with Disco Lights every Friday and Saturday evening + glow sticks
Cons:
— Offers only lace-​up skates which I don’t think is great for beginners
— Very uneven ice
— Boards coming apart
— Not much space near the borders to hold on to for beginners
— Small space
I was hoping to save a few bucks coming here with a group of friends but I was truly disappointed. I’m a beginner so I need to feel safe in the arena I’m in. That was not the case. I felt spoiled over at Ice Town in Riverside. The ice was even, the walls were maintained and offered enough space for skaters to hold on to, and they offered buckle or lace up skates. Ontario Ice Skating Center was the complete opposite. I left being afraid again of ice skating and would not return here. For a few dollars more, get quality skate sessions and visit Ice Town.

Had a 9 year old birthday party here. Was a good experience but dumb idea to bring children under 6. Too much work and trying to help the ice exhausting. However shout out and wonderful job to Starla for taking care of our party. Helping all the children and adults, remembering everyone. Thanks for everything!!!

Not even going to attempt to go here. I called to see what time they’re open til and got nothing but a bunch of rudeness on the phone and when I called back to speak to the manager, that was the manager. How sad

Ice was melting, and there were little puddles from the melting ice. The ice wasn’t smooth, as it looked like it hadn’t had maintenance regularly. Ice was also very dirty from the ice skaters. The restrooms were very dirty and nasty. 0⁄10 not coming here again.

If less stars were possible, I would give less. The rental skates are in disrepair, the ice is less even than the asphalt in the parking lot, and letting the hockey team in to destroy the ice further, cone off sections of ice, and antagonize the patrons into leaving is deplorable. We came here for my moms birthday as she used to be a figure skater and I was embarrassed for your pathetic business. Shame on you

This place needs an update desperately. The rental skates are so broken in that they have no support. You’re basically wobbling back and forth on the blade hoping you don’t fall over. Or break an ankle. And on that note, the ice was awful. Like a zamboni hadn’t been used in days. Every time you tried to glide forward, your blade would get yanked into a groove.
On the website, it states that free skate lasts until 430 on Sundays. Nowhere did it mention that the hockey teams would arrive at 4pm, half an hour before they should have been there, and basically take over the entire rink. They basically used the paying customers as cones to skate around as they pleased, nearly causing more than one collision and fall. They also destroyed what little clean ice was left with their maneuvers. And the coach came out and coned off a corner of the rink for his skaters, again disregarding the paying customers.
Bottom line, go somewhere else to skate. Pasadena has a nice rink, I hear.

Very, very, very poor customer service. Won’t let parents watch from the players’ box which is perfect for parents who want to take pictures without the dirty window pane being in the way. Then they don’t even allow parents to watch near the entry way which makes sense but then you are stuck watching and taking pictures through a dirty glass pane.

They very weird business hours so call before going. They close due to hockey and ice skating.
We went during free skate 1:30 — 4:30 but clearly it wasn’t because there was hockey practice going on. Coaches blocked off section of the ice for drills and hockey players were zooming in and out of beginners. It was very annoying and we left early.
Never returning!

Needs an overhaul. Ice is melted and dirty, gloves turns black if it touched the ice, even the restroom is filty. Don’t go at night, very very loud music and disco lights, better go a couple mile next door at the center ice, cleaner and nicer, without the 80s look. You will spend a dollar more but well worth it. Music is so loud we got a headache barely 10 minutes in, no wonder there are much less people going there, there are more people in the other arena when it is open for public.

80% of the time the ice is awful. The owner is literally always rude & the figure skaters act like they own the rink. The only reason I come here is because they have free skate basically all day.

My daughter and I have been skating there for a while. Great family atmosphere and coaches are very nice and willing to help. It does need a bit of paint on the walls but overall it’s a great place to go to. Happily going for 1 year and will continue to go many more.

The place smells awful. The rentals sucked. The guy in charge was not helpful. Did not once have the ice swept, so the ring was dangerous. Also there were a lot of intermediate Asian kids skating around and almost hit my girlfriend and I a few times. There was no referee to tell them to calm down. It was her first time on the ice and this place ruined the moment. Waste of money, gas for the drive, and time. Look for other places nearby. This ice ring will disappoint you even for the money.

Although the staff is friendly, I thought the place was a little dirty. The bathroom reminded me of a gas station restroom, so yeah… Not really clean.
It was our very first time ice skating so it was a challenge but fun. But I thought it was kind of odd that there were kids practicing hockey and hitting pucks against the wall. Granted, they would stop when newbies hanging on to the railways would pass by, but still. It seems to me like a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Overall we had fun, we may not go again for awhile, but definitely a fun experience.

My first ice skating experience occurred here. The skates are leather and have shoe laces. The ice was a bit rough when I got there and they smooth the ice at 4:30. Compared to ice town it wasn’t that great but it was fun! I do recommend coming here but Ice Town is a bit better but not enough to drive an extra 20 miles.

This place is pretty gross. This rink makes the Burbank rink look like a 5 Star hotel. I’ve been here a few times now and everything is sub-​par. The ice is terrible and needs to be redone NOW. The entire facility is in dire need of upgrades. The boards are falling apart and the walls need repainting from pucks hitting them. A lot of the boards are also rotting from water damage. As mentioned before, the ice is bad, lots of holes, very choppy. There’s also water puddles along some areas of the boards. Water doesn’t freeze well enough along the boards. One thing I also noticed was these yellow, circular egg yolk looking things in various spots on the ice. I believe the roof actually leaks and dirty water drips down onto the ice, causing these yellow ice piles. It’s really gross. I play hockey but have no intentions on playing hockey here, EVER. I’ll stick with Pasadena or El Segundo.
Don, the owner seems nice. I can see how others might have had bad experiences with him. He might come across old and cranky. Only one or two other employees there are pretty nice to talk to. All the other ones don’t really acknowledge or smile at you.
It’s true this rink is less expensive than others that I’ve skated at. And it’s true what they say, you get what you pay for. I don’t plan on visiting this rink regularly.

I didn’t get a chance to check out the ice, but I came to see a competition. They had great routines but after two it took a long time for the down time. They had to keep coming out with the machine to clear/​clean the ice. It made it take forever!
I did enjoy the routines! It looks a little outdated and looks like it could use a face lift! The carpets are old and the everything needs a new paint job.

I used to take lessons there when I was younger and remember the friendly people who worked there. Now I came back with my friends almost eight years later. There are some new people yes, but they were still very friendly. Even when me and my friend had a problem with our skates the man was very helpful. For the service I will give 5 stars.
The reason why I only gave three stars was because of the quality of the ice and skates. All of us in the group thought the skates were very uncomfortable and found ourselves constantly changing to a bigger or smaller size. Of course the man there was very helpful with it and was eager to help. The ice was very very dirty and rugged especially at the edges of the rink. It seemed like they haven’t passed a Zamboni over it in days…
Overall it was pretty fun and cheap too, especially since we skated the full 5 hours of the public session.

The ice, sucks.
Let’s just say, the ice is shallow (you can see the bottom metal), slushy… and definitely not cold enough.
Surprised this is still in business.
Other than that, skate rental and admission is $ 9.50.
I would not come back due to the ice problems.
