Never use this company! The are unreliable and unprofessional. They took my deposit and set a time for landscape installation but they were a no show and unresponsive. Spent the day waiting for them to arrive, with no phone or email response.

Accent Lighting just installed some accent lighting in our front yard and we are so happy with it! The installer did a great job. The wiring is well hidden in the landscaping, the lights are good quality and the company is professional and efficient. I would highly recommend Accent Lighting!

I am very satisfied with the service provided. They were very knowledgable and went above and beyond my expectations. I received advice on many topics that was not billed for. They repaired many items that another contractor installed incorrectly. My yard is now healthy and thriving! If you want it done right the first time, hire AJ.

These guys do a great job. I’m extremely surprised by the negative review as the job these guys did was very good. We had Alex and his crew completely redo our landscaping from the lawn to the hedges. The bid was done correctly and while we were scheduled approximately one month after the bid, this was as result of these guys being busy, a very good sign. I very much appreciated the honesty that we would have to wait a while rather than being told a job was going to be started on a certain day only to hear the usual SoCal excuses. Alex worked with us to design the yard, made valuable recommendations and made sure that the work was done correct, on time, and on budget. Even after the work was completely, Alex continued to come by to check on the irrigation, plants and overall work. He was responsive and returned our phone calls and texts very promptly even long after the job was completed. I highly recommend AJ Lighting and Sprinkler

This company is great. The owner Alex is awesome he really knows his stuff and really took care of me. I had some irrigation work done. They installed new sprinkler valves and heads for my front and back yard. I also had a few timers installed. My lawn looks green and healthy again… His assistant Kristine who works in the office also real knowledgeable and was real good with communicating with me and answering all my questions. i’ve already referred this company over to a few friends of mine. I highly recommend using this place for all your landscaping needs.

We have recently completed a full landscape at our home (front and back yards at the same time). We were working with Village Nursery in Orange for plants and asked for advice on landscape installation. The manager at Village Nursery highly recommended AJ Horticulture and Accent Lighting and Sprinklers, both owned and operated by Alex Franco. I’m so glad she did, I can’t imagine how we would have done it without Alex and his guys!
We were working under a VERY short timeline and Alex had different crews working on our project for a week to assure that all the work would be done in order to meet our event deadline. Design, irrigation. lighting, landscape they do it all … and do it well! Alex has 20 years experience so he had great ideas for us when we were unsure but was also great about working with us on elements that were important and even some decisions with which he disagreed. He kept saying «I just want you to be happy» and I really believe that is true. Best of all, he and his crew worked hard to make sure that both the process and the outcome was happy for us.
Alex is an EXCELLENT communicator by phone, text and in-​person, so you always know what is going on, where the project is in development and how much things will cost. The installation crews are competent and hard working, and Alex is onsite everyday overseeing the work. When the work was completed they emailed instructions for upkeep, fertilization and long-​care of our new landscape.
I can’t say enough good things about AJ Horticulture and Accent Lighting and Sprinklers. If, like us, you are looking for an exceptional company that can do it all, look no further, you won’t be disappointed. If there were more than 5 stars I would have given them. A+ for AJ and Accent!

Bob T. trusted my references for HVAC repair (Climate Air Masters) and plumber (Owen’s Plumbing) so I figured it was time I used one of his references. I’ve known Bob for some time now and one thing I’ve learned is he’s very thorough and does his homework before picking a company so I was confident in calling these guys up.
Besides being a showroom for lighting supplies where do-​it-​yourselfers can purchase parts they also have a huge array of services for people like me who have zero do-​it-​yourself skills. They do Lighting design & installation, Irrigation design & installation, Landscape design & installation, Sprinkler & lighting service, Landscape maintenance programs, Lighting service programs, 100% organic vegetable gardens, Fertilizing: foliage & deep root fertilization, Arborist consultations & reports, Ponds, Waterfalls & Fountains, Xeriscape, drought tolerant, native landscapes, Cottage, English Landscapes, Disease, insect, fungal identification and treatment, Tree lacing and thinning, and Professional Design Services.
What I needed was sprinkler repair. I had five automatic sprinkler valves in which half were leaking 24 hours a day. I wanted them all replaced. I called up Accent Lighting and Sprinkler and made an appointment. Dan showed up right on time and got to work. He’s a quirky guy but he knows his stuff and does the job right. Replacing the valves is a tedious job that involves lots of digging. He replaced the valves and the manifold did such a good job you couldn’t even tell the ground was disturbed. He smoothed out the mulch and put the plant back he had to remove like nothing happened. The previous valves were all crooked and sloppy looking, these new ones were installed perfectly.
Here in a few months I plan on having Accent come back out and design/​install landscape lighting for the front of my house. We already have it in the back but our front looks dark and uninviting at night.

Been a customer for years. This is the place to go when you want outdoor lighting and sprinkler systems that are a «step up» from what you find at home centers (or if you can’t find what you’re looking for).
Home center items are ok, other times, you want something more permanent, like when I installed lighting in my BBQ island.
I’ve purchased lighting from them 3 or 4 times, always been very satisfied.
They do a lot of work with professional landscapers, which is a good thing.
It’s a small place — personalized service! The staff and the owner are very nice, and truly interested in getting you the right product your needs — no up-​selling.
I asked about a problem with the landscape lighting in our planters, the guy working took the time to draw a diagram, teaching me how I should have laid it out, and what to look for in low voltage wiring at Home Depot!
He set me up with a fix for my problem, which worked great, and he educated me for future projects — I didn’t spend a dime in there that day!
Prices are a bit higher than Malibu stuff, but it is higher quality, better preforming and lasts longer. They offered a Unilocal check in deal!
Highly recommend checking them out, even if it’s to compare what’s available.
Another independent place that «does it right» and is deserving of your support!
