I have a 2012 Polaris RZR 900XP. I recently purchased the following items from SXS Performance:
1. Polaris RZR XP 900 Double Down Special
2. Polaris RZR Neoprene Shock Covers (Pair)
3. Polaris RZR XP 900 /​RZR XP 1000 Front CV Guards (Set)
4. Polaris RZR XP 900 Rear Suspension Plate
5. Polaris RZR XP 900 /​RZR XP4 900 Intake Booties (2011)
6. Billet Iron Cross «Red Baron» Exterior Rear View Mirrors (Set)
7. Polaris RZR XP 900 /​RZR XP4 900 Number Plates
I was on a time crunch and SXS Peformance came through with fulfilling the order and getting items drop shipped in a very fast manner. It was a really good customer service experience at this point in the game.
I ended up returning the CV Guards, Rear Suspension Plate, Rear View Mirrors and Intake Booties. Here’s where the experience started to go from great to a complete waste of my time.
I purchased my items on August 4^th, 2014. I tried contacting Mike to return the items. I never heard back. I ended up submitting my request through the contact form on their website before I got a response back a couple of days later.
Here’s the first response I got back on August 18^th:
«Hello Chase,
In order to return any items you would need to ship the parts back to us in order for us to inspect to ensure no damage has occurred. After that we would be able to issue a return minus the shipping costs and a restocking fee of 15% since the 15 days has passed since your order was received.

Notice at this point Chad very clearly states a restocking fee would apply since 15 days has passed. Also notice at this point it sounds as if the items have to be in their possession at the 15 day mark.
But wait, it gets better. Apparently Chad does not know their own policies:
«Hello Chase,
You will need to have them shipped to our address,
1195 E Woodlawn Street
Ontario Ca 91 761
Please fill out and return the RMA form and let us know what items you will be returning. After inquiring further with my management team the website states that the re stocking fee applies to items after 7 days and not 15 as I had misstated last week. We can offer store credit with no re stocking fee however.»
And Chad still changes the policies yet again in a later e-​mail:
«…Our policy allows for a return to be inquired about 7 days after the product is delivered which we believe is ample time to inquire about a return. If you would like to use a portion of your return to order shock covers we can help with that but the restocking fee does not change.»
I ended up returning the items without an RMA number. To date, I have not received an RMA number. The RMA form Chad sent me was a small icon to a document on their Google Drive. It took 3 times before I was able to actually receive a correct RMA form. What an absolute waste of my time just to try to return the items per their own policies.
So let’s review. First the return policy was 15 days, then it was 7 days and now we only have to inquire about it within 7 days. But wait, I did inquire about it within 7 days, I just never got a response.
Needless to say I’ve opened a dispute with AMEX to resolve this issue.
My advise is to stay away from this vendor. It’s a great experience, unless you need to return an item, then watch out!
