He went out of business. Good thing my home was«finished» before he went under. Although I had to hire other contractors to fix his work.

For all complaining on this board I urge you to contact the California Contractors State Licensing Board Please file your complaints. They will take action and the more complaints, the faster the results. You can file the complaint online and thereafter, they ask you to send in whatever hard evidence(receipts, contracts, etc.) you have by mail. It is an easy process to complain. Unilocal is allowing us to warn potential customers in our community but as you are aware, not everyone checks these boards.

I recently had work done on one of my rental properties. I started with windows. The work was very prompt and professional. I then decided to use them for some doors and countertops. The price was very fair Actually 10% lower than my most recent estimate. The work was done 2 days before scheduled finish. I recommend windows doors and more. 21 days later. We’ve been in constant contact. He has repeatedly told me how he mailed the check, his daughter is going to drive down to give us a money order, he doesn’t know what happened to the check etc etc. still no refund. Twenty one days for a refund that still hasn’t come after six months of not doing your job. update 7⁄22: On June 19th I requested a refund and on July 14th I finally received it. In a text to me the owner of the business said he would come drop off the refund and that he wanted to offer my mom her window installation for free. I’m sorry but that was too little, too late and I really just wanted to be done with this business and get my mom her money back. After that offer is when then check was lost in the mail and it took a couple weeks after that to get her her refund. Sorry if I dont think that was the most sincere or reliable of offers. Perhaps other people may have had a good experience with this business in the past but this is based on my experience with them. They left my mom hanging for 6 months, she repeatedly called and no one returned her calls, when someone would pick up they said someone would call her back and no one did, they were late to appointments if they showed up at all, and it took them almost one month to refund money after I requested it. All in all this was a 7 month ordeal for one window. It’s completely unacceptable. Based on my own experience with them I would not recommend the business. However, to each their own.
