I love this place. They have a good variety of items (dresses, cardigans, accessories, etc). I do wish they had more plus sizes but they have a decent amount. I have bought 3 dresses, a purse, a wallet, necklace, a petticoat, a corset, and my wedding veil from here.
I didn’t see cat the last time I was here, but she rocks!

I am in love with vintage clothing. And it was at good price considering other vintage stores. The young lady who helped me was great. She adjusted the strap of the dress so it would be a better fit. And added a petticoat to it. I honestly was just going to get the dress but I loved the dress even more with petticoat underneath. Yes, it is pricey but if you are careful with the clothing it can last you a while.

Not sure why this store has such negative reviews, I have always had a good experience shopping here! Been greeted every time I walked in and asked if I need help or if I’m looking for anything in particular. The other day I tried on some dresses and pants, the sales lady (I think she may have been the owner but I didn’t get her name) was very helpful and offered to grab me any item in another size to try. Left with an adorable cardigan I can’t wait to wear everywhere.
The clothes are a bit pricey, but they are what you can expect for the brands and quality they carry. For instance, I saw a pair of Deadly Dames capris for sale for the EXACT SAME price they go for on that brand’s website. Except inside of guessing my size and paying for shipping, I can try them on here and buy from a local small business. Win win to me! I’m so happy to have a pin-​up store nearby and will definitely be coming back!

I love this store and their products. I purchased a wallet last night and asked if it had a zipper and they said yes. Came home to switch wallets it had no zipper. I called today telling if I could please exchange but they said they had to follow their no return policy. So I just spent $ 35 on a wallet I will never use. Thanks a lot.

Vanessa is awesome! Very keen eye as to what is flattering on any body type. I’m a bigger gap and she was honest, kind, made suggestions on things I would ordinarily not have tried. But, I’ll be darned if her suggestions weren’t dead on. Prices I found reasonable based on prices elsewhere for vintage 50’s stylized items. I was not greeted when I walked in but I prefer that. I like to be left alone until I need help. Then when I needed help Vanessa was right there. Can’t wait to return to buy more items!

My daughter went to find a dress for dapper day at Disneyland and the girls at the store were very helpful and helped her stay within my budget, She was very impressed with the customer service and the quality of the dresses. Thank you Vanessa (?) and Laura :)

i don’t remember any of the ladies that helped me but they were so helpful. There was one guy in there who seemed clueless but the ladies were on it. They helped me find a peticoat for my dress, which made a big difference. It was for my daughter who wears an XL comfortably, the sizes run small so a bit snug but she loves the style as she is into dark themes yet wants to still be feminine. Our dress was about $ 94 including accessories came out to about $ 178. Not bad. Thanks

«Hey Doll»?! Seriously, this is how you are going to address serious concerns about your employees gossiping on the sales floor?! How absolutely unprofessional and smug you people are! My son has spent hundreds of dollars in your overpriced and overrated store. He finally saw the light, over this weekend when he visited your store and I guess had a hard time «getting to know» your employees while they were again gossiping and ignoring paying customers. When one finally broke from the pack… she barked at my son that a particular item wasn’t available and then went back to shoot the shit with your «hard working crew». Listen Toots, your «crew» is costing you money… or perhaps YOU ARE!

Forget everything I previously wrote. That old me has died; I strolled in with my friend looking at the shirts. We were there for a few minutes and weren’t greeted or helped. We go to the counter and look at the items inside it, still not helped. Then I go to ask a question to one of the employees. Looking back on it I regret it because she started giving me attitude over it which as a consumer I don’t appreciate. Honestly don’t waste your time here, I know I’m not.

I’m not sure what people are talking about with the the customer service being bad. We worked with 2 girls (Vanessa and C/​Kat) and they were both super sweet. We also met the owner and she was very nice as well.

I’m disappointed in my experience here. I’ve been putting an out fit together for a big 50s party, so I naturally thought this would be a great place to get some help. Nope! The first time the worker couldn’t be bothered to give any assistance unless I asked, and I was the only one in the store. Today, well not any better at all… Every question I had was putting the sales girl out. She acted like I was bothering her. Her and her co worker were more interested in flipping their dresses up to show each other their petticoats and the quality of them, then they sent me on a wild goose chase to the other store, where they didn’t have to product I was looking for… They didn’t even offer to call and check on the product. Nope to much work. And again, I was only 1 of 3 people in the store.

I’m not too sure why this store has so many bad reviews, I was hesitant to visit because I had previously read how their customer service is lacking. However, when I visited today I got nothing but the best customer service! I don’t quite remember what the gals name was but it says Brandy on my receipt so I’ll just assume that was the correct name of the employee who helped me in my selection when I was shopping earlier.
First off, they have a new location as of right now. They are next to Dave and Busters. But the store is much larger than their previous location so it’ll be perfect once they move all of their merchandise from the old location over. When I walked in both ladies working greeted me right away. Brandy walked over when she saw I was looking to try a specific dress. She was knowledgable on what size would fit me best since their dress sizes run a size or two small.
I tried on two dresses and two shirts. Brandy was so helpful through the whole process. She checked on me after I tried each garment on. Suggesting different belts that would go good with the dress or even having me try a petticoat to see if that would be a good option for me. She was patient the whole time.
The prices were pretty good as well! I’ve looked for Pin Up fashion before and the prices for dresses are usually over $ 100 per dress. I ended up purchasing two dresses and a belt from Pin Up BOOtique for under $ 150! It was a great deal to me! I will continue to shop here as long as their customer service remains the same as I experienced today. Their clothes are so cute I can’t resist! Five stars for the service I received from Brandy, I hope all of their employees can learn from her on how to treat customers. As long as that stays the same I will keep coming to shop at Pin Up BOOtique! :)

CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS CRAP.
My sister & I came to Ontario Mills, having traveled over 60 miles, this past Saturday 3−25−16. We were patronizing businesses & spending $$$. But by the time we came to this store, we were literally snubbed. The guy at the cash register stopped in his tracks and stared at us with a scowl on his face. We NEVER heard so much as a «Welcome» or «May I assist you ?» Another male came out of nowhere to «follow» us, never offering any assistance whatsoever. A female employee on the floor passed us by, MULTIPLE times to assist the Caucasian customers that entered the store after us. That was the final straw.
It didn’t take long for my sister & I to decide that we would NOT be spending any money in this store. The clothes are cute, but not cute enough for me to subject myself to poor treatment in order to get them.

Customer service was shit. We were having a good day looking for prom dresses for my best friends little sister. When we got there everything was good and we were just trying on dresses. Than she wanted to try on a different dress and I asked one of the sales associates to get it down. Her name was Joanna. When she went to see if they had a size and brought it down they had the size before that and she said it wouldn’t fit her. How rude. Me and my friend were pretty much in shock and after a few minutes I asked her to go get it down anyway and she did. AND WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT IT FREAKIN FIT. Long story short it made her feel like shit and now I’m calling the manager tomorrow morning. Being a sales associate I always tell people to give different sizes a chance. You don’t tell people that they can’t fit into things. It ruins people’s self esteem and their perspective of themselves.
EDIT: Manager reached out which is good. Hopefully this sales associate will know better next time.

I came here having low expectations. I knew nothing about the pinup style. But I needed an outfit for a fundraiser photoshoot I signed up for. So I went in thinking I’ll try on stuff to see what style I liked and looked best on me. And then I’ll just buy what I wanted online. I ended up walking out with $ 160 worth of stuff because it was so cute!
The ladies were all helpful and pulled stuff down for me that was hanging high up. In the dressing room, the girl was attentive and helped me zip up, pair accessories and gave recommendations.
I was in there for quite a while trying things on. They didn’t rush me. They weren’t rude.
Overall I’ll be going back to find another outfit soon.

I want to update my review. I went here a few years ago and was treated very poorly based on my weight. Today 25feb2015 and I got EXCELLENT costumer service. They helped me with everything I needed. And were happy to help me with zippers and changing sizes. I will no longer be scared to be discriminated against in this store. I’m very very very happy with the service! I will go back every time I’m over this way! The prices are high but they are high everywhere.

I keep coming back here and I love them more and more in always happy to see the same girl she’s so sweet. I will continue to come back every time I’m down here.

We have pretty much no pinup shops in Baltimore, so finding out that California has them pretty much by the handful in every town was a shock. Especially for my wallet. This store is inside of what appears to be a huge mall (which I did not bother to explore). The staff was friendly but not overtly helpful, which I didn’t mind. They have clothing from every major label that you’d expect to find. I got a red blouse to match a pencil skirt, paid $ 36, left happy. I wish we had a store like this near me!

Love this shop. The inside, and outside is cute. Only down fall clothes, shoes, accessories are really expensive haha I know right?!
When I went in last month however, there were 4 employees who didn’t even acknowledge me so I walked out. Hopefully I can find another shop similar to this with better customer service and decent prices.

I wanted to like this place. I truly did. I came in ready to spend, and was dressed in my usual gothabillly/​rockabilly look from head to toe. Felt the same way at Pinup Bootique as other customers who were snubbed. If you’re gonna initially snub me, be equal & snub everyone else along with me. Otherwise, it feels bad, man.
Don’t ignore me as I pass, then greet & kiss the asses of all the older white ladies and other white people who come in just to be lookie-​loos. It wasn’t until they realized I was serious about buying that they offered to help me out. A bit rude, though they quickly changed their tune.
As for price/​selection, they have a good one… though their stock of decent boleros are limited. I bought the last black satin bolero priced at $ 23. A lot of the basic stuff they sell can be easily found at Santee Alley for ¼ of the price. They also have a small stock of Kreepsville666 (the octo jeweled necklace is about $ 23) and a nice selection of retro sunglasses. Hellbunny dresses are $ 60 – 70 and higher quality stuff is around $ 130.
TLDR; I dunno if it’s a prejudice/​profiling thing, but I wasn’t greeted AT ALL despite being the ONLY paying customer in the shop that hour AND I was dressed in gotha/​rockabilly-​esque style to boot. They only seemed to greet white lady tourists. What a shame.
