My wife and I stopped in here on a Friday for a late lunch at the bar. The inside looks great: pool tables, large dance floor, fireplace, etc. We had lunch and weren’t very impressed by the food(I had the rib lunch special). Prices are reasonable. They would have gotten a 4 star rating if the bartender that served us had smiled just once in the hour we were there. Or maybe it was just that she didn’t look like she wanted to be there or serve us in the first place. If we’re in the area again we may stop by, but next time it will be for just a beer and to play pool. No need to eat or interact with the bartender any more than necessary.

***this review is for the bar portion of the restaurant Atmosphere of this place was amazing! Ended up staying at this bar for over 5 hours. Came in just before the lunch menu ended and opted for the fettuccine Alfredo and spinach and artichoke dip. Definitely some great choices! Both dishes were flavorful and well worth the price. What I loved most was the jukebox and later in the night live music. It’s a great little find in the middle of oracle. After an afternoon of horse riding this was just the place I needed. Pool is only 50 cents! The servers were very friendly and attentive even through the busier portion of the night. Will definitely be coming back here for some great food and great times.

I actually stopped in with a group of friends and sat in the bar on a stop while out exploring on our Harleys. We had lunch and it was great. The bar tender took our order and was able to keep up with the bar crowd while still ensuring we had everything we needed. I had the ribs and chicken while the friends had a variety of everything from wings to sandwiches. My food was pretty good and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. I can’t comment on the restaurant yet, but certainly will be back and who knows maybe even check in for a nights stay!

I got the catfish dinner with Mac and cheese and potato bacon soup. I am very picky when it comes to Mac and cheese, and it’s got to be one of the dishes I’ve ever had. Will definitely come back!

We have had dinner here twice. First was a German food meal they do on occasion. Average at best. We went back to sample the steak. We ordered ribeyes. A bit fatty and average, could not give a high recommendation. The service and side dishes were good. I recommend the bar. Happy hour prices are good. House band was fun. Get there early to get a good seat when the band plays.

The food was blah and overpriced for what it was. The kitchen wasn’t busy so I don’t know where the positive reviews are coming from. My boyfriend and I were told the bar attached was fun and not even halfway through the meal he(not being picky and loving a good bar) said he didn’t want to give the place any more business because the food tasted like a single-serve freezer meal, if that. The service was mixed, manager responsible when it came to an issue with food allergies for me. I’d recommend having a few drinks first in order to enjoy the food. Too bad it’s one of the only places in Oracle for a late night meal. Note: I’m not reviewing the bar as I did not go to it.

Stopped here for lunch before visiting the Biosphere 2. I was pleasantly surprised with the broad food and beer selection. Myself and two other people I was with ordered the buffalo burger — excellent! The other person ordered the stuffed baked potato. Everything had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. Our only complaint would be that the staff was inconsistent at being attentive and for a small town bar wasn’t very friendly.

There’s only like 2 or 3 restaurants in Oracle, so if you’re in town and don’t want to drive all the way down into the Tucson foothills, you don’t have much choice, especially for dinner. Fortunately, this is a good choice. It’s a basic steakhouse with basic offerings, but it’s well done and the service is excellent. I had a steak, properly cooked, one night, and fried catfish — which is easy to mess up but was very well done — on the other. Good soup with lots of ingredients, nice sides, albeit the«seasonal vegetables» I got were not quite what the waitress had said they would be.

Had not been to southern Arizona for many years, but a highlight of the trip was to see that the Oracle Inn Steakhouse was opened again and the steaks were as outstanding as they were when this dining jewel established its stellar reputation in the 1960’s. Prime rib was superb, as were the ribeye and chicken fajitas. However, best was the friendliness of Marci, our waitress. She was most helpful in our food service and very kind in helping us catch up on the past 25 years of history since we had moved from Oracle. Friends with us from Phoenix were delighted as well and plan to return often as a destination restaurant for motorcycle rides. Glad to see this jewel has regained its historic luster.

We stopped in during a short motorcycle trip coming down from San Tan Valley. I had heard about their fresh pies, so I had a slice of apple pie with ice cream. The pie was excellent. The ice cream was good, but I prefer vanilla ice cream with a strong real vanilla bean extract. Service was very good and they serve draft beer — lots of choices!

Best steakhouse ever! This was better than the tour of the Biosphere 2 that we drove all the way down for. The bread they bring is so delicious we asked to bring one to go — no charge! Kids enjoyed their meals — the macaroni and cheese was out of this world. My husband and I shared a ribeye steak. Seriously the best I have ever had. Wasn’t as excited by the taste of the jalapeño ranch as I was the idea of it. I wish I had some reason to go to Oracle again just to eat here.

So we’re on vacation and at a bed and breakfast but want some dinner nearby. They recommend Oracle Inn Steakhouse. A good choice it was! We walk in and everyone is friendly. They sit us down and it’s still happy hour so we got the popcorn shrimp from the happy hour menu. Then I got the el paso chicken and boy it was so juicy and had the perfect spice. Marinated boneless chicken breast charbroiled and finished with green chili, tomato, pepper-jack cheese, chipotle mayo, and guacamole served on a ciabatta roll. I also enjoyed their mac and cheese. My girlfriend was not hungry but she did enjoy her caesar salad. We were full so I was a little bummed I couldn’t try their dessert! Next time I will try not to pig out all day haha. If you are passing in oracle and want a sit down place I say give it a try. I give 3-stars for good service and food. It’s A-OK in my book. Hopefully next time I can sample their dessert!

I was very excited to eat here after seeing all the rave reviews while on vacation with family. I was unfortunately a bit disappointed with the experience. The service was fantastic! So there is that. We had a large party and the waitress was very accommodating and attentive. I never felt like we had to wait long for anything. I would give this place 5 stars if it was only based on service. The food however, was quite disappointing. The spaghetti was cold. The steaks, which most of us ordered, were for the most part dry. I ordered mine medium rare, which I felt like it *looked* like it was medium rare. But it was rather tasteless and dry. I heard many comments from family about their steaks being bland. I’m not saying don’t go there. By all means, do. But for the most part, I found this place just mediocre.

Went on the second weekend of the month for German food, so I can only rate that portion, but what a fantastic experience! The restaurant’s atmosphere is super cozy and welcoming — it is a steakhouse at the end of the day, but it’s decorated tastefully and very clean. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I had the German meatballs with sour cream sauce and schnitzel with a side of the red cabbage. All of it was pretty perfect — the meatballs were juicy and well seasoned, the schnitzel was tender, the amount of sauce was spot on, and the cabbage had a yummy tang of vinegar. Wouldn’t change a thing. For dessert I ordered the apple strudel — included ice cream, fresh whipping cream, and carmel — I was in heaven. The drive was upwards of an hour — but totally worth it. A must experience.

We went to the Biosphere, were hungry, and Unilocal said this place nearby was good. We’re both glad we tried it out. The ambiance of this place was nice. It was western without being too gimmicky. The service and food was also excellent. We had the salmon and the grilled chicken breast. I can’t believe how moist my chicken was. I got garlic mashed potatoes as my side. They didn’t taste like too much though. Not much garlic taste at all. That’s my only complaint. They’re were also decently priced.

My husband and I highly recommend the Oracle Inn! Personalized professional service paired with great food guarantee a terrific experience! We welcome supporting family owned local restaurants. The Oracle Inn is a winner and very close to Saddlebrooke! Don’t miss this gem!

I have lived in Tucson for decades… but I sure missed this gem of a restaurant, having never been there. My mother begged Gary(husband) & I to take her to the Oracle Inn Steakhouse’s once a month«German food» featured entrees. Oracle is a good 30-minute drive north of Tucson. For the love of my mom, we humored her & drove north to rural little Oracle, after a long day at work… and the joke was on us! The meal turned out to be FABULOUS, from beginning to end! What a grand surprise! It was pretty crowded but we were seated quickly on a Friday night. The building is well kept and quaint – a 1934 or so miner’s restaurant, originally, with rough and tough miners patronizing the place. Now it boasts historic displays in some separate areas, showing the history of the area. We didn’t even look at the normal menu, as we were here for, ta dah, German night! My rule of thumb is always get something at a restaurant that you wouldn’t easily find or make yourself. So German food it was! And what a great treat! In a nutshell: Forgive the spelling… Gary had wienerschnitzel(beef). Tender, with two sides-red cabbage(cooked, yummy) and coleslaw. Mom got the pork wienerschnitzel, with a mushroom brown sauce(or you could get a white sauce). Her was crunchy good, super delicious. I got the winner of the night, a curry bratwurst that was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, to my delight. Nice portion sizes, too. Cost was $ 12.99 up to $ 16.99 or so per entrée. I totally enjoyed every bite of that wurst thing, mixed with a red-colored sauce(nothing like normal yellow curry), eaten with spaetzl, the German doughy noodles. Killer good combo. I had that red cabbage also. They also served a marble brown/white bread with honey mustard. We strategically stopped oinking out(hard to stop) before complete fullness, so we could eat the homemade desserts. They had a huge array of choices, so we settled on mixed berry cobbler, strawberry-rhubarb pie and apple strudel, all served a la mode. Every single one(of course we sampled ’round) was fantastic. Our server was one of the sweetest gals I’ve ever met in the server capacity. We also met the owner, Kari, who was coming around talking to the customers table by table. She lived in German and also her chef trained on German food preparation-the source of this wonderful food. So, I cannot comment on the usual menu, but if you get the chance to do their«German food» menu, take a little car trip and do it! Great fun all around! Oh… and they have dancing in a separate area for all you dancing types! I think that is also very popular with the locals.

This place used to be in business before, but then it shut down for a long time. New ownership brought this place back to life and then some! The food is the best in the tri-community(Oracle, Mammoth, San Manuel). They have a typical steahouse menu but it is better than you would expect. I have dined here at least a dozen times and ordered something different everytime. Everything on the menu is good. Only one time I was disappointed everything was bad that night, food, service, drinks, it was just a bad night. Every other time though, it was a very pleasant experience. The drinks have a southwest twist to classics. There are suprisingly a lot of bottled beers and drafts. Appetizers are filling so be sure to share. Drink specials nightly and Live music on the weekends that are GOOD. The restaurant has a bunch of old western movie posters and has a great western feel. The bar is totally different. It is named JD’s Sports Bar. It i decoraded with a bunch of Jack Daniels paraphenelia. If you are hungry in Oracle or just driving by, this place is great.

Have you ever eaten at a place and thought to yourself, «I could live here!» Yep, I sure did. Now Oracle is a small town, and every small town has a local country bar/restaurant/steakhouse and Oracle did not let me down. You see, I was raised in a small town, and the Oracle Inn Steakhouse is my kind of place! The food was your typical steakhouse fair, but amazingly inexpensive. If you order off the menu, you’ll get a decent sized portion, not too big, not too small. But if you order the daily special, you’ll have enough food for two. The food and the atmosphere were fantastic. The waitresses were friendly and the food was served promptly. There is a small stage and dance floor and flat screen TVs all around the bar. CMT was playing on one and football was on all the others. I had a steak sandwich and steakfries and an iced tea for less than $ 11. We did return another day for lunch and I had the French Dip with garlic mashed potatoes and they were awesome! This is definitely one of those places I’ll be going back to again if I ever find myself in the area!
