I practice architecture and interior design in northeast Florida. My past projects have included houses, offices, medical facilities, churches, schools and a host of other odd, but very interesting and enjoyable, project types.

Additionally I am a LEED accredited professional (green architect) and enjoy researching and applying the latest ideas in sustainable design. I have designed several certified LEED buildings.

History

Established in 1989.

I have worked for several architectural firms, while still performing work on my own. My past commercial projects have included airports, museums, hotels, various office buildings and strip centers of all sizes, factories and warehouses, churches, schools, and university projects. I have also completed numerous residential projects from new houses, to additions and remodeling. In the spirit of Michael Graves (RIP) I believe that architects can turn their hands to many different types of design problems. In the past I was a co-​owner of a large architectural firm but am now happily back out on my own.

During and after college I worked for a small design/​build firm learning mostly about construction. I feel this was one of the highlights of my career. After that I worked for a prestigious architectural firm in Jacksonville primarily on airports and hotels, including Orlando Int’l, Savannah Int’l and Luis Muñoz in Puerto Rico. I worked for a while in California for a software company, Autodesk. Then back in Florida at a small firm that I eventually became partner of. During that time I developed a long list of elementary schools that I designed eventually performing work at the University of Florida (my alma mater). I have several LEED projects under my belt. Now I am thrilled to be back on my own, working the diverse portfolio I enjoy, with a nice mix of residential and commercial projects. I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart, Marti, and have two beautiful daughters and a little miniature dachshund.
