I went there once a couple months ago and the food was really bad (I don’t remember what I ordered. I decided to give it another try yesterday since is the only Salvadorian restaurant in Ontario that I know. I ordered two pupusas (queso con loroco y frijol con queso) first of all, I don’t know what type of cheese they used but it was disgusting, the horchata salvadoreña had a acrid taste (I didn’t drinking and asked the server to change it) and la salsa para las pupusas is the worst i have ever taste.
If you can go to another place, do it! this place is not worth it plus you will be avoid having an upset stomach.

So as a frequent visitor to this place I am beyond disappointed at the way I was treated. I called to place an order way before the hours posted for closing. When they answered my call I asked to place and order and they said no because they are closed. You could clearly hear people in the background and it is posted on the hours of operation that they are not closed. If this is how you want to treat a frequent customer o can go ahead and take my business elsewhere. You should not blatantly lie to a customer just because you are too lazy to make two pupusas.

Pupusas are HUGE!!! definitely worth $ 2.25 each. I was full after one and a half. the chips were a little over cooked. the atol da elote was warm and yummy and the salvi horchata is legit!!! great place with great food!

Really wanted to like this place, but it’s a so-​so for me. The good thing is that their food is pretty good, albeit salty. They have plenty of options for their pupusas and I liked their curtido a lot. It was pickled just right for my tastes and went well with the pupusas.
Our server was nice and did her best to make sure everything went well for us, bless her. The not cool thing is that this place is overwhelmed and the servers are rushing around like headless chickens trying to get everything done. They need another server and another hand in the kitchen. Watching their system only gives me anxiety. I’ll start off by saying that if you have a party bigger than 4, your food will take a long time to come out. Since there was a huge party of 10 or so that just placed their orders before we did, we anticipated a long wait for the food. The big party, however, was getting upset and I think a couple of them didn’t get their food for a very long time.
We were hungry, yes, and everyone had to wait a long time for their food. Reading the reviews for this place, it seems to be a recurring issue that hasn’t been addressed yet.
Onto the food– pupusas were good. They were a bit dry but had a thick layer of masa. The cheese was plentiful and I got a pupusa through my Unilocal check-​in in addition to my Combo #3. The Mushroom and Cheese Pupusa was delicious, whereas in The Loca, I struggled to find a hint of pork at all and I got just loroco flower and cheese. As I mentioned earlier, the curtido was well-​matched in taste to their pupusa, and I found myself eating quite an embarrassing amount of it. I liked it a lot as it wasn’t too sour.
I also really liked the chicken pastelito. It was like a fried empanada-​shaped mass of masa then stuffed with bold-​flavored chicken and potato. So delicious, but pretty salty. I would actually like to order these to-​go, but they do take time. The side of rice was salty but good and the plantains were greasy.
The portion size was phenomenal, however. My friends got the churrasco plate and they liked it. The burritos came with a side of chips, which by the way tasted good with their salsas, but my friend said the burrito was smothered in too much cheese. That’s a good thing if you really like cheese, though.
Overall, I would really like to try more food here, but the wait time is just a bit much for me. Don’t come starving is my only advice to you. They do take-​out orders and that sounds awesome, though!

I have had better pupusas. I have given this place numerous of times trying new items but never to my satisfaction. The one thing I did like very much was there passion fruit drink… The pupusas filling was not quite tasteful and it had a large amount of dough (masa) rim around it… When family choose to have dinner here I just order the drink but not there food. Yuck!!!

Best popusas i ever had!!! Everything is delicious specially their horchata salvadoreña brings me chilhood memories, sooo good, down side is they take a while since they make everything to order, other than that u cant go wrong with these place so worth the wait.

Very impressed with quality of food. It was also very tasty. I highly recommend this place. Just be aware, they take their time to cook so be patient, I believe it will be worth it (it was worth it for me!)

Came on a satuday around lunch. it was pretttty busy. server took a while to get to us but i didn’t mind since it seemed like there were only two servers and about 20 tables or something. Our server, michelle?, was super nice. I asked about various drinks and she offered to bring us samples… dudeeeee… anyways i asked to try the strawberry chia, the southern passion fruit, salvadorian horchata, the fruit ensalada drink and white cherry. in addition to what we asked for, she brought us the mexican horchata so we could compare it which i thought was great service. so glad we got to sample stuff… i was not a fan of the salvadorian horchata. too strong on spices and just had a taste that i wasn’t a fan of. mexican horchata tasted pretty good. fruit ensalada was okay. the apples in it were meh. strawberry chia i thought was too tart. white cherry was meh. so we went with the passion fruit. you could tell it was house made cause it still had tiny black grains which are from blended seeds… there was only a bit of it at the bottom though. anyways. food.
we ordered two pupusas, chicken and cheese and the ruveltas. mmmm both were pretty good. the chicken and cheese was the better of the two. I got the mix of rice and beans. forgot what they called that. and platains. mmmmmm… the huge thing of coleslaw was great too. we also got a burrito. oh man… so much food… the burrito was pretty standard. chips were great. overall, food was fantastic and we had so much left over… yeah… will be back if i’m in the area.

This is one of VERY few non-​Mexican Hispanic food restaurants in the Inland Empire, and it’s great! My favorite dishes are:
–Pupusas: I prefer the plain cheese or mixed pork/​beans/​cheese, but I’ve heard that the loroco and vegetarian ones are good as well. Oh, and they’re huge. At other restaurants I’ll have two, but I’m perfectly satisfied with just one here.
–Pan con Pollo: this is such a good sandwich! The chicken in its salsa is so tender and juicy, and all the other stuff they add just makes it so yummy and filling! Make sure to have plenty of napkins on hand because this sandwich is a huge mess to eat.
–Tamales de elote: Ok, so these corn tamales aren’t the best in the world, but they’re warm, comforting, and just taste really good. They’re a little dry, but a smear of the sour cream that comes with the order helps with that.
Definitely a great spot to hit up if you’re Central American and craving some familiar food. The only downside is the crazy slow service. They have a sign at the hostess stand stating that the wait is terrible because they make all their food to order, which is fine, but maybe hire more people? I recently placed a phone order, walked in 15 minutes later, and still had to wait 25 minutes for my order. Maybe if they had free WiFi my wait wouldn’t have been so annoying, but I suffered in silence because I knew my food would at least be good. Just expect to wait a while, and maybe know what you’re going to order so you can place your order as soon as you sit down. Otherwise it’s a great place!

Very authentic Salvadorian food. I’m very difficult to convince when it comes to Salvadorian food but this place nails it. Pupusas are amazing and the dishes are executed to perfection.

Would love to give this place 5 stars. Food is amazing both on the salvadorian side as well as the little bit of the mexican. The only downfall is the service, they need to hire one or two more employees through the week.
The churrasco migueleno is my favorite dish there and overall on point. Pupusas are authentic af, very delicious. Sopa de res meets mexican expectations and their pan con pollo is just as expected. Cannot state how good the food is. Order to go and add about 5 to 10 mins before you pick up. If you go sit and eat expect a wait time. Food is on point!

Oh my! I’m super excited to have found a Salvadoran Restuarant near me. I have to start by saying that when I walked in this place was spotless. I love a clean Restuarant. I ordered to go so, when I got to the Restuarant my food was already ready. The pupusas are pretty big and they were really tasty. I will be coming back to feed my salvi cravings!

Pupusas are affordable! They are definitely a bang for your buck! I normally order 2 and I barely finished 1! I ordered the pork and the jalapeño pupusa and they were delicious! I also ordered some empanadas and they were also very appetizing! I’m glad the IE has some great Spanish spots to hit up!
Wait!!! Also loved their Mexican sodas! Haven’t drank a coke or a sprite from a glass bottle in a long time!!! Guilty pleasure goodness!

We had the meat empanadas but I think they’re called something else here.
We had the bread with turkey so delicious and a side of fried plantains with beans and sour cream.

For years my mom and I have been coming here and we don’t go often because each time it is more disappointing than the last.
To begin with — make regular coffee and if people want cinnamon in their coffee, add it — don’t make all your coffee with cinnamon. How does the taste of cinnamon go with a fish dish or carne asada?
That alone kept us away for a long time. My mom needs at least three cups of coffee with her meals.
Then the cooks changed. It was noticeable and apparently keeps happening as the only consistent thing is the inconsistency in the food.
Casamiento was made with a whole bunch of other ingredients that makes me wonder if they just used a bag of premade mix. However, it wouldn’t explain the chicken bone I bit into.
It did not have the taste of casamiento at all.
The curtido is a big joke! And you know that you have to have good curtido to go with the pupusas — but I guess they match each other as the pupusas had all the filling in the middle and not much on the sides. Still, that does not excuse using purple cabbage in the curtido. It’s a different taste and all wrong.
The platano frito was swimming in oil and a big mush.
The tamales were ok but they’ve been better.
There were two other tables occupied when we arrived and both had been served, yet we waited a very long time to get our food.
I felt bad to complain over so many items in our meal and we were only given a discount for the inconvenience.

Wow! I can’t believe it took me so long to try this place. My wife works a few minutes away and decided to take her out to lunch. The combo meals are inexpensive at a whopping $ 8 for a lot of food. Combo #3 comes with a pupusa of your choice, choice of yuca with pork or a pastelito (similar to an empanada), with fried plantains and casimiento (rice and bean mixture). We both ordered a #3 but I only tasted the rice and beans. I try to save carbs where I can (use them mainly for beer). They have aqua frescas too. Soda in a can or bottle. Even got a free pupusa with Unilocal check in. Total cost was $ 22.40 +$ 5 tip. Super cheap lunch and the food was delicious. So glad I hit the gym hard before my meal. Put this on your Unilocal bucket list. Happy eating!

Food was AMAZING but I had to take away a star for the hour wait to get the food. I will be back though because the pupusas were THAT damn good. I’ve had pupusas other places too including Fontana & LA.
I suggest: try the rajas pupusa if you like chile rellenos its sort of similar. Its got roasted sliced poblano chilies & cheese inside & this was like a sopa but stuffed with a relleno & enclosed. Only way I can describe it. The cutiva that accompanies it is good & fresh although traditionally it is a little more vingar~ish but still good nonetheless.
The crab pupusa was ok but not amazing.
Chorizo pupusa was my 2^nd favorite the chorizo was cooked great.
My son had the Salvadoran horchata & said he prefers it to Mexican horchata which is saying a LOT cuz the boy can guzzle down horchata!
The black beans were wonderful smashed and seasoned perfectly.
The rice was meh & the fried plantains were ok but I would’ve liked them crispier.
Overall great food reasonably priced. However I will call my order in ahead next time so it can be less of a wait for the food.

The food is delicious! Everything including the drinks are authentic and very good!
The service however… it needs work! There was 1 waitress for all 10 tables. They really need to hire another server. They compromised customer service by not hiring enough people to man a small restaurant.
